Rate this book
At 17, Adriana was an adept healer, but she faked her own death to avoid an arranged marriage with the vile Cotton Vibrio. When her plan went awry, the attractive Marko was mysteriously nearby and rescued her. Was she free from Cotton Vibrio and the village of Ozark forever?

Marko introduced her to The Knowing Ones where she discovered her true heritage as a member of the mystical group. As Marko helped her develop her own abilities, she fell in love with him. But Cotton continued to hunt her and eventually found her! Kidnapped and held hostage by an old conjurer, Marko was willing to risk everything to save her, including his own life. Can Adriana heal him before she’s called away by the Veduny Council, the leaders of the Knowing Ones?

When Adriana discovers the village has been cursed by the Council, she’s conflicted. She alone has the power to stop the curse or make it worse. The Vibrios and her wicked stepfather deserve to be cursed for their evil actions, but that also means innocent people could get hurt.
