Adriana is cute enough to charm the most austere of men and can even talk and run. And if the lavish party thrown for her first birthday is any indication, life as the daughter of the emperor should be nice, right? Now, if only her father would stop treating her like a dog…!
cute little Princess Ria has reached her first birthday....and most of the adults around here don't realise she has a rather adult inner monologue going on...
Where To Read: if you have money and want to support the artist; tappytoon. If you don't have money...well there are other places to read it but I won't name them for you. If you want to read it in Korean toonkor.redt
Themes: Overprotective Father, Family Bonding, Royalty, Second life, Reincarnated in Another World, Reincarnation, Smart Female Lead
Why You Should Read it and What It's About: Because it's the ultimate story about a parent's unconditional love.
It about a girl who is stabbed to death when she was 25 and reborn a (newborn) princess with an adult mind. The first thing she hears is her dad became king at age 19 and conquered 10 countries in less 5 years by killing everyone, including his own unborn kids. Just when he's about the choke the heroine to death, her reaction ( a sigh, of all things, lol ahahaha) really amazes him so he decides to keep her.
The story starts from the day she was born and we see her grow up with time jumps from time to time. It starts really similar to They Say I Was Born A King's Daughter but I think this one is so much better because the heroine is not all that manipulative and is actually really sincere.
In the beginning, since her father is such a maniac (he is like the biggest maniac ever) she thinks he's a demon and only gets close to her so that he can kill her any time he wants. And he's a little shit ok, he messes with her. Like he visits her every day, calls her ugly or takes away her pacifier or orders her to cry or insist they sleep at the same bed.
THAT...THAT BASTARD.
So she tries to act cute to save her life but curse him in her mind (which is like, shouldn't be funny but damn it IT IS FUNNY). Her father actually does love her but refuses to admit -even though you can see it in his actions. He kills anyone who try to use her to get to him or makes her sad (he kills someone because they made her cry, I told you he is a maniac) gives her his best and most dangerous bodyguard, gives her a private army (when she's like 6 lol ahahaha) , gives her his treasures and any country she wants. In return, she has to love and trust him the most so no boyfriend or secrets allowed.
THIS GUY.
IS SUCH A DAD.
AHAHAHAHA. SERIOUSLY THIS PROGRESSION SO FUN TO READ.
Since he's too over-protective and most of the time a big shit, the heroine has this super sarcastic thought. He inner voice is so much fun to read.
To sum up, the is the story shows how the love of a father for his daughter is purely unconditional and the bond between a father and daughter is unbreakable even though the said father is a maniac.
Other reason why this such an awesome web-comic: -intriguing plot -Slow pace but TOTALLY WORTH IT -Hot daddy -Because it's funny and cute and I'm like: GIVE ME MORE!!! -It's so witty and fluffy and even though the pacing is too damn slow every new chapter brings a smile to your face ;)
I just love this series so much I love Father and Daughter stories this one is especially good I like watching Ria grow and watching her father come to really love her more each day even if he is bad at showing it. I loved the characters especially Ria and Caitel her Father I really like how their relationship is developing they get closer the older Ria gets. I like the other characters as well like Ria's nanny and the few other characters that surround her. I love reading from Ria's POV and what goes on in her head about many things. I am loving this series looking forward to reading more.
Plot: Girl from the modern world getting transmigrated into the body of a royal princess at birth, with her dad the Emperor being a psychotic jerkass who she has to win over in order to not get horribly murdered sometime in the future. There's really not much difference in continuity between this volume and the last one, to be honest.
1. So. In this volume we are introduced to Assisi, the Big Bad Knight who is actually a sad boi of a marshmallow and who immediately carves a place for himself in our protagonist's heart. Unfortunately, he's way less interesting than the psycho emperor so the very visible shift to him being the guy Ria cares most about mostly left me disgruntled. I mean sure he's pretty but let us be real who isn't?
2. There are a few interesting plot things happening towards the end (seriously, this story is looking more and more like a loosely plotted version of 어느 날 공주가 되어버렸다 1 Eoneu Nal Gongjuga Doeeobeoryeotda 1 ) with each passing page) but it comes far too late to counter the black hole of the black knight for me. Ah well~

plot: the reincarnated princess has turned one. she could walk and run. but what's most intriguing is she started feeling something for her father. she started acknowledging him as her father and he suddenly turned overprotective of her. but the way her father is bloodthirsty, she needed to find why he isn't on rampage the southern kingdom and fight on the battlefield.
ohhh my, I love dranste and how he asked that he wanted to marry princess, I can't help- this is so cute (I'm sure he's two-three centuries old lmao)
Read this if you love: |• intriguing plot |• funny cheesy dialogues |• overprotective father |• dynamic relationship between father-daughter
Ariadna's adventures in the palace continue as she grows closer(?) to her father Caitel, meets more of his officials, and gets into trouble as only a baby can do... because she's still only one years old (or two years old if you go by the Korean method, which I didn't even know was a thing).
That being said, the biggest draw of this series is trying to piece together Caitel's past and why he is the way he is. And we do get a big glimpse at his past in this volume, as well as his connection to Dranste, which could have consequences for Ariadna. It's a bit of a slow burn, but I like it well enough.
We're slowly getting more of Caitel's story as Ria grows and learns about her father. Ria is an interesting mix of childish innocence and her more mature memories from her previous life, not that anyone knows about that except for Dranste who is rarely around and mostly interacts with her when no one else can see or hear him. It seems Caitel may not have any choice but to leave soon with the war dragging on, but he seems more reluctant than expected, and all because he doesn't want Ria to forget him. Turns out for all his past claims about immediately killing any child he may have, he is rather attached to Ria.

This is so wholesome but now I'm fretting about what's to come. If Caitel does end up heading off to the front lines... If anything happens to my grumpy treasured soft emperor then I WILL BE DISAPPOINT.
4/23 2.5 Stars. While I really like the basic story, the plot is slow and dull and it's more like reading an illustrated novel it's so wordy. Hope she starts to rapidly age soon so we can get more action.
Selain warna, aku baru menyadari panel cerita Daughter of the Emperor mirip dengan panel cerita The Abandoned Empress.
