The three continents of Buryoku converge and disaster looms.
A mystery man is free, and the world trembles with the power of the four Ancient Beasts.
Safaia, Tero and Garasu are on a collision course, and the clans of Buryoku scramble to brace for the impact. While Safaia is in an uproar, Roy heads into an ancient library in search of the secrets of advancement and the Path to Gray-Belt. What he discovers may change the course of Buryoku's history forevermore.
The Ancient Beasts are being drained of their untold power by a script array that even the Scions cannot break, and demons are swarming the continent, bent on conquest.
Roy's future looks bleak, but the Archfiend Sage won't give up without a fight.
Good addition to read he story. Power was gained, world was expanded, and characters were developed. Did not like the one death nor the circumstances surrounding it, but not everybody survives all the time.
Roy continues his push for more power as the world deteriorates into madness
The continents are on a crash course, the demons are returning to renew their assault on the world of Buryoku. Those who care are working to subtly push the future to a better place for the humans and Beasts remaining, mostly out of sight. Sadly Azure overstepped and was removed from his oversight of the planet, removing a caring observer. His replacement, Crimson, is less than interested until Azure crosses the line for a planet of weaklings and she must reassess her feelings. All the while Roy and his friends are with Hermit exploring an ancient hidden library from the time before the breaking of the continent and the sealing of the planets power centuries ago. Roy will kind of meet the man leaving him bread crumbs from the past, the Quicksilver Titan. Sadly there is another Titan hiding on the planet who will soon rise to power again as a divine.
The buryoku series takes place in a wealth lashed out and interesting universe. Exploring it with the main character has been a joy. This is a progression fantasy so it's kind of a mix of lit RPG and martial arts. There's lots of crunchy bits, but there's also as I said an interesting storyline and universe. Since this is Kindle unlimited, you can easily afford to skip said crunchy bits and just enjoy the story.
Fair warning much of this book is set up, but it is very good set up. Set the stage quite well and also does a great job of inserting real doubt into the series.
Without any doubt this is a great book in the Buryoku series and aside from a certain character's d****, the book is perfect. As I said before, story is the real MC hear.
