This is normally not my usual reading but I'm glad I discovered this serie... and I must say I can't wait to discover the book about Jet as I really like his character... such as Diana and Noire! The story is quite interesting and original : I really liked this universe where monsters are not necessarily the ones we call monsters... I enjoyed the steamy scenes as they were a real part of the story and not just spicy situations without context! Anyway, just be sure to read the trigger warnings before starting this one as the book may not be a good experience for everyone!

Noire: Temple Maze Level One is the first book in the Temple Maze series and it does not disappoint. It is a standalone for the couple but ends on a cliffhanger for the series arc. Noire is an Alpha that used to rule but due to an evil and horrible Omega named Rama, him and his brothers are usurped and thrown into a maze. The Maze was constructed to hold monsters of all kinds and do Rama's bidding. The rich and powerful pay to watch their enemies killed by the monsters residing in the Maze and the monsters and sentient beings are forced to live in captivity and through Rama's torturous games.
Diana is an Omega who works for Rama and has had everything taken from her by Rama. When she gets thrown into the Maze, she isn't without a plan and intends on getting Noire, his brothers and a few other tag alongs out. But not everything is what it seems and truths will come out and change the trajectory of EVERYTHING.
I loved all of the secondary characters in here, the fantastic world building and action that was unique and descriptive and how the stage was set for future stories. This was such a hot and fun take on Omegaverse and paranormal creatures. Noire was your typical alpha male that was violent, domineering and possessive. He is quite arrogant but Diana has a way of softening his sharp edges and she definitely flipped his whole world on its axis. Noire was a darker character but I love an anti-hero so I was here for it. He did and said all the right things to make him a top book boyfriend.
Diana was...well I was not expecting her character. She was incredibly intelligent and her mind was like a spider's web. She had so many working parts toward an end goal. She was fierce and caring but also ruthless. She was like an onion...so many layers.
The beginning of this was slow to start but it was essential to understand the world in which this was set. Once Diana was in the maze, the action picked up and it was nonstop twists and turns and a heavy dose of angst. I wish there had been a little more relationship development between Noire and Diana but I suppose it's difficult when you're running for your lives to gain your freedom. It's obvious they are fated mates but I didn't feel true love between them at the end. They are together but have a lot to learn about each other. It didn't bother me however because they are together and their intimate moments were hot as a NC summer. I was also fascinated by the steam in here as it was different and written in such a way that it didn't bother me. Overall, a fantastic world with so much potential. Can't wait to read about Jet.

What the holy hell did I just read?!?! Super original storyline with an omega that is kick butt! When you read as much as I do, it's always very exciting to get something completely new and unexpected and that's what I got here. The world building is fantastic - it's a bit of a slow laying out of the land, but once Diana gets dropped into that Maze the action just never stops! Well written with tons of twists, turns, and suspense. Noire is exactly as you expect him to be. Hard, demanding, privileged, and completely taken with the woman he knows is his. I love Noire's reaction to Diana when he first meets her and figures out that she is going to push him like no other has before.
"Mine. Diana is mine. My Queen. A natural ruler. She scares for others in the way an omega should, a way alphas aren't wired to."
Diana is wholly unexpected. Super strong with level expert snark that she doesn't even try to control - even when she knows it's going to get her in trouble. She has a soft heart, but is willing to do any 👏🏼damn 👏🏼thing👏🏼 for the people she loves and cares about. She has known Noire was hers since she was 7 and won't let anything get in her way. Layers. Diana is a woman with lots of layers

Noire can be read as a complete standalone, but the series arc ends on a cliffy and with the hinted at storyline, you're definitely going to want to pick the next one up as soon as it drops. The story is told in first person, from multiple perspectives. The Maze is the tool of a super devious and evil Omega, Rama who has trapped some of the continents fiercest beings inside - to include Noire, the fiercest Alpha who had ruled the area. The rich pay for the privilege of watching their enemies get torn apart for sport. Diana gets thrown into the Maze as punishment, but has a plan to get everyone out alive - if she can get them to listen to her plan. Exceptional read - HIGLY recommend!

Noire is the perfect level of darkness and I'm in love with the start of the Temple series.
Seven years ago, Noire and his three brothers were transported into the maze, a punishment from an avenging omega. Day in and day out they are forced to follow the wills of their captor. That is until Dianna arrives and changes everything. Dianna holds her own secrets though and as much as Noire wants her, he knows that he can't completely trust her.
This book is spicy as hell and has an amazing plot, the best of both words! Fury is such an amazing author and crafted so many lovable characters that I need more of.
I need Jet's book now!

I don’t like the hero.
“Deep inside Diana’s mind, we are somehow on even footing, and I cannot have that.”
Overtime that changes but not all that much. All his “alpha” bully characteristics remain. I don’t find it attractive .
Also, he does have to verbally explain how alpha and in charge he is which I find the MOST unalpha thing ever. In the end .. it’s not alpha to me to have to punish your mate for every bit of backtalk. Not my kind of dynamic at all.

I’ve read this author before but unfortunately of that prior one, I wasn’t a fan, it wasn’t really for me, well this just shows that you shouldn’t write an author off after one experience, give them another chance, If I hadn’t then I would have missed out on this particular gem which would have been a shame as I enjoyed this one very much.
Both books were omegaverse but every single point I brought up in my review of that one like the alphas acting more beta and it lacking the delicious dark primal behaviour that I expect from this particular genre well here it was the exact opposite. Unlike my previous experience this had all of that in abundance it was also combined with an imaginative dark and twisted storyline that was just so compelling and made for some addictive reading.
I adored the central plot with this one a maze with monsters where our Alpha and his brothers have been imprisoned for the past seven years, made to dance at a puppet-master's whim only becoming darker and more brutal the longer they have to endure their new nightmare existence.
Diana is an Omega one who has been forced to work for Rama the evil Puppeteer of all of this craziness. When she’s thrown into the maze as the next mark and easy prey for the creatures that reside in that twisted prison her only chance is to convince Noire that she’s worth saving and their ticket to freedom.
This isn’t a sweet and fluffy romance there are definitely blurred boundaries and a lack of initial consent involved. Noire is not a gentle Alpha and definitely makes no apologies for his brutal behaviour. Because this is omegaverse it works and this has lots of dominant possessive take what i want and am due attitudes.
The story was blatantly sexual in nature lots of force and overt voyeurism involved from everyone. There was also a strong story plot that kept things interesting. The story plot is yet to conclude and the next book focuses on the brother Jet I’m intrigued to dive into that one, especially with the dynamic as it’s looking to be a ménage type bond and we’ve met two of that trio already here.
This was well written with a strong plot and great fantasy world set-up I’m definitely going to be continuing on now as I’m massively invested. Do be aware this definitely has some dark content.

I was super excited to hear Ms. Fury was writing a darker romance that takes place in a labyrinth and I wasn’t disappointed.
Noire, the alpha leader, and his three brothers made a grave mistake that landed them in the horrible underground labyrinth. The labyrinth is a hellish realm where the evil Rama sends her enemies to die at the hands of the monsters she has imprisoned and orchestrates an epic unaliving... all for show and her elite, wealthy guests.
Noire is an alphahole…bossy, takes what he wants, no mercy kinda guy. Diana is about to turn his world upside down. As an omega, she is definitely not subservient and does not kowtow to anyone…especially Noire.
This is a fast-paced book with secrets, blood, gore, and steam, and it does end on a slight cliffhanger, albeit not one that made me feel obligated to read the next book, if that makes sense. It's more like an underlying plot cliffy…
I am interested to see what will happen next as the brothers try to exact their revenge on Rama and I will definitely keep reading this series.

-I’m just gonna throw this out here right now. This is not a romance it is simply dark entertainment so don’t get your hopes up 😅. But entertaining it definitely is.
-Noire is the Alpha ruler over the largest area in the land. He’s approached by another alpha and offered his daughter and omega Rama in exchange for helping their struggling land. He refuses her & help and upon that is attacked and thrown into the Maze. Something no one knew Rama was putting together.
-The maze is different and kinda a weird place. Its like Hunger Games but they have living quarters and are in a whole giant atrium type place on a island. They are basically slaves to Rama (Snow) and her rule. They have to hunt monsters and be prostitutes for Rama and the elites amusement and entertainment. It’s televised.
They spend each day fucking or killing in the maze all under Rama control.
-Not gonna lie I was kinda hoping Noire wouldn’t have the opportunity screw OW since he’s basically in prison. But oh boy was I wrong on that😳. If anything the 7yrs he spent there he had more than his fair share of sex.
-We get Vampire, shifters and all other kinds of monster 😈
-Diana has been forced to work for Rama and is thrown into the Maze as a mark to be killed. Noire and his alpha brothers want to have their way with the Omega before they kill her. But once she explains she knows a way out will they believe her or will they still kill her?

-This was an entertaining read. Not deep or even really romantic at all….maybe a tiny bit at the end. Omegaverse isn’t usually my thing to much crazy weird shit but I did enjoy this.
-Pretty much Alphas have their way with whoever and whatever they want and all others under them just have to deal. So if you go into it knowing that then Noire won’t bother you. He’s a brutal Alpha and a dick but towards the end Diana and their bond brings out a softer side to him…. Kinda
-I’ve seen all the reviews of people complaining that Diana the FMC wasn’t a Virgin and slept with Niore brothers knowing she was his fated mate.
But 🤚🏻 stop that shit right now. She watched him for 7yrs fuck tons of OW under Rama’s control on TV! Hell its tit-for-tat bitches. Thank fuck she didn’t wait around 7 yrs for him. No more double standards for woman😤…..But if you think NONCON is her sleeping with his brothers than you go ahead and keep being mad that she wasn’t a virginal sacrifice to her Alpha🙄.
-‼️SO just to be clear she did NOT willing sleep with his brothers. First she was sprayed with a HEAVY dose pheromone and the Alphas were going mad.

This read -- and series -- is a serious departure from Anna Fury's debut Omegaverse universe, but the qualities that make Anna an automatic addition to my library are ever-present. Phenomenal world-building introduces us to a world that is dark, gory, and sometimes hopeless. The intricate details about the different locations bring them to life; the maze itself becomes one of the main characters. The action and suspense as the characters navigate the maze keep readers on the edge of their seats as if you are trying the survive the maze with them.
Of course, it would not be an Anna Fury read without elevated spicy scenes, and she brings it in this read. I love the nuanced sexy moments between Diana and Noire. The chemistry transforms from a lust-based fling to a deeper connection that intertwines human love with the more animalistic Alpha-Omega bond, and it is done to perfection with the fast pace of the book.
This is the first of the series, and it does a great job of establishing a solid foundation that will keep us wanting more. I am already counting down to reading Jet's story.

This book is so under hyped but don’t worry I’m here to shove this down your throats until you read it. I devoured this. I absolutely love shifter romances and this really highlighted to alpha/pack mentality. The plot was completely unique and Im obsessed with the world Anna has built. I really felt for all of the characters. I loved the bond Diana had with the other characters in the maze but especially Noire’s brothers. Their relationship starts off unconventionally but I’m so into it. The spice in this was also spot on and I loved watching Diana tame her alpha. There are a few triggers throughout so make sure you check those if needed ⚠️ I can’t wait for this series to continue! This definitely won’t be my last book from Anna.

I thought the plot was interesting and unique with the whole maze setup and monsters, the 3vil omega outsmart everyone.. But the execution didn't live up to it. Especially, in the romance department - I did not believe their love nor their relationship development, cause it wasn't there I don't think.. 🤷♀️
Also, the scenes where his brothers fucked her in front of H.. added absolutely nothing to the plot. If it was there, at least would have been nice for it to be relevant to the plot to some extent.. also, like are you telling me that this omegaverse alpha character not bothered that h is fucked by his brothers first..really?🤣

My expectations were sky freaking high for this book. Imagine my surprise when it met every single one of them, and I 👏 want 👏 more.
📚 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲: Omegaverse romance, dark romance, romantic suspense.
📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: The Maze is the used for entertainment. People pay to have their enemies dropped in, to watch them suffer and die at the hands of the monsters inside. One of those monsters is Noire, a former alpha and ruler of the city who was has been kept captive for 7 years. When Diana gets dropped into the maze, she makes it her business to find Noire, no matter how dangerous she is, and to escape together.
🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: I was sucked in from the first chapter, and turned pages like the monsters were actually chasing me to read faster.
Anna Fury nailed this. It was SO dark and SO true to the omegaverse and SO full of action I couldn't put it down. The book was like a grown up version of Hunger Games with all of the alpha vibes and some serious smut.
It was awesome to read as Noire, though a complete ass sometimes and a slave to his instincts, had an awakening of sorts and changed for the better. I adored Diana, who is a complete badass and never let's anyone stop her from doing what's right.
Then on top of that you have the case of characters, specifically Noire's brothers Jet and Ten, who the reader instantly falls in love with. Thankfully they're getting their own books so I won't have to miss them too much.
I will say the trigger warnings on this one are a real thing. The biggest one to be wary of is some serious dubcon, buy (and I can't believe I'm typing this) it was well done and bled into the actual plot of the book.

Maze Runner but make it omegaverse.
Read it in 1 day. Best introduction to shifter romance I could want. I'm so glad I didn't let the cover put me off reading this little gem. Definitely not for everyone but if you're looking for something spicy with a hint of dystopian fantasy you'll definitely love this as much as I did. It's SO well put together. Every element from the smut to the plot is balanced and keeps you engaged throughout the story.
Mind you, this is coming from someone who doesn't generally gravitates towards werewolf/shifter romance. I find the growling, claiming, and all the made up alphahole theories cringy af.
But this... this one is good. I definitely recommend it as an entrée to the omegaverse 😌 🤌.

Wow, okay, I am obsessed with this book…
Like truly obsessed, this book has everything, we start with a monster guide, followed by a pronunciation guide, then we get a map and finally a ‘quick history lesson’ which gave me chills:
‘The villain of our story was born and grew up in Deshali, her soul twisted and torn by life among true monsters–eventually turning her into the very worst one of all.’
This story broke my heart, made me scream with anger and envy Diana for all the 🌶 she was getting.
I binged this book in about 5 hours, I was honestly so obsessed I couldn’t put it down, yes I messed up my sleep schedule, yes I regret it now as I lay awake until 3am each night; but I’m 1000% going to do it again for Jet!
Anna’s writing kept me on the edge of my seat impatiently waiting to find out what happened next. The plot was great and gives me dark paranormal Theseus and the Minotaur retelling vibes. Our villain was so well written that although I knew she was a psychopath; I still don’t think I know the true extent of her evilness (is that a word?).
Noire is a cold hearted, violent, possessive, cocky, sexy alpha; but honestly I can’t help but love him, I think that says a lot about me.
Diana is a headstrong, boss b!tch who purposely gets on Noires nerves which I love.
I would like to state that it is a dark romance, and there are several trigger’s including non-consensual sex, drug abuse, death, psychological abuse and violence. Anna has provided a trigger warning at the front of the book and encourages anyone who feels uncomfortable to email her so she can give a full list of triggers. This book also contains knife and blood play, along with a threesome, an exhibitionist scene and a Vampiri orgy so enjoy😉

I really enjoyed this first book in the Temple Maze books. it was dark and twisted and had me hooked and on the edge of my seat all the way to the end.
the character development was amazing, and I loved reading about Noire and Diana, the "side" characters in this book had crazy development too. Cashore is probably my favorite but I can't *wait* to read Jet and Ten's book.
second thing that was incredible? THE WORLD-BUILDING. just wow. it was so vivid, and I loved that there was a monster guide AND a short history lesson at the beginning, those definitely helped in keeping some of the monster types clear in my head and it offered a little extra background info. but even without that, I thought everything was written really well and was super descriptive. and if the Maze didn't sound absolutely terrifying I would have said I wanted to visit 😂
overall: loved it. I thought it was written well, loved the characters, world-building was great, story was not predictable and there is a happy ending... ish. for the main couple anyways. I need the next one ASAP tho bc my poor baby alpha :/

October 29, 2022Rape, rape and more threat of a rape. Not my thing. The first sex between H and h is rape. Then the second sex scene his brothers rape h, which is sharing and raping , not my thing. But...I will not rate because there was a warning and I went in it willingly . The book is nicely written and if did not contain rape and instead it was a dub-con done nicely and the H was a bit different towards the h I would gladly continue with the series. I do not mind dark but I do mind asshole who like to rape and control. For me that describes Noire.

I got tired of it. It was going nowhere. 50% in and they're back to, essentially, square one. So a lot of what happened in that first half was completely unnecessary. Plus all the abuse and rape gets justified because "boys will be boys" or in this case, alphas. Big no. Also, world building is almost nonexistent. DNF 50%. I managed to get this far because the action is decently written.

This book is set in some type of futuristic world. The MMC, Noire, is an alpha and he and his brothers are stuck in a maze full of monsters. The maze is put together by this horrible omega. Diana, the FMC, somehow lands herself in the maze at the same time as Noire and his brothers. Together they try to escape.
This is my first shifter/omegaverse and I really enjoyed it! I read it in one sitting and stayed up til 3 am to finish it.
Noire is your typical alpha, moody, demands respect, leader of the pack who is hot as hell. He’s ruthless and doesn’t hold back in letting himself do what nature intended his species to do. That being said, he had a soft spot for some people.
Diana is a strong, independent, go getter omega. I loved her personality and her desire to push Noire and the boundary of him being an alpha.
There was a ton of action which made me keep turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. The whole world building was great with different species, territories, and relationships all kinda thrown in the mix.
I really enjoyed the relationships between Noire and Diana. In addition, the relationship between Noire and his brothers as well as all of them and someone else was really nice to see. It gave a bit of found family vibes.
Finally, I thought the foxes were so precious and I loved their role in the book. The spice was 🔥.

When I bought this, it was the “escape from a maze” aspect that drew me in. What I hadn’t realised was that the main characters were shifters and this is a genre I wasn’t particularly keen on but I was wrong! This was a fantastic novel and I loved the world building here. Now on to book 2 (which I didn’t think I would have said when I first opened it).

I did not know what to expect when Anna said she was coming out with a darker omegaverse book after The Alpha Compound Series. I love dark romance, but I did not know how this was going to go. Cutting to the chase....it went fucking fantastic.
The world building, plot, smut, tension, angst...all of it was grade A material. I was in a book slump before this and Noire really did hit the spot! It is darker and a little *rougher* around the edges, but I ATE IT UP!
This story pulled me in from the very beginning with the flashback and the air of suspense that set the tone for the rest of the book. Noire is a jackass...simply put. But he is a jackass that cares for his brothers and his people that he has not seen in 7 years...until Diana gets thrown in the maze. Diana is pretty badass, even though she doesn't seem like it from the jump. She is strong willed, compassionate, and the perfect yin to Noire's yang. AND THE ENDING....yes please! We live for twists and turns like that!
As always, Anna leaves you wanting to know more about the side characters as well. I enjoyed getting to know them in hopes/expectation to learn more about them in future books in the series. I highly recommend this book!

Holy Crap!! This book has had me on edge from the very beginning!
The creativity that has gone into this story is epic! Anna Fury has a fascinating mind. The worlds and characters she creates are absolutely amazing.
Alphas, Omegas, and Vampiri, OH MY!! That's all I'm saying about that. I don't want to give too much away. You really need to read this book. I'm getting serious Maze Runner vibes though.
You have your band of "misfits" with one goal in mind. Get out of the maze. Facing one obstacle after another, you're thinking to yourself, "they gotta catch a break soon", but nope, it's another obstacle that's even more dangerous than the last.
Then I'm creeping up on the end and I'm like "WTF??!! NOOOOOO!!" and then I'm yelling at my screen and my eyes are getting all watery!
Wait...Have I mentioned how feckin HOT Noire is??? I really do love Anna's Alphas. He can manhandle a woman like nobody's business! *WHEW* Primal Perfection!

My mind is spinning, I’ve never read a book like this before! I was worried going into this read because it’s not a trope I would normally read, but my god am I glad I persevered. Amazing read and I can’t wait for book 2. You have to have a brilliantly twisted mind to write a book like this! I was a huge fan of Anna’s writing before and this book just solidifies my adoration for her as an author!! And oh the spice level is a 10!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

WOW! This was intense AF. I couldn't put this book down. Hands down, for the storyline - this is brilliant book!
I have truly nothing to say about characters, storyline and action. It was fantastic.
But man, that romance part... Sucked minotaur balls.
My biggest issue was h and her inconsistency.
From the beginning, she goes: He's to be feared, he's brutal, he was a brutal and cruel ruler etc. She was terrified of him.
Then we learn her master plan and, her being afraid of him and thinking him being some scary antihero didn't make any sense whatsoever.
We get a scene where H two brothers fuck her and she didn't do anything to stop them. At first I was okay, well she's a random chic in there and it's pretty hot scene.
Half a book later we learn she KNEW since she was 7 years old he is her true mate and she let his brothers fuck her? I just cannot with this! It made me so upset. If they both would have found out after this scene fine by me, but SHE knew and still didn't say anything to stop them and she participated and orgasmed.
Afterwards it wasn't addressed at all from anyone. WTF!?
Then another inconsistency. She said she never slept with an alpha and she never had anal (H took her first time anally). So it was implied she did have sex with om... while knowing H is your bondmate???? Again, with true mates, I just cannot with this.
So, yeah this part sucked so bad. I honestly am all about do whatever you want but true mates, well nope. Noooope!

Noire, the first instalment in her new series has intense world building that draws you straight into an action packed omegaverse.
The characters are well developed, with natural progression and lots of interesting quirks. Noire and Diana. Wow just wow.
This book made me think of the maze runner and the hunger games having a supernatural baby but so so much better. It is considered a dark omegaverse and there are some trigger warnings but honestly, I barely registered the blood play or the dub/con because it was so well built into the world created by this author it seemed a natural extension of the characters in their world. Alphas and omegas are such different people to us mere humans. ;-)
I can't wait for more.
I highly recommend this book. And am so so ready for the second book already.

Had to DNF about halfway through. It honestly seemed like the author was trying to see how many rape scenes they could jam into it. Fmc is described as sobbing while trying to get away multiple times. I understand it’s dark romance but there was no reason the fmc could have developed feelings towards the mmc when he continues to assault her. Also, writing wasn’t great despite general story line having potential.
