Pageant #2

Crowned

Rate this book
A twisted game gone too far. A woman on the run. Three men who won’t stop hunting.

The pageant has ended, but for us, the game has only just begun.

Konstantin, Elyah, and Kirill made my life a living hell during the pageant, and now I’m going to return the favor.

They want me and the secret I’m carrying, but they’ll have to prove they’re worthy before I let them call me their queen. It won’t be easy when their pasts come back to haunt us. Pasts that are soaked in blood.

The chase is on, and this time, the prize is more precious than diamonds.

The prize is my heart.

Author’s note: Crowned (Pageant, 2) is the second book in a mafia reverse harem duet. The heroes only have hearts and eyes for the heroine. It contains captive themes, violence, and a Why Choose romance with ruthlessly possessive men. The story is dark and potentially triggering, so please read responsibly.

Genre: Dark Romance
Type: Book 2 of 2 from Pageant series
POV: First Person – Multiple
Rating:
4.25 Stars

After a daring escape from the men who held her captive, Lilia Aranova took refuge in a foreign country. Just when things started to feel normal, her life upended all over again.

I loved Lilia in book 1. This time I was a little annoyed by her pushy and demanding behavior. Of course, Kirill stayed on as my favorite character. I loved learning about his and Konstantin's background.

I always wanted a woman who would look good covered in blood.

The lack of sexy scenes in the previous book was made up twice over in this one. I loved the dynamics between the characters and would be really happy if, in the future, the author explored more on Kirill and Elyah's "prison period." Overall I enjoyed this book even though the ending was too much for my preference.

Crowned is the conclusion of Pageant duet. The series would appeal to readers of dark reverse harem romance.

Now THIS is how a dark romance should be👏🏽 I really liked how we got insight into Konstantin and Kirill's past in this book - made me love them that much more. Lilia was a strong character and I loved seeing all her men soften and all of them getting their HEA tg🥰 Even though this was my third time reading these books, I was HOOKED. Can't remember the last time I was so desperate to keep reading a book lol. This duet is def in my top 5 dark/RH romance books!

safety squad:
- no OW/OM drama
- no cheating
- accidental pregnancy
- breeding kink
- reverse harem
- dark romance
- no manwhores, no virgins (heroes + heroine haven't been with OP after meeting each other)
- gore, violence, attempted murder, loss of a baby, suicide, incest, betrayal, domestic violence, mentions of a miscarriage, etc so don't forget to check the TWs!
- HEA (with marriage and babies)

Crowned begins following the epic cliffhanger from Pageant. Lilia, a Russian mafia widow turned runway model, escaped from the pageant in Lake Como, Italy.

Landing in the US five weeks after she jumped off the cliff, Konstantin, Kirill, and Elyah are determined to hunt her down along with the 14 pink diamonds she stole from the Pakhan of the London Vanavora Bratva.

As they scour the globe, we are taken on an action-packed and explosive ride with twists, turns, betrayal, and scenes hot enough to melt your Kindle.

Elyah had me swooning nearly every time he opened his mouth. While finally exploring the tragic pasts of Konstantin and Kirill was heartbreaking and illuminated their behavior in a way I wasn’t sure we’d see.

With all the puzzle pieces coming together, I was absorbed with the story, unable to turn the pages of Crowned fast enough. There is a captivating plot, smut for days, and a hard-won happily ever after. What more could a girl want?! Kudos on an excellent duet, Lilith!

The end its so sad to see this one end I had so much fun reading this and watching the story.

Our girl Lilia is a sneaky sneaky girl I love how she still wanted revenge with the diamonds but now she had more reason to sale them. But it seems like drama with her father who tracked her down and wants her back to sell her again into a marragie but Lilia has a plan little did she know her 3 mad Russians found her. They still don't know about the little secert Lil is hiding she's letting them think they won but she's buying her time before she escapes and runs again.

Months go by she's prego and trying to lay low but some people from the past come back and also her men. All three men are shocked and in awe that there woman is prego they "fight" against one another on who the baby daddy lol but it's all in good fun since they don't care who's the daddy. But they have their hands full with Lilia showing her they want her and would do anything to protect her and there baby.

Up and downs with them and spicy scenes lordddd the spicy between them all.. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Lilith knows how to write group scenes hehehe.

This was the perfect ending to this book.

Was this duet OTT, completely unbelievable, littered with so many triggers and morally bankrupt men? Yep

Did I devour both books in as many days? Yep

This duet is definitely not something you should read if you have any triggers, there is a long list and the men in this story, especially book 1 are pretty irredeemable, in fact early on I was about to abort mission after a particularly brutal scene but apparently I'm a sucker for asshole heroes and I couldn't stop reading because I had to know how the heroine was going to tame these men because when I say these men are bad I'm not joking at all.

Book 2 was definitely a less dark read and at times was so sweet but I loved that too.

There's something about seeing violent men made (kinda) good because of their love for a powerful and strong woman. I really enjoyed all of their character growth.

Lilia was amazing, she is not who I was expecting and I loved watching her bring these men to their knees.

If you're in the mood for a book that will make you question if you're actually ok in the head then this book is for you.

This one was definitely a rollercoaster, packed with emotions and even more character development. I absolutely loved how down bad the men are for Lilia. She could literally kill them, and they’d still be absolutely grateful for it. They’re obsessed, possessive, and completely devoted to Lilia—and I ATE that up.😛🤭

I also appreciated that we got a glimpse into the MMCs’ pasts, which helped me understand why they were so cruel in the first book. I’m glad Kirill, Konstantin, and Elyah redeemed themselves because Lilia deserves the world.🥹

Safety info:

- Elyah’s past: There isn’t much about his past, but it was mentioned that when Elyah worked for Ivan, he and the guards would go to a strip club, but Elyah never spared another woman a glance because he was in love with Lilia.

- Konstatin’s past: Konstantin was betrayed 2 years ago by his ex-fiancée, Valerya. Although he felt nothing for her and saw their engagement as a matter of convenience and power, Valerya had been hired to kill him. She drugged him and even shot him in the head, but he survived. It was later revealed that she had been spying on him and was hired by Konstantin’s brother, who despised him.

- Kirill’s past: At 16, Kirill stalked the girls who bullied him, finding power in it without ever touching them. One day, he found his brother’s ex, Katya, pregnant and abandoned. They became friends, and Kirill wanted to marry her for stability and protection, seeing her as a sister, while also longing for the baby’s love. However, Katya’s parents blamed Kirill for the pregnancy. When Katya went into labor, her parents locked her in her room to give birth alone. The baby died, and Katya later took her own life. In the end, Kirill ended up in prison for burning down Katya's house in revenge.

- There is no OWD or OMD.
- No scenes with others.
- No others after meeting.
- No cheating.
- It ends with a HEA and an epilogue years later with children.

loved to see Lilia's character degression 😍😍 it would be amazing to stop romanticizing r*pe in books too 🥰

dear authors: you can write a dark romance book without depicting rape in disgusting graphic detail perpetrated by the romantic interests. giving them sob backstories doesn’t justify anything they've ever done. i do not care

Continuing without interruption from book one, Lilia Aranova proved she should not be underestimated. However, circumstances quickly change and she finds herself back in the hands of Elyah, Kirill and Konstantin. Together, they come together in different ways.

“All I’m thinking about is how delicious and heavy Konstantin feels in my mouth and how good the stretch is of both Elyah and Kirill filling my pussy.”

Narrated in multiple POV, the men are in a position where they are willing to prove themselves, yet Lilia craves independence. As this dance ensues, emotions and passion run high. With each man having a different connection with Lilia, there are some much awaited combustible moments. Of course, my mind went to possibilities between Kirill and Elyah. With sequences from the past, truths are revealed and this strengthens the plot.

Crowned is about trusting someone. This book would appeal to those seeking a steamy reverse harem romance.

3.5 STARS

I LOVED Pageant, like it was a top read of 2022 for me, and I was really loving this one until I wasn’t. This one ultimately fell flat at the 80ish percent mark.

What I loved:
1. I still really love these men, but I will say that they began to read like sappy infatuated men vs. the anti-heroes we met in book one. It felt like a complete 180 by the end of book 2.
2. Lilia was still a strong heroine, and I enjoyed seeing her grapple with coming to terms with loving all 3 men.
3. The storyline at the beginning of the book, like the first 75% was so good.
4. The steam is immaculate. Lilith Vincent can write some amazing group and individual scenes. The chemistry is always on point.

What I didn’t love:
1. I hate dropped threads, and I really felt like this book had a major dropped thread. Sadly, I can’t really discuss it without spoiling it, but the only true conflict in this book was only partially dealt with. I kept expecting it to come back, to be a threat, something to give the story some life and it just was never brought back up again. I was so disappointed when I realized that this was the rest of the story and this part wasn’t ever going to come back into play.
2. The complete lack of Bratva activities after they are home. It was just over and they were happy and there was so much story left. It was basically an HEA for 30%.

I really wanted Crowned to knock me off me feet. And while I loved these characters and still wanted to see them with an HEA, the ending of the book just fell flat for me.

"How about a game of Russian roulette?
We don't need the gun this time.
We don't even need the roulette. Just the Russian."

Lilia is on the run for once again...
We witnessed her epic escape in the ending of the first book and now, we are wondering what will happen next...
Yes, Lilia is on the run and she's never stop looking behind her back and wishing to not see the three bad Russian mobsters whom she had stolen from their precious gems!!!
Fine months have passed and when Lilia is starting to settle down into a foreign country, her three nightmares are coming back and her life is getting even more complicated than before, cause Lilia is keeping a secret!!! And these three want to claim her as their own!!!

"What sort of crazy person would fall into any of your arms after the things you've done?"

Honestly, I don't know what to say to you about this story!!!
From the very first moment, I was intrigued by this twisted pageant and now, we are about to face the aftermath!!!
Lilia is a woman with big balls, and even though she is lusting over these men, she is determined to outsmart them in every chance she is getting...
Konstantin wants his diamonds back and to make Lilia pay...
Elyah never stopped loving her and he wants her back...
And Kirill is between killing her and fucking her...
Their common ground is that Lilia is making them hard in every possible way...
And when they are finding out what she really took away from them, they are determined to never let her go....

"I love you," Elyah murmurs, stroking my cheek. "I will not speak for the others, but Konstantin needs you. Kirill is obsessed with you."
Love. Need. Obsession.
The cornerstones of any sane relationship.

This was a twisted and very dark reverse harem...
Their pasts are coming back to hunt them, but the bond that these four are sharing is too big to be ignored!!!
Yep, their beginning was ugly and bloody, but they might have a chance to love and life together...
I love Lilia and their guys, even though I had a weakness toward Konstantin from the very first moment... and even though I am not very fond of these type of complicated relationships, in here, it was working very good between them!!!
If you are fan of dark, mafia, reverse harem romances, don't hesitate to dive into this story!!! It's worth it!!!

"All you have to do to be happy... is stop fighting me."
"And why would I do that?"
"Because the three of us would burn the world down to make you ours."

This was really good. I liked it better than the first part. The story was entertaining and I loved reading the backstories of Kirill and Konstantin.

The ending felt a little underwhelming, but the epilogue was so cute that I was satisfied after finishing the book.💗

“No woman could compare to Lilia Aranova, and one kiss from her was worth a thousand deaths.”

A woman like Lilia doesn’t just happen by chance. She is made, forged in brutality and pain

This book completely blew me away!!! The plot is really so good.

At the end of the last book, Lilia had jumped off the cliff with the pink diamonds. She has reinvented herself while trying to stay hidden. She did a good job, until someone showed up in her apartment.

Konstantin, Elyah, and, Kirill spends several months searching for her. The guys still haven’t come to terms with their feelings for her. Konstantin is insisting that he hates her and will destroy her for stealing his diamonds. Kirill still wants to play, realizing he’s obsessed with her but refusing to believe it’s love. Elyah, well he’s back to loving her again.
What do you want me to do, reach into my chest, rip out my bleeding heart and show it to you? If that is what it takes, I will do it.

Lilia and the boys keep repeating their game of chase. She continues to amaze them (and me) with her ability to survive at all costs. She does a pretty amazing job of keeping herself safe. She still fights her feelings for them. She knows she’s sexually attracted to them, but she refuses to allow herself to love, trust, or believe them. She can’t wrap her head around the fact that someone who is unremorseful for what they’ve done can also love her and/or be loving. She won’t forgive them.
It doesn’t matter how good his kisses feel. It doesn’t matter what my body wants. I can’t allow myself to love him after everything he’s done.

Personally, I got tired of her running. If she’s running, then they can’t be having sex. There isn’t as much sex as I would have liked; however, the story is really powerful and it totally makes sense to do things her way. My way I wouldn’t give a damn what they did or who they killed, I’d just be riding that D. Does that make me crazy? All signs point to YES! All of that said – the sex they do have IS SO HOT. We eventually get to a point where all 4 of them participate at the same time. There’s one point that I didn’t believe it was possible to happen, but then when I really thought about it, I realized it is technically possible. You’ll figure it out when you get there.
They feel my need for them through my skin, and they can’t stop bathing me with their adoration as they stroke my flesh, grip my body, hold tight to my hair

I can’t really say anything else that happens in detail because it will be giving everything away. I did have one other complaint, and that was I know this is a series that I will read multiple times. It’s that good.

Crowned ⭐️⭐️⭐️.7
So I still quite enjoyed this. Lilia is a bad ass and I love her. She continued to do amazing things and surprise me in all the best ways and I loved reading about her. She’s one of my fav dark romance girlies. Top 3 for sure. Everything she did to protect the women around her and her baby and herself was awesome. Alright I did have issues with this. For one I didn’t like how all the men were all of a sudden devoted to her because of her pregnancy. That made me mad. Elyah was really the only one that groveled over her which is why he is my fav obviously and I feel like I didn’t really get to see these men be in love with her. I needed more from the men. I needed groveling, worship, obsession, etc. We got it in moments but not nearly enough. I will say one of the smut scenes in here was so hot. Like omgod. There were a couple really good ones. And progressively this book continued to show the men’s love more for the children than her. And most of what was shown to her was sexual desire. Elyah showed her more than that and kostya in respect in certain ways but yeah. I was bummed by that. But I love my girl Lilia. And love that she escaped them again and provided for herself. I wish they would’ve gone more feral over her and I wish they would’ve regretted hurting her way more than they did but I did still enjoy this. I just needed more from them!!!!!!!!!!! And I wanted it more not involving the babies. I will say I love how attracted to her they were when she was pregnant

Last installment of the Pageant Duet, Crowned picks up when it ended, on that maddening cliffhanger.
From, now on, starts a tale of broken trust, love, and redemption.
"Lilia will slip through your fingers like sand, and you will be left with nothing."
Fast paced, the bumpy and twisted storyline kept me enthralled, Mrs Vicent playing with my nerves in a way I absolutely enjoyed.

She brilliantly brought emotions put of her characters, without losing sight if their dangerous world. This conclusion is far from reaching the darkness of the first opus, but I liked reading Lilia's feistiness.
If you're in the mood for a ultra sexy read with dark elements and fun parts, this book is for you!

Even better. The first book was about getting to know Lilia, her past and her surprising skills. I loved how she made the psychopath laugh. And we get a glimpse of Elyha as well to see their past connection.

This second book is getting to know the guys better so we could understand why she falls in love with them. They had to redeem themselves and Lilia didn’t just roll over for them. It did show that it wasn’t all roses and that Lilias own insecurities come back into play as she tries to make a run for it with the baby but they knew they needed to help give her support and closure. We see 10 again!

And we get a long epilogue that if anything might have been a bit long. I know, I know, but it felt almost too much happiness and with the Grandmother there at the end? I couldn’t believe the love and devotion out of these horrible men, so that felt out of place.

But - it was a great conclusion and I really liked the banter between the guys about Lilia. Once again, she makes the psychopath laugh.

★3/5! “My heart is lodged in my throat. I’ve never seen anything more beautiful in my life.
Lilia squeezes her eyes shut. “Don’t look at me like that, please.”
“I’ll look at you how I choose. You’re my everything.” - Koysta

Started off so strong Lilia is one of the best FMCs i’ve read about, she knows what she wants and she won’t stop manipulating until she gets it! I still hate the men, the three stars are all for Lilia again. Elyah did start to grow one me, i think he really did love her in his own way but i can’t forget what they done in the first book.

“What if I plunge a knife into your heart?”
“I would say thank you for the gift of this precious knife, solnyshko. And then I would die happy in your arms.” - Elyah

I’m excited to read more of Liliths work, I love her writing style just the way you’re never bored

its five stars for me! we get to know more about the men backstory and the relationship dynamics with their gal. they really fall head over heels BAD for her. the way they are obsessed. they would die for her, do anything for her, they even didn’t gaf if she kill them all.
”What if I plunge a knife into your heart?”
“I would say thank you for the gift of this precious knife, solnyshko. And then I would die happy in your arms.”

i like elyah’s character more in this second book, he really acknowledge his mistake and he’s such a softie. kirill this crazy mf with his smart mouth and him always teasing elyah is so funny, elyah is too patient to not beat his ass just once. and konstantine is sooo 😩 he finally give in, showing his softer side and he always said the right thing ugh.

”I am at your feet, malyshka, and I always will be.”

them fighting over whose baby is it is so cute! i actually wouldn’t be mad if there were 200+ more pages in this book, reading them just being a family is so fun.

a dark, reverse harem, mafia romance with a bad ass heroine and anti heroes who are obsessed with the said heroine. Crowned is the second book in the duet and it was a pretty good book. this was my first time reading Lilith Vincent and i was very satisfied with how the book worked out..

the pacing of the story was well maintained and you get to understand each characters and their underlying motivations, flaws and insecurities. the writing itself was smooth flowing, with not too flowery words and pretty direct in it's approach. just the way i like it.

in a reverse harem book, there is a huge possibility of the characters not having any depth and just remain for the smut. but i shed tears for this book, laughed, and found myself invested in this world.

tropes in this book:

•reverse harem
•mafia
•dark romance
•anti heroes
•badass female lead

I loved the first half of this book just as much as I loved Pageant. It was fast paced and there was intrigue and angst. Having all of the different relationships between characters fleshed out and unraveling everyone's backstories was done so SO well. The only reason this isn't a 5 star is because I felt like the back half of the book was an extended happy ending. There were threats in the first half of the book that could have been utilized in a way that made the ending feel more high stakes but it fell short for me there.

Overall this duet is a definite ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me!

omg this book is so filthy in comparison to the first, i was actually sat reading it earlier today at my nan and grandads house in their presence when suddenly lilia and her 3 men had a full blown foursome lmaooooo i nearly gasped! anyway i did love this book, sometimes a bit filthy for me at times but loved getting to know each of the mens characters more and why they are so twisted, i went from despising all 3 of them in the first book to loving them all in the second book!

What a wild ride this book was!

This book was the stunning and epic conclusion to the duet and I couldn’t ask for anything more. Actually yes I can. Can I ask for more Elyah ? Because that man is literal perfection. Hardened, slightly broken but the way he loves? Ohh yeah. That’s definitely swoon-worthy. Have tissues at the ready because I teared up at this. These guys love hard and fast.

Lilia is hiding out. After escaping in book 1. But her guys are hot on her heels. Is she safe? Will she be ok? Because she’s got a secret. We learn more about the guys’ pasts and why they are the way they are. But everything that has been said doesn’t scare Lilia away, it just makes her all the more determined to love them even if their path to love is rocky and filled with tribulations and secrets and deception. Absolutely floored with this amazing book. This author really knows how to develop strong female characters and the deliciously dark and depraved men who fall.
