Royally In Trouble

Rate this book
From USA Today and Amazon Charts bestselling author Meghan Quinn, comes the much anticipated sequel to the bestselling royal romance, ROYALLY NOT READY. Full of sweltering heat, suspense, and mystery, Quinn surprises you with some twists and turns while also delivering a perfect happily ever after.

I have two responsibilities as the new heir to the throne:

1. Get married.
2. Have babies.

Sure, becoming queen one day is part of those new responsibilities, but as long as King Theo is in charge, I don't have to add a coronation to my list.

That's why I find myself in the throes of wedding planning, pre-wedding classes with my broody, over-protective fiancé, and counting down the days until we can finally say I do.

But with every day we grow closer to our wedding, we seem to grow apart.

Our commonalities are tested.
Our faith in each other is questioned.
And our safety is threatened.
The only thing working? The command he has over me in the bedroom.

I keep telling myself, it’ll all work out. We just need to make it to the wedding day. Except, when the day finally comes, everything falls apart.

We might have made it through the last few months together, but now I'm not sure we're going to make it out of this alive.

When I was in high school I occasionally read books but was consumed by other teenage things so I didn't take the time to appreciate a good book on a cloudy day, wrapped up in a blanket on the couch. It wasn't until I received a Kindle for Christmas one year that my world completely flipped upside down. When looking for books I came across the Contemporary Romance genre and was sold and I haven't turned back since.

You can either find my head buried in my Kindle, listening to inspiring heart ripping music or typing away on the computer twisting and turning the lives of my characters while driving my readers crazy with anticipation.

I currently reside in beautiful Colorado Springs where the sun is always shining and there is a trail waiting to be hiked on every corner. I share a lovely and warm home with the love of my life and my five, four-legged children.

“I’ve never loved anything in my life more than you, Lilly. No one compares to you. Never will be.”

This has been in my library since it was released, and I finally decided that it was time to read it. I needed something that would be funny, cute, and a light read. This, however, didn't give me that. I'm usually giggling and laughing out loud with Meghan's books.

Royally In Trouble is the second book and picks up where Royally Not Ready left off and is a grumpy/sunshine, engagement in trouble, royal romance with angst, banter, tension and suspense that had me smiling at times but more so felling sad for them.

Lilly is the next and only heir to the throne of Torkesthrope and is to get married and have children. Her and Keller are already engaged and set to get married.Their relationship is being tested with the short time frame of just four weeks until they are to wed, the pre-wedding classes, and having to obstain from sex. Lilly begins to feel that her and Keller are growing apart the closer they get to the wedding and begins to have doubts if he will be at the altar as Keller doesn't believe he is a good fit for the role of being by her side as the future prince. There's not much more they can take and now a threat to her and Keller's safety has arised, making him more stressed to keep her safe and trying to catch whomever has threatened them before the big day. Will they catch them in time, and will there be a royal wedding?

We see more of the side characters that we had met in book one and were introduced to some new ones. I enjoyed watching the new bonds unfold between them and Lilly. I especially enjoyed seeing more of Runa (Lilly's right-hand lady) she stepped up and did more than is asked of her when Lilly needed it most, and that was my favorite bond to witness.

“I’ll forever and always love you. There’s no changing that, even with your wild, unstoppable mouth.”

“You. You will always and forever come first. Over this country, over this responsibility that rests on my shoulders. You, Keller. You matter more to me than anything.”

Keller and Lilly's chemistry and connection didn't feel like it was there like it was for the previous book until the last 20%. This took me far too long to get into, and I do put some of the blame on my previous book for leaving me with a hangover. It may have kept me from enjoying this more, but I'm not entirely sure. This isn't a typical MQ book making you laugh out loud and having so much fun, and I will still give her other books a try.

Edit~ I was torn if this was a 3 star read for me or not and decided that it's not quite there.

5 Stars I don't think I've ever read a book as quickly as I read Royally in Trouble by Meghan Quinn. She packed SO MUCH action and suspense into this and I could not put it down (even to go to sleep) until I got to the end.

Royally in Trouble is the conclusion of Lilly and Keller's story from Royally Not Ready and picks up right after they get engaged at the end of RNR. As the only heir to the throne of Torskethrope, Princess Lilly has two immediate responsibilities: get married and have babies. She's already engaged to her former private secretary, Keller, and they are in the throes of wedding planning, which is proving harder than expected. With only a month until the royal wedding, they have to take pre-wedding classes and abstain from sex. Lilly feels like they are growing further apart the closer they get to the wedding and she begins to have doubts. She knows that Keller struggles with marrying "above his station" and how his late parents would have felt about him becoming a prince, so she begins to question if he'll actually be there waiting at the altar for her. On top of all of that, there's a threat to her and Keller's safety, which has put Keller even more on edge than before. Can this royal wedding go off without a hitch?

Meghan Quinn did such an amazing job with this book and it was even more than I could've hoped for. I did not see the twists coming and the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The angst and the heartbreak had me wanting to protect Lilly and Keller from the world. I loved that Lilly and Keller finally got their hard-fought HEA.

I have been absolutely BEGGING people to read Royally Not Ready since last year. I feel like it’s never gotten the hype it deserves. And now Meghan Quinn goes and drops this absolute masterpiece? Take my money.

📔 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼: Royally in Trouble by Meghan Quinn, the sequel to her 2022 release, Royally Not Ready.

📚𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲: Grumpy/sunshine, engagement in trouble, royal romance, romantic suspense, all the feels, beautifully broken MMC.

📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: After falling desperately in love, Keller and Lilly are heading to the altar. But wedding preparation and tradition comes with its own set of struggles, especially as a plot unravels aimed at keeping them apart and away from the throne.

🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: I’ll just lay it out there… in my opinion, this is Meghan Quinn’s best work. I thought I loved Royally Not Ready, but with the edition of this next chapter for Keller and Lilly, she legit hit it out of the park.

This book delivered on everything I love about Meghan Quinn. I laughed out loud, I cried more than once, and I am going to have the worst book hangover in literal history. Not to mention I think this might be one of the spiciest books Meghan Quinn has written her.

The plot to this was so well done, too. I don’t want to give away too much, but it would have been easy to write a puff piece that felt like an extended epilogue. But instead, she gave us an epic second chapter to Keller and Lilly’s story, with some turns I didn’t see coming. And it was paced so well I flew through the 500+ pages.

All in all, I’m immediately buying the illustrated hardcover to go on my shelf. And I’m adding this to my top 2023 reads list as well.

📝 𝗔 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲… I could have SWORN I read that this was going to be three books. But I checked the after-book notes and the extended epilogue and not a mention. I’m perfectly satisfied at two, but I’d happily pick up a third. No pressure Meghan! But… do it.

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 4/5 🌶🌶🌶🌶

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: engagement in trouble (like marriage in trouble, but they're not married yet, lol)
Angst: 😱😱😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥

If you're a fan of high angst, reading about characters with relatable problems, and having you're heart ripped out multiple times, this is likely the book for you! If you're looking for a lighthearted, funny Meghan Quinn read, you're not getting it with this one. "Marriage in trouble" is definitely one of my least favorite tropes and "engagement in trouble" definitely evokes the same feelings for me 🙈. This story is well written, had tons of laugh out loud moments, and kept my interest till the end with the surprising twists and turns. But it was also super angsty with too much lack of communication which caused a lot of frustration for me 🤷🏻‍♀️. Lilly and Keller's chemistry is still off the charts and their smexy times, super hot. Lilly is honestly one of my favorite MQ characters, but I just probably would have been content with their HEA being done after book one.

Disappointed. Major spoilers ahead

So....I hated 80% of this book. The 20% I liked didn't justify me giving it any higher than 2 stars, but also some parts were so good I didn't think it deserved the 1 star I wanted to give it.

Lilly was super immature and annoying in book one and I thought there would be more of the same here, which was disappointing. But surprisingly, while she does get all vulgar sometimes, she dialed it down A LOT, which was good. She was still her but finally was beginning to realize she should reign it in in public.
But then we get to Keller. The whole reason he broke Lilly's heart was his insecurities and I thought (so did Lilly) that he'd got over that at the end of book 1, but alas he got WORSE! He was so annoying for most of this. The first half of the book he was closed off to Lilly, bossing her around, keeping things from her, arguing with her etc.
I mean Lilly liked a wedding venue and because he wanted a different one he was like "We are getting married where I chose end of discussion". Like, excuse me? And saying things like (and I quote), "I miss your greedy, warm c*nt," .....that is disgusting not sexy. He also kept pushing aside her feeling, like saying "You're not mad at me....You're just irritate." After she clearly said she was mad. And after being abducted and reunited he STILL didn't tell her truths over petty jealousy!
Which brings me to Lilly. Girl has been seeing this man for a few MONTHS but when he left her at the alter, she gets sooo upset she decides to starvr herself to death?! Come on! Heartbreak is understanding, but to the point that your family has to get IV in you? When someone brings you down, the answer is not to let them make you wither away. Ridiculous and really bad example for women. And when she does reunite with him, she understandably is angry, but even while saying "I hate you" she proceeds to bang him while straddling him?! You dont bang someone you hate or who hurt you like that! Ugh. And then they had the nerve to say their relationship wasn't solely based on sex? It was literally ALL about sex for them!
Keller tried to say her conversions with Evan were "shallow" while theirs were "deep" but he literally wouldn't TALK to her! Deep my butt, all he talked about was how she couldn't resist him sexually and how mad they were.
Yes, when their life was in danger in the last few chapters they got more serious, there was action and real sacrifices and true acts of love but.....the last 5 chapters dont make up for the crap Keller pulled for 50% of the book and how he let miscommunication ruin another 30% of the book. Like, almost ALL the drama they suffered could have been avoided if the man would trust his girl and TALK. Like just tell the truth! So frustrating, and so disappointed. Neither of them communicated well (Keller worse of all), and they weren't understanding to each other because of it, just assuming things smh
Their relationship was really unhealthy honestly. I'm glad they figured it out at the end, but yeah, didn't enjoy the book.
Kind of sad because the back plot of a secret takeover of the country was a really interesting part of the plot. Wish she focused more on that.

A royal wedding. Two soulmates struggling with the pressure of expectations. Conspiracies and dangerous secrets. And one absolutely brilliant romance by Meghan Quinn..again. Royally In Trouble was witty and spicy and heartbreaking and overall, perfection. Keller and Lilly managed to capture my heart all over again. I just devoured this epic story in one sitting.

If you have not already, read Royally Not Ready first. Where once upon a time bikini seller from Miami and now..Her Royal Highness, Princess Lilija aka Lilly of Torskethorpe and the king's advisor Keller Fitzwilliam fell in love when Keller was training her for the royal duties. Now they are getting married. But it's a royal wedding. They have responsibilities and traditions to follow. Will it be too much for Keller? What about the threatening letters? Just how far will Keller go to save Lilly?

I am head over heels love with intense, broody, grumpy, bossy, dominating, controlling, possessive, protective, Uber sexy and dirty talker extraordinare Keller Fitzwilliam already. But this book just cracked my heart wide open for him. Because here we get to see his fears, his insecurities, his vulnerability and damn it, it was heartbreaking. A Man who is so awesome at everything, who is respected and loved by so Many people..and yet, he is afraid of being not enough for Lilly. Wounds of his past is still fresh and with the stress and tension and expectations weighing heavy on his heart, he is at a breaking point. He loves Lilly with everything and here we get to see his utter devotion and desperation for Lilly. She is a firecracker but this is hard for her too. Becoming the future of a country isn't easy. Keller is her rock. Her support. Her everything. And our sweet and sassy girl tried her best to make everything OK. But the conspiracies pulled them apart and destroyed them..but they came back from complete devastation. This story went from hilarious and cute to heartbreaking and angsty to adrenaline fuelled and Suspenseful. And I am completely obsessed with Keller and Lilly. Their love is at an insane level. PS THIS IS EVEN HOTTER THAN THEIR FIRST BOOK. Make sure to Stay hydrated. It was a modern fairytale in every sense. From the magical country to the white knight to the princess who saves everyone to the dreamy wedding at the end..just a lot spicy than your childhood stories.

I can’t put into words how much I love this book. Ever since we were first introduced to Lilly and Keller in Royally Not Ready, I have be addicted to their romance.

Royally in Trouble continues to follow Lilly and Keller as they navigate their personal and professional relationship and go through hardships to get to know one another and themselves.

Lilly is growing accustomed to being a royal and learning more about the history and what it will take to one day be queen. I adored her throughout this entire book. Her character is just so funny and realistic. She’s unapologetically herself. You get to see different sides to Lilly throughout this book, and while it may put you on a roller coaster of emotions, it is so worth it.

Keller is still the brooding, protective, silent type. Even though he still has all those characteristics, you definitely see more to him in this book. In fact, I think this book gave you so much more insight into what he is thinking and why he does things. There are moments I wanted to shake him—okay, a lot of moments—and moments when I just wanted to hug him and shield him from the world.

This book is heavy in a certain way. Not to say it doesn’t have Meghan’s lines of humor and spicy scenes, but she definitely makes you go through emotions in this book. You are going to see these characters go through hell and back and you’re going to see them grow.

This book was so necessary in my opinion. I don’t think Meghan could’ve done it better. Loved every second of this book and I’m going to desperately miss these characters.

Thank you Meghan for the ARC!

3.5 stars!

While this book is a lot more intense than other Meghan Quinn books, it definitely gave another interesting perspective on Lilly and Keller's relationship. We get to see what Lilly and Keller are struggling with, both individually and as a couple. It wasn't a fluffy romance book like I was expecting, but this gave me a better idea of how they work together in their relationship, especially since I felt like their relationship in book 1 was mostly physical and lacked the emotional connection. Honestly, I still felt this way for about the first 40% of the book (about how there wasn't much chemistry) but after some significant events in this book, it became more obvious how much they care for each other. There were definitely some heartbreaking moments and I was rooting for them to resolve everything, but I was very frustrated with the lack of communication towards the end. While I understood why there were misunderstandings, I feel like it would have been much less painful if one of them just started to talk about what had happened, especially considering the circumstances. The ending did feel a bit rushed, but I think this book wrapped up their relationship very nicely. I don't necessarily think a second book was needed for Lilly and Keller's relationship (since it was kind of predictable) but it did give more insight about their feelings/internal struggles. I do, however, wish there were more moments that showed how happy they are and I would have loved to see them work together as a team.

Thank you to Meghan Quinn for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

ARC kindly received for an honest review.

I don't really know where to start with this one. I honestly went into this one blind - all I knew was that you need to have read book 1 in this series in order to read this, and that it was a new Meghan Quinn. I didn't read the synopsis or anything like that. I was surprised to find that this was another book about Lilly and Keller and carries on from after the end of the previous book. Which was weird to me, because I thought that their story was done, and had assumed this was a new standalone within the series about another couple in the Royal world.

I'll be honest - I really didn't need to read this book - it's one of those books where I was like - why did we get this? I think Lilly and Kellers story could have been left how it was. Maybe that's just me, but this one I wasn't overly fussed on. There was a HUGE lack of communication, there was nothing really keeping me too interested in the story until I got around the 70-80% mark. I don't think I connect with Lilly and Keller - I liked some of the secondary characters and the bonds formed there, but this just wasn't really hitting the mark for me. And I hate to say that because normally I love Meghan Quinn books.

I'm quite sure plenty of other readers will love this though, there is quite a lot that happens, it just wasn't for me.

ROYALLY IN TROUBLE is the follow-up book to Royally Not Ready - one of my favorite books from 2022. I was so excited to return to Torskethorpe and discover what Keller and Lilly have been up to since book one. If you haven't read book one in this duet - turn back now or save this and come back later.

Meghan Quinn definitely surprised me with this book! It included her usual comedic relief and many hilarious shenanigans that her characters always find themselves in - but Royally In Trouble was also full of mystery, angst, suspense and drama. I don't want to spoil anything, but there are definitely some heavy themes throughout this book.

Thankfully, Meghan Quinn keeps us smiling while the characters are dealing with the events of Royally In Trouble. I really tried to figure out the mystery before the end, but I definitely had no idea what was coming. LOL. While I liked this book, I took off a star because I needed a longer conflict resolution between Keller and Lilly. I felt like they rushed through some important healing that would be needed after the events.

Thank you to Meghan for the ARC of this book! I received an ARC as a member of Meghan’s Review Crew.

There was intrigue, suspense, wedding planning, abstinence, hot sex, and so much more!

Honestly, if I wasn't already in love with this duet, I would have fallen with this book!

Keller and Lilly are getting married. There's a lot of planning, counselling, meet-and-greets, and tons of tension.
Keller's insecurities are drowning him. Lilly's insecurities leave her doubting the one person she should be sure of.
Both of them are feeling the distance and are unsure of how to cross it.

Throw in a plot to overthrow the crown and this story is set to keep you on your toes.

Did I want to shake some sense into these characters sometimes? Sure.
Did I laugh A LOT during my reading? No doubt.
Did I wish there was more when I got to the end? Absolutey.

Seriously, if you haven't read the bonus ending, get on it. And if you haven't read this duet yet, start at the beginning and join in the fun.

Get ready for a royally emotional and anxiety ridden read. Ain't no joke. You've met Kellen and Lilly (the Hero and Heroine) in Royally Not Ready, and this is the next chapter in their lives, and nothing is easy about it. They are about a month away from their Royal Wedding, but going with the countries tradition, they are pulled part until the wedding, and when they do have time together, it's stress and tension filled putting more strain on the couple. Add in some threats and things are falling apart at the seams. If you are familiar with this author, you probably already know how she likes to tear us readers apart with her stories and this book is no exception. Oh, you know she puts us back together by the end, but still.... be prepared. Have tissues handy. Plenty of smexy times (even if they aren't supposed to be together.) Of course there is humor as well. This is book two, and while book one doesn't end with a cliffhanger or anything, you'll probably want to read it first so have a better understanding of the characters and their past and their relationship, though you can get through this one if you haven't read it. (There is no meet cute in this one as the couple is already in a relationship.) This is simply a great, well written book/story with well written characters. It alternates between POVs. (And not just the two leading characters.) Due to the sexual content, it is intended for mature readers. There are a few serious subject matters that may be triggers for sensitive readers including kidnapping and torture/abuse. Those things play a major role in the story, but aren't overly graphic in nature. There is also a little bit of mental health issues at play, which pulls at your heart strings.

I’m so glad we got to re-visit Keller and Lilly. I love Keller’s alpha ways and Lilly’s sass. While I didn’t really feel like we needed a 2nd book after Royally not Ready I’m glad we got one. Royally in Trouble gives a glimpse into the wedding preparations and how things quickly spiral. Another great story from Meghan Quinn!

This was good by my god was it angsty! Usually I avoid “marriage in trouble” books, especially if they are with characters from an existing series. Once I see the HEA I want things to end there and pretend everything is good forever! That was not the case for Lilly and Keller. Royally in Trouble picked up shortly after the last book left off and things are strained as they go through wedding planning and adjusting to the new life they live.

The book almost felt like two separate stories or parts. Part one leading up to the wedding day, and part 2 after. It was longer than some other romance books because of this, and the angst lasted for a quite a while - as in, I needed a lot of tissues. I did enjoy the story overall, though there were a few things that felt like could have been cut from the story or could have been tied up a little more nicely.

There were some characters in this book that made me wonder if we’d be revisiting this world again with new leads, but we’ll see!

I won’t say much else to avoid spoilers, but I will say that is IS a romance book, so fear not, there’s still an HEA, but read it when you’re emotionally ready! 😜

A steamy, entertaining sequel that sees Lily and Keller's wedding getting postponed due to a kidnapping which forces them to reexamine their feelings and find their way back to one another. This was still good on audio even with a change in narration for Lily's character. If you enjoy royal romances this is definitely not one to miss!

Hi Meghan,

Please see attached therapy bill invoice. Due in 10 business days.
Therapy was attended due to stress, wetness and heartbreak caused by the contents outlined in this book i.e. what you did from 10%-95% (what the actual feck was that for?!)

In future, I do request that you advise me of any potential plot points that may invoke similar feelings, so that I may preemptively book therapeutic appointments post-read. The tears, horniness and the way in which you hit a little too close to home could have been dealt with sooner if I’d had fair warning.

If you are unable to provide payment to my therapist, I do accept payment in form of a bonus chapter of the pegging variety. Or perhaps some bonus scenes in which Keller says “drain me” again, as I was particularly fond of the way the breeding shmink was utilized in this painful novel.

Sincerely in pain,
Celeste

This duet in general is very different from what I'm used to from Meghan. If I'm being honest this book wasn't really needed for Lilly and Keller's story but I still thouroughly enjoyed it. It truly gave what happens after the "Happily Ever After" that we don't normally get with royal romances. I definitely wasn't expecting to be on the edge of my seat/ sobbing throughout this book but there I was panicking with a pile of tissues bundled up in bed. Thankfully this book still included her usual comedic relief which allowed some emotional relief. Overall this book is filled with mystery, suspense, angst, spice and drama.

I really enjoyed Lilly's journey through becoming a royal and learning more about her family and history of her country. Her sass gots me every time but her emotions felt like they were everywhere throughout this book. Keller on the other hand is his same old self grumpy and stubborn with a huge soft spot for Lilly.

I wish the ending gave us readers more time with Lilly and Keller, it did feel a bit rushed but over all I finished it with content and appreciated the wild royal ride Meghan took us on throughout this book.

Thank you Meghan Quinn for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

**Audio Review **
Yes. My. King. Royally in Trouble by Meghan Quinn was an angsty, heartfelt, and steamy romance that continued the story of Lilly and Keller. Meghan brings all her signature witty banter that we loved from Lilly and Keller in Royally Not Ready, but this time she weaves in all the tension and suspense. Their journey to finally reach their HEA is full of emotional twists and unexpected turns that will ultimately leave a worthwhile and satisfying smile on your face.

Samantha Brentmoor and John Hartley narrate this audiobook in duet featuring James Joseph. Samantha is simply stunning in her portrayal of Lilly capturing her spitfire, bubbly, and passionate personality perfectly. Plus, she voices the dialogue of various British female side characters giving them each their own unique tone. (Yes, lady!) John Hartley reprises his role of protective, dominant, and loyal-loving, Keller. John also gives light to Keller’s more vulnerable side in this story, which made my heart squeeze. The sexual tension is everything in this book and both Samantha and John bring the HEAT! James Joseph’s chapters are brief, but his villainous tone out for vengeance will grip your attention.

Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of a royal romance with a hot, dedicated prince-to-be, a fierce sassy future princess, a royal engagement, premarital traditions, marriage classes, threatening letters, suspense, second chances, royal balls, cousin time, island getaways, a pontoon plane flight, secrets revealed, danger, all the steamy times, and a HEA that reveals what truly matters most, then you will love Lilly and Keller’s story. I always look forward to more from Meghan Quinn.

I loved book one, but this one is even better wow! First of all, the spice? So hot. But even hotter? Healthy communication Meghan has these two develop throughout the book, obsessed.

This series is my favorites of Meghan’s, the action, the surprising amount of world building for a contemporary romance novel, the complex characters, I’m obsessed.

Now could we please get a bonus pêggîng epilogue??

There was so much angst and drama and unnecessary conflict but Meghan Quinn essentially wrote a Mission Impossible movie and I was sucked in start to finish.

When I tell you I 𝗦𝗤𝗨𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗗 after seeing this show up in my kindle library - 𝗜𝗠 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗝𝗢𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚! I am a total MQ fan for life! In my opinion she can do no wrong 😅

♡ dual POV
♡ spicy AF 🌶
♡ grumpy x sunshine
♡ royal romance
♡ romantic comedy
♡ twists/turns

We pick up where we left off - Lily is to be crowned Princess and Keller the new crown Prince 🤴  I really enjoyed that we didn't have any kind of time lapse between these two books, they've just seamlessly carried on as if we didn't have to wait an entire year for this book 😅

As always, MQ pulls 𝗡𝗢 punches when it comes to the spice in this book - needless to say I got a little hot and bothered. There's just something about how commanding and alphahole Keller is that I just can't shy away from.  He has the 𝗕𝗜𝗚𝗚𝗘𝗦𝗧 dirty mouth I think I've ever read 🥵

In the preparation for their wedding Keller and Lily are finding out so much more about each other than they thought possible. They're meant to be coming closer together but end up being torn apart. So much so that they start to question whether they're even right for each other - que me screaming in the background 𝙂𝙀𝙏 𝙔𝙊 𝙎𝙃𝙄𝙏 𝙏𝙊𝙂𝙀𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙍!!!

Even though I was prepared for some hurt, it didn't prepare me for the onslaught of emotions I felt reading this book. I was sad, I was angry, I laughed, I cried and then my broken heart ended up back together again.

I don't know how you do it MQ - but you are a genius!!

“You matter more to me than anything.”

Royally in Trouble starts right as Royally Not Ready ends. Keller and Lilly are preparing for a wedding in the future. But as Lilly is heir to the throne this is not your typical wedding.
Keller and Lilly's relationship is tested as they prepare to wed. There are obstacles and things they have to overcome. Things are far from easy. But they really care about each other and that's proven again and again.

“Being in love with someone is not a burden.”

There is a big twist in this story and things are up in the air on what will happen. For me this wasn't the typical Meghan Quinn book. It was heavier with more feelings. I even teared up a little. You definitely need to read Royally Not Ready first for everything to make sense.

I loved Royally In Trouble by Meaghan Quinn!

The storyline is entertaining from start to end, it had humor, suspense, romance and every character added to my overall enjoyment.
I ended up reading late into the night as I couldn't put it down.

Lilly and Keller go through a lot before they can finally live their happily ever after, and for me it proved how much they're meant for each other. True soul mates, I seriously loved them both and I will be reading both books again.

Royally In Trouble is an awesome read and I highly recommend it!
