When Erin finds her missing sister in Savannah after three years of no clues, no sightings, and no hope, she’s devastated when Amelia defends the man who kidnapped her—and then marries him!

To make things even worse, Amelia’s new husband, Holden Grayson, is a wanted international criminal, and his power and influence force Erin and Braden into the Witness Protection Program when he sends a hit team to take them out.

This new assignment takes Erin and Braden undercover with new names, new aliases, and a new location as they hunt down Amelia before she disappears forever.

1. Is their safe house actually safe, or are the break-in and strange footprints from one of Grayson's hit teams?
2. Can they assemble a strike team to the tiny island in the middle of the Caribbean Sea and rescue Amelia?
3. Will Erin and Braden ever get their happily-ever-after after their “wedding” gets ruined by an explosion?

Fly away to the Caribbean Islands for romance, adventure, and intrigue with Agent Erin Steele and CIA Specialist, Braden Moretti, as they search for Amelia and the man who stole her away even though there's a chance they may never make it home alive. . .

Kimberley Montpetit once spent all her souvenir money at the La Patisserie shops when she was in Paris—on the arm of her adorable husband. The author grew up in San Francisco, another swoon-worthy city, loves all things Parisian and chocolate and lives in a small town along the Rio Grande with her family.

Kimberley has won many awards for her work, including the Southwest Book Award, the Whitney Award, the Arizona/New Mexico Book Award, is a Crystal Kite Finalist (SCBWI) and included in the Bank Street College Best Books of the Year.

She once stayed in a haunted castle tower room at Borthwick Castle in Scotland, sailed on the Seine in Paris, walked the beaches of Normandy, eaten in numerous French cafes, ridden a camel in Petra, Jordan, sunbathed on Waikiki, shopped the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, and spent the night in an old Communist hotel in Bulgaria.

She adores all baked goodies; brownies, éclairs, donuts, tarts, and pie, and makes a lot of chocolate chip cookies while revising.

Kimberley is, of course, hard at work on her next novel(s).

This story was a fun fast read. It is part of a series with a continuing story-line so to really enjoy and understand the story, it's best to read them in order. The story does not leave you hanging but the case they were working has not really been concluded as the man they are after manages to escape again.

Erin and Braden have been working together on cases dealing with an international criminal Holden Grayson. She is in the FBI and he is works for the CIA. On one of the cases Erin discovered that her missing sister Amelia was married to Holden. She has never told her family that she discovered her sister was still alive.

At the conclusion of the last story- Holden has a contract put out for the death of Erin and Braden. This forces the two of them to go into the Witness Protection Program changing their names and their appearances. Erin just wants to make sure that they are able to stay together. Braden wants to marry her before they get transported to their new location but the wedding ceremony is interrupted by a threat before their final vows concluded.

Traveling separately they finally end up on the same Caribbean Island and discover that Holden and Amelia are hiding on a nearby isolated island. Will they be able to apprehend them before they disappear again?
Will Erin and Braden ever be able to finish their vows and get their identities back?

I received a copy of this story from the author and this is my honest unbiased review.

Her CIA Operative Fake Husband is a wild roller coaster ride! Erin and Braden are running; bullets and bombs are flying in this very exciting, suspenseful search for Erin's sister and her "most wanted" husband. This book had me in its clutches from the start. It was 5 am when I finished reading! (I knew better than to start it so late!) CAn be read as a stand alone but infinitely better if you have read the first two books.

I liked the intrigue in this story. I usually read romance books but in this case I was more interested in the intrigue than the romance. I was hoping that all would be resolved with the sister but see now that she gets her own book so we'll get to hear 'the rest of the story' from her perspective. Yay! That is a good thing since I really don't get her at all. And yay that Erin and Braden finally make it to the alter. Twice.

I listened to the audiobook and thought the narrator did a good job. The narration enhanced the story.

Sex: no
Language: no
Violence: perilous situations
*I received a complimentary audiobook from the author and voluntarily chose to review it.

Worth the wait! This is an awesome romantic suspense book full of danger. FBI Erin Steele and CIA Operative Braden Moretti have teamed up again but will their marriage ever really happen? This op sends them after Erin's brother in law, a notorious billionaire criminal. Erin wants to rescue her sister, Amelia, even though Amelia vows she was not kidnapped.

After not being able to download this book through my regular ebook provider, the author came to my rescue. I appreciate her willingness to help her readers. The series as a whole has been one I have thoroughly enjoyed reading.

Another beautiful setting brought to life by Mrs. Montpetit's luscious descriptions. (I had never really heard of Martinique before this book, but it's now on my list of places I'd love to go someday.) I loved seeing Erin & Braden FINALLY get their happily ever after, though Amelia's reaction to seeing her sister again was heartbreaking. I can't wait to see how Mrs. Montpetit wraps everything up in the final installment.

Sweet romantic suspense

Romance, sweet, contemporary, suspense; series, but can be read as a stand alone.
Erin and Braeden's story continued, as they try to follow up on a case with new identities. Of all the novels in this series this had the best flow. Hey had great chemistry, some sweet moments even as they tried to find Amelia again.

We have a sweet romance and suspense. Erin's been trying to find her sister. But what will happen when she finally does. Erin and Braden are working on together to find Erin's sister? Will they find her? Will they come out alive with the death threat? The reading of the story was good and I'm glad I listen to it.

This is an exciting action packed book! I enjoyed it from beginning to end. There were a few things that made me wonder if it was even possible, but it was definitely an interesting story.

Erin & Braden need some downtime but first, they are needed to solve a case & they must go undercover. Will they be able to actually get married when the fake one is interrupted? You want to read this one to find that answer & other questions.

I didn't like the narration. Everytime I heard the same Erin, for some reason I kept hearing Aaron and confusing myself. it was fine, cute short mystery.
however, this is the book title , but not the book description.
