The Gym
Gym bros pumping iron on the floor … and something else in the locker room shower.
Chase is a hell of a guy. We met as interns and have kept in touch through the years. I started seeing him more often after he turned me onto the wonders of 24-hour gyms. Having a place to work out whenever I wanted really helped with my physical and, let’s be honest, mental health. Chase seemed to be on the same crazy time-crunched schedule as I was, so we started carpooling. Plus, it’s great having someone to talk to while working out in an abandoned gym in the middle of the night. If you’re serious about keeping fit, you need a gym bro to spot you, push you, and compare your body and progress against.
I have a demanding job and a more demanding family. With my current living situation, any kind of personal time is impossible. The little time I do have is sacred to me. And that includes all types of personal time. I’m a man and have needs. One of those needs is giving a certain part of my body a workout of its own in the gym shower. Gotta take it where I can get it.
I was taking too long in the shower, even for me, when Chase popped his head in to see what was up. It was right at the last second, and he watched my strong finish. When I say I finished strong, it was like winning gold at the Olympics – one of the best in recent memory. Maybe it was because I knew he liked what he saw, or just the fact that he saw me at all. The idea of being watched has always been appealing. The car ride home is going to be awkward as hell. Especially considering the look he gave me before disappearing. I wonder if he wants a repeat performance? Is it weird that I kinda hope he does?

That cover! The story inside is hot, too. The author avoids PWP by writing characters with some depth and good interior thoughts in a single POV story.
The writing showcases the vulnerabilities even in a hookup relationship. I liked the two men and the honesty between them about what they were doing.

Another winner by Grayson. This turned out to be a really sweet story about a guy who needs to find a way to put himself first in his life, and his bi buddy who helps him to do so. As always, the author finds a way to mix eroticism with sentiment in a seamless tapestry of emotion, lust, and budding love.

A surprising higher quality erotica, yes there is insane hot spice but also incredible world building and soulful depth to characters. Usually you get lengthy high tension buildup to explosive sex and the end. Here you get a lot more after, it’s so fucking satisfying and highly impressive in such short novellas. Really remarkable writing skills shown here.
MC1 was dealt a really crappy family life, struggles with anxiety and to some degree depression as well but he is such a good guy deep inside. MC2 was a great match for him, exactly what he needed, calling out the bs, offering support, friendship and something more.
A bit overuse of bros, exclamations and some sex talk was slightly cringy but maybe it’s just me. Other than that, it was a pretty darn good short smutty and rather heartfelt story.

“It wasn’t so much dirty breeding as it was a union of two lovers.

Great short story
I liked the dynamics between Nate and Chase. Nate’s slow realization of his feelings seemed wee-developed. I think I would have liked to see more to the story. I think the author could have shown a little more of the friendship aspect at the beginning, and the home and work life for each character could have been more developed for a longer story. I wouldn’t have minded seeing Chase’s point of view either. There were a few minor typos, but they were not pervasive. I would happily read more from this author and this series.

This was disappointing. There was zero plot. Just two gym rats having sex in the shower or sauna late at night at a 24 hour gym after working out. The ending really snuck up on me. I was at 86% on my Kindle and that was the end. Very unsatisfying. It’s my least favorite of this series thus far. I wasn’t convinced the relationship was anything more than two horny guys finding some relief.

Second time was a charm!
This was my 2x reading this book and I’m glad I read it again. Loved it! The relationship developed exactly the way most relationships do. The details and the development of the characters and their relationship was heartwarming and the intimate details leave nothing to the imagination, those details were steamy and well written. Another great book/story from Heath!!!

Wholesome sexy fun
Low-angst and sexy good times. The characters are surprisingly developed being that this book is so short. A bit of a gay freakout but nothing over the top. No drama with mature adult communication. This is my fave book in the series so far. The dialogue during sex is still a little cringe, but not as bad as the other books.
I would have loved more of these two, even if just an epilogue.

Another solid novella from Grayson. It manages to be filthy hot while still containing a surprisingly nuanced tale of two bros realizing that they have feelings for each other. For this very specific type of short, smoking hot, and oddly but utterly romantic story, Grayson is becoming my gold standard.
