Wow, can’t stop reading need to go on to the next book. Things are heating up and around Redemption. Everything going on at the same time. Both good and bad.

There is a lot of action in this book with the occupants in Redemption trying to survive, sustaining another attack from O.N.E., threats of marauders and Watchtower's plans. There is also a lot of character growth from most of the major characters; I really have come to like the kids Dakota, Hunter and Maggie. They are all very solid and contribute to the efforts in Redemption. Bucky is still one of the most interesting ones as he navigates from having benefited from his family and father's grip on the area to understanding a better and more ethical path may be preferable. There are a very few editing errors (delt instead of dealt, Derrek instead of Derrik), but nothing really distracting. This was a very good book in this series and I look forward to the next.

Critical Failure - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

The appropriately-named town of Redemption is the central location of Critical Failure, Book 4 of Mike Kraus and Tara Ellis's post-Apocalyptic survival thriller series, After the Crash.
Survivors and locals must unite against the desperate Watchtower cultists and other marauders, who would steal from their better-prepared neighbours' supplies.
Meanwhile, the O.N.E worm has inviegled its way into tech systems everywhere, causing death, destruction and mass panic.
How will things develop? Who survives?

Realistic

I find this series gripping. There are such a diversity of characters and watching them carve out life in an impossible situation is encouraging. Well, it’s encouraging when the characters are the ones with good, teachable hearts. CRITICAL FAILURE is not out to sugarcoat or sensationalize life after the crash, but to give a sweeping overview of people’s responses in a very realistic manner. I can’t wait for the next book!

Really Great Series

So well written. Such a novel take on the apocalypse. You really can not put it down! I've blown through four books. Characters are diverse and believable. Emphasis on children, as well. Suspense grows throughout series. You care about the characters and the community. Some questions answered, while others remain. The only Con? Having to wait until October to read next book!

Engaging story line

Great, relatable characters with realistic situations that one would expect in a SHTF scenario. Interesting good versus evil story has you rooting for the good guys! Great cliffhanger at the end.

Once again these two authors have come together to give you a book worthy of binge reading. Danger, suspense and more plague the survivors. How will this all end. Fast paced, awesome characters.

A Good Story

The tension ramps up as the time to find a solution to the disaster starts to run out. This tale has been slow going but seems to have hit its stride now.

This series went downhill after the 2nd book.......I began the 5th book and closed it, life is too short for boring stories. If a story can't reach a conclusion by the 5th book and their only in the 10th day of a disaster then you're just pulling the readers chain.

Critical Failure

I only had to read the first page to realise I had already read it. I am getting tired of reading post Apocalypse books anyway.
