What a sad yet beautiful debut from K. Vincent . This is a book of dark poetry. I really felt it was more reading, small excerpts from her life in the form of poetry.

This book of poems will forever be engraved into my heart! So much beauty and talent was fed into these writings, I felt every single word as if I was writing it myself. I loved with her, I hated with her, I cried with her and I smiled with her. She is a very, very brave person just to be able to put her thoughts on to paper. Some people go their entire lives bottling these emotions up, and their lives are miserable carrying it around on their shoulders. I know this book will reach out and touch A LOT of people, myself included!! And, for many, it might just talk them off that ledge they’ve been leaning off of. I know what some of y’all are thinking .. “Eh poetry isn’t really my thing”. It’s not mine either, but trust me, you will not even realize you’re reading poetry because it reads just like a regular short story. So, don’t let that mindset guide you away. Amazing talent from such a beautiful person!! Keep on keeping on my friend, touching lives, one story at a time!!

Its hard for me to put into words just how amazing Within Her Thoughts is.
Its a book of raw emotion and such depth that at times I almost felt swept away, and the emotions that she had no doubt invested in her poems grew within me. I have always envied poets in their ability to craft such magic in such a relatively small amount of words compared to that which an author has to work with, and in the case of K. Vincent that envy is magnified a thousand times.
This is a poet who can reach out from the page, squeeze your heart in her hand and break you, yet also be there, comforting you back down with soft, almost magical words.
This book belongs on every book shelf.

I very rarely read poetry because to me it's like song lyrics; I have no idea what's being said half the time! However, when K. Vincent published her first collection, and knowing she put so much into it, I had to grab a copy.
And so glad I did! Each one is personal, it's obvious each poem was carefully thought through beforehand and I was amazed by her ability to put thoughts onto paper. So if poetry is your thing, available on Amazon and KU. Grab a copy!

Haunting and beautifully written. The author has a wonderful way of putting words on a page and making them sing.
This is my second time reading dark poetry, so I'm by no means an expert on the subject, but K. Vincent layers each entry with raw emotion and heartfelt bite. Everyone who picks up this book will find at least one poem that speaks to them on a personal level.

I had the pleasure of working with the author on an anthology that we put out earlier in the year and it was a wonderful experience. Her poem was a fantastic addition to the collection that we put out.

I thoroughly recommend this talented writer.

This collection of poetry is sometimes heartbreaking, other times it is tormenting, but it is a real and vulnerable look at a woman affected by life's storms. As a father and husband, it impacted me to keep striving to be better. As a son whose dad abandoned him, I could feel every bitter, hateful and longing emotion. This is not a simple book of poems, the words on these pages touch the soul. For a debut, it was hauntingly beautiful and I see a ton of potential in this blossoming poet.

First off, let me say this, while I have nothing against poetry, it’s just never been my thing. Well, that has changed. This book of poetry is going to stay with me for a long time. These poems of pain, longing, suffering, and self-reflection hit me hard. I read this in one sitting and will definitely read the next one. She bares her soul and you feel it in yours. Beautifully done.

Heartfelt and Relatable

This is an incredibly heart-wrenching book of poetry. Each poem is filled with raw emotion and lays bare the heart and soul of its writer. It reads like a journal, portraying a woman shattered by pain yet redeemed by love. Anyone who has ever felt abandoned or has had love unrequited will find themselves in her words and realize they are not alone in their grief.

After finishing this amazing collection of poems, I really had to stop and think a minute before I made a review.
The way the author literally pours her heart into her work, seriously put me at a loss for words. The fact that so much tragedy and heartbreak, can create such a good person, really is a testament to the human soul. I cannot wait to read more of K. Vincent's work!

Heartbreaking and honest

Some of these poems were difficult to read because they triggered my depression and some of them tugged at my heart. But they are all raw, emotional and brutally honest. The last poem gives a sense of hope for the writer’s future. Good book!
