There is much to like about this book. It is comprehensive, well referenced and raises some good points about the nature of civil society/societies. Most of the time, it is really well written, but just occasionally, the language slips into generalities or gets lost in arcane detail. Maybe that's the result of having two authors. But a great introduction to the topic. I would love to see an update!
