Stephanie Randolph is 21-years-old and has been adulting for a few years now. There is also a lot she hasn’t done yet in life. Although, she has done that one significant thing…
Both of these young women are close friends, and both are busy taking demanding courses at San Diego State University. When Stephanie “rescues” Jenna from a hilarious night of poor judgement, it starts them on a course in which they will both become even closer. “Never Has She Ever” is the latest entry in Sabrina Kane’s popular Carlsbad Village Lesbian Romance Series! It follows the romantic journey of two more young Carlsbad women, one of whom is about to discover for the first time just how delightful staying home can be.
Filled with the trademark Sabrina Kane humor and lots of steamy and sexy scenes, this lesbian romance will delight you with fun characters, zero-angst, and a guaranteed HEA.
The 10th book in the series and it definitely did not disappoint 🤩. I was so looking forward to starting this, I’d already re read the rest of the series to prepare (which still gave me the same feels as the first time) The best, feel good sexy romance series ever IMO
First! This beautiful story is on my TBR shelves! Why???? I should have read it earlier! As with all the Carlsbad Village books, the steam is plentiful! I love Jenna and Stephanie! So HOT! 5 stars!
**Sadly, some startling revelations came out today about the author that I can’t support. please read more about it and make up your own opinion about maybe reading the book. ** https://jae-fiction.com/another-catfi...
I’ve been following this series of Sabrina Kane but I just started reading F/F a few months ago so I’m late and behind.
This story follows the youngest members (so far) of the series and I was aware that it wouldn’t be easy considering that all previous stories were of women between their late twenties/mid thirties.
To sell a “forever together” in this book (as the previous books) was going to be more complicated because of main characters ages, they are 18 and 21 so in order to give us a “happily ever after” we were given a “14 years old later epilogue”, for me that was new but yet again, I’ve only read a couple of books in this series. If so, I would like to know what Becca and Krissy are doing, Charlotte, Grace, Rachael and Ainsley.. Just saying, lol!
The MCs mentioned, several times, that they considered that all they were doing was getting laid and were worried that they barely did anything else because of this for me it was tricky to get really involved because of the lack of emotional interaction.
Could the author make this couple to last forever without the epilogue included since they were so young? Mmmm maybe. Was it going to fulfill the readers? Probably not. Was it gonna be credible? Again, mmm not necessarily.
I did enjoy the story, it was cute, nice, and hopeful.
P.S.: I’m 5’7 and in my circle I’m considered tall.. I feel so small reading these series.
When I first heard that it was going to be Jenna’s story this time, I thought, isn’t it too early for it to be her turn? But of course, I was wrong! I loved Jenna from the last book, but I can’t begin to explain how much I loved getting to know her on a deeper (and I mean deeper. 😉 ) level this time. She's fantastic! She was mature for her age, intelligent, humorous, and, like many Carlsbad women, beautiful and tall. Is everyone really that tall in SoCal? 5'3" is small, really?? 😂 Stephanie is just as amazing, and they really are perfect for one another. She's the kind of person that I hope I was with when I was 18. I love that they’re both focused young women and very goal-oriented.
Given that they were so young when they got together, I started to wonder about what would happen to them as time went on in the last few chapters. As a result, I was both happy and a little heartbroken when I got to it. I kind of felt guilty doubting Sabrina’s ability to really get what the reader needs from a story, but of course, she knows and she delivered and I'm never doubting her ever again!
Although Book 10 is just as humorous, steamy, and heartwarming as the others, the post-epilogue really made the difference this time. It actually caused me to tear up a little, and It was just so very sweet! It was undoubtedly the most satisfying ending. Once more, excellent work! And as per usual, I'm looking forward to the next! 😊
Secondly, as with some of Kane's books, this one didn't have much of a story to sink your teeth into.
Thirdly, for a couple of young college women who aren't *that* rich they sure seem to have an impressive disposal income. Even when considering any help from the 'rents.
Lastly, you can be femme and still open jars, kill or capture spiders and build flatpack furniture. Dear god.
PS: I was going to rate this 3 stars but I was impressed with the ending, it was nice.
Loved it, of course! Stephanie and Jenna were young and in love, and it was nice to see how they handled their relationship in the beginning. OK, the ending in this one was different, but it had to happen this way! Got into the feels there at the end.
So, I liked this book. Fun, young...then unrealistic. All the lesbians in the book are ridiculously hot! I mean my friends aren't bad, but I'm not mystified & moist when they look my way. And, the sex, once it starts, constant, often, no other real meat there. I mean I get it, if you're looking for angst...it doesn't live here. For the genre, this is a good book. The only qualm that knocked it one star down was the sex imagery. Some of it..like the onomatopoeia used for sex sounds were written in such a way that either those orgasms were so fire the ladies turned into mummies OR perhaps I have a poor grasp of what some of those stringed consonants sound like....lol. Should you read this book? Yes Is there erotica in it? Yes Is there a HEA...yep Is this realistic? Sure especially to the extent that 20 year Olds screw like rabbits
I loved this book....the second epilog was the greatest. Made for such a happy ending. All these books in this series were my favorites to read. I couldn't wait for the latest to come out and read it in one day.
Another great story from Sabrina Kane. I wasn’t expecting the end especially the epilogue. My favourite part was the epilogue. The reality I didn’t expect. You’ll be looking back at your teenage life 😂😂 This is a must read! 💙💙💙💙
Sabrina Kane’s Carlsbad Series just keeps getting better! This is the 10th book in the series and it’s sooooo good! I loved Steph and Jenna’s chemistry and the Post-Epilogue was perfection!
Young love that blossoms through time. A sweet and endearing story of two women, living through life only to find themselves in each other’s orbit, for a HEA.
This is one of my favorite books from Carslbad Village series so far! I adore the humor, the pining, and the dynamics between Jenna and Stephanie. They seem so relatable to me.
This is a Sabrina Kane book so I can dispense with telling you that the characters are uber well developed, that it's steamy as a coal powered locomotive and that all the women are stunning amazonian volleyball players... you already know that. I can also dispense with telling you it's amazing... you already know that too. This woman has never yet written a bad book and this doesn't even feature among the less-amazing amazing ones.
We met Jenna in the previous book, she was a mature but still developing barely adult side foil to her aunt Grace. Well, in the couple of years since, she's matured and developed to the point that she now knows what she wants in life... and it appears in the form of another stunning (sigh... typical) redhead called Stephanie who she (somewhat immaturely) drunk calls for help.
There's something special about this book due to Jenna's age - it means Kane is mapping out, not just a steamy relationship here but also a steamy awakening. She does this with her usual confidence and aplomb - of course.
The story develops with Sabrina's usual low-angst relationship commitment but still lacks no interest for it.
The ending is super special and, I happen to know, something Sabrina added as an extra special treat but it complements the whole theme of the book with such class.
The only problem for me is that I need MORE, far MORE of Jenna and Stephanie. There's no way that one book is enough of their cuteness... until the next instalment of Carlsbad women where I'm sure I'll find a new favourite!
There's no way you can miss out on reading this - do read the rest of the series first, though it won't be the end of the world to read standalone.
So, pretty standard style of format and opening for a story. I did like it despite that somewhat predictable opener.
Sabrina Kane, she really does try different styles of storytelling and I applaud her for that.
I can tell she really tries to be creative with this series in this fictional Carlsbad Romance world, but as a writer I know how tough it can be to be really creative in this kind of world that we're trying to build and build characters into more.
I will say, the steamy scenes, they were well done.
And yet it was kinda hard to take a breather from one to the next. Now, I was a horny teen guy (for the most part), so I kinda remember what it was like for me back then too and remember all the new feelings everyone feels when they have their firsts. First kiss, first love, first dance, first real love, and first real 'time'. So, that is actually pretty true to life with teens (especially older teens).
So, yeah, I enjoyed it, despite my inability to breath because of all the spicy scenes. and I will say that the large time jump, like with some other reviewers, I really didn't like that. I thought she could've just had them go forward to the end of like Steph's senior year in college, MAYBE to her getting her master's degree and then the aftermath of that could've still shown us readers that, "Hey, we're still really close. We've gone through a lot of crap together and we have still made it out the other side, and on top of the world too." So, that was also a little annoying.
“‘If you admit you were jealous, I’ll admit something back,’ she stated. Jenna’s heart started thudding. Trying to control her breathing, she asked, ‘What will you admit?’ Stephanie shook her head. ‘Admit you were jealous,’ she said. Jenna breathed in deeply and then let it out with a sigh.”
Heroine: 18 year old Jenna Nettles Heroine: 21 year old Stephanie Randolph
I was not expecting that epilogue but I kind of loved it. Like seriously. It was real and made complete sense.
Cliffhanger – no (book #10 in series) POV - Jenna & Stephanie
