This one was all about Shiloh and Knox. I’ve been waiting for Knox to get his story since he was first introduced! I can’t even really explain why. I just really liked his character and I couldn’t wait for him to get his own story. And it definitely didn’t disappoint. Knox has had things pretty rough. He accused his brother of attacking and putting their mother into a coma and got him sent to prison. And it kind of felt as if he lost two people that day. But just when he was beginning to settle into a new normal, whatever that means, his brother is released after the case is retried and Knox has to accept that there is a possibility Dawson didn’t attack their mother. And if that’s the case, then Knox has an even bigger problem on his hands. If Dawson didn’t attack their mother, who did?
Shiloh was a little rougher around the edges than the female main characters in the last two books in the series. And she just had a way about her. The way she expressed her thoughts and feelings. I don’t know. It was just different and really made her a stand-out character for me. She really did her best to push people away in order to protect herself. And while she definitely had some vulnerabilities, she did a great job masking them for everyone. Well, almost everyone. Because she and Knox pretty much had a connection from the moment they met. Each of them had parts of themselves they felt were damaged and the other person had the ability to fix those damaged parts. The way they came together was really beautiful and I absolutely loved it.
No matter what way you cut it, families are always complicated in one way or another. In Lovely Harrowed Heart, Abbey Easton certainly showed us how complicated both Shiloh’s and Knox’s families were. I mean, imagine accusing your brother of attacking your mother only to find out he may not have done it. Then add a sister into the mix who believes the brother but also wants to support you. And what you get from that is a big bowl of complicated. Where Shiloh is concerned, her parents mean well, but they clearly don’t understand their daughter or what she wants to do with her life. And their answer to that conundrum is to do whatever they can to control that life and try to steer Shiloh into living one they think she should.
I really didn’t want to believe that Dawson harmed their mother. And I could understand his sister Annabelle not wanting to believe it. But I can also see where Knox is coming from. He saw what he saw and he did the math that he thought was in front of him. It definitely put Annabelle in the middle. But she also had evidence of her own and I give her major credit for approaching it in the gentlest way possible to Knox. She wasn’t out to hurt him and she knew that if he found out he was wrong about Dawson all this time, he was going to feel guilty. And while Knox would never want to harm his brother or do anything to put him in a dangerous situation, I think it got to the point where he wanted Dawson to be guilty. Because otherwise, it would mean he put his brother in jail for something he didn’t do.
Shiloh and Knox were able to find a way to help one another heal. Everything that was going on with them, all the feelings that they didn’t want to talk to others about. They found a way to talk about them with each other. The way their love story began and developed was so natural and it was truly a beautiful story. And then when things all came to a head? We went from beautiful to terrifying in what felt like a heartbeat. The action was on point and had me wishing that my reading speed was even faster because I couldn’t wait for the next big thing to happen. I truly recommend not only the Cypress Falls series but Abbey Easton. She really is an incredible author. And she always has me so conflicted between wanting to get through the book quicker and slowing down so it lasts longer!

This is book three in The Cypress Falls Series and it is Shiloh and Knox's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Wow this series just gets better and better with each book and this one takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and the storyline pulled you in right from the beginning and kept your attention throughout and I just couldn't put it down. There are twists and turns along with danger, suspense, action, family, complicated characters and some difficult situations that you definitely didn't see coming but had you turning the pages wondering what would happen next. Shiloh and Knox had a strong connection right from the start but both had baggage and trust issue's but when the walls came down between them it was such a beautiful thing to see and I loved how they started opening up to each other and just when you think things have calmed down you get a bit shock that had you on the edge of your seat while holding your breath wondering what the outcome would be for them all. I definitely recommend you read this book and series and you will not be disappointed.
This is the third book in the Cypress Falls series. You can read it as a standalone but it is connected to the other books. You get and intro to Knox in book one and he's best friends with Ty and Ellie from book two. I loved Knox and Shiloh's story. Shiloh is at Willow Grace trying to heal from the trauma she endured. She's not overly thrilled to be on a ranch around horses but there's something about Knox that makes her feel safe. She has a difficult time staying away but she's knows that love has only brought her heartache. Knox has his own issues and his tendency to keep his feelings to himself doesn't help. Well written close door romantic suspense, can't wait for Annabella's story next. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Lovely Harrowed Heart is book 3 in the Cypress Falls series, and a new author for me. Overall, I found this to be a very enjoyable read. I hadn't read any other books in the series, but I did not have any trouble reading this as a stand-alone. There was a lot of chemistry between Shiloh and Knox, each one of them are dealing with issues that took place in the past. I read this book in one sit down session, so it kept me turning the pages. I most definitely would recommend this book to others.

Cute story with low heat (fade to black, one scene) and good suspense. I liked the characters and their journey. They both had healing to go through. They may not be fully healed by the end of the book, but the journey we've seen leads the reader to believe that together they can make it and have a good and loving life. She went on the retreat because her parents made her in hopes she would find healing, she really didn't believe she could. It turns out, it was exactly what she needed, even though danger showed up at the ranch.

Lovely Harrowed Heart is Book 3 of the Cypress Falls series by Abbey Easton. This book is as good as the other two in the series. I can not wait for the rest. Knox helps run his families therapy retreat ranch and Shiloh comes to the ranch for some healing from a trauma. They somehow become friends and then more. Meanwhile, Knox's family is trying to adjust to his brother being home from prison. Knox has healing of his own to deal with. The true murderer comes to light after Shiloh and Annabelle are kidnapped. Knox and Shiloh find their HEA. I highly recommend this book to all romance readers.

I have read a few of Easton's books now and am beginning to have high expectations and this one certainly didn't disappoint. Knox had intrigued me from the beginning; such a strong person of few words with so much hurt swirling within. From Shiloh's first introduction, I was worried that I would be disappointed with the match, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. Time stopped when I was reading this book and I really didn't want it to end. I love Easton's writing style and the way that she makes her characters come alive. family We all wish that family is the one group of people where we are safe, where we are accepted as we are and who will stand by us. I often wonder where this notion comes from, often family members are the ones that hurt us the most and if you are not lucky to find support elsewhere it´s hard to find the courage to walk away from toxic behaviour and start over alone. I enjoyed rading Shiloh and Knox´s story but some of the hardships they had to face where close to being too much to take. Shiloh and Knox both have issues. They seem to be able to open up to each other, even when they haven't been able to talk to anyone else about their feelings and pasts. When there are threats directed against Shiloh, Knox's protective side kicks into gear. The who and why were a huge surprise, and it was scary reading for a bit. I loved Knox in the previous books, and am glad to see him find his happiness. Shiloh's a bit more difficult, with big walls erected as a result of her trauma. Shiloh is sent by her parents to Cypress Falls, to the therapy retreat, as she's had an awful experience. It's on a ranch owned by Knox' family. He's having a hard time coming to terms with family issues, because of his upbringing, he's hiding and not discussing anything. Shiloh manages to get into an anthill and falls in the pond! Knox rescues her and she starts to feel safe. But who is causing the problems at the ranch and why?

This is the third installment in the Cyrpess Falls series, maybe even the best one yet. The story was captivating and really made me feel as though I was living out the story alongside the characters. It had an amazing blend of romance, mystery and intrigue. Easton's vivid descriptions and compelling characters drew me deeper into the story. The writing was elegant and makes for a satisfying addition to the series. Well…it certainly had its moments. The storyline was really good; the characters well developed; the plot twists and turns were a tad too easy to figure out; but the HEA was truly kick-ass. I think if you’re looking for a good suspense book, this one should meet all your requirements. Grab a copy today! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and definitely enjoyed it.) ❤️❤️
Sweet, swoony, and full of small town charm and romance. Loved the main characters. There was plenty of suspense with struggles involved but the happy ending arrives. Well written with a great plot. I couldn't put this one down. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I really wanted to read Knox’s story as he was such a mystery. He always seemed so quiet. He meets Shiloh at the ranch his family owns, they both have trust issues and baggage but eventually they learn to trust each other and break down their walls and it’s a beautiful story . I am so glad Knox got his happy ending. I received a copy from Booksirens and leave my review voluntarily.
Shiloh's parents send her to Willow Hope Ranch to hopefully heal from a recent trauma. There she meets Knox and there is a instant attraction between the two. When strange things begin to happen around the ranch Knox vows to keep Shiloh safe. Great addition to the series.
I don't know what else to say other than it's so damn good. I never thought I'd find another author that brought to the table the perfect small town romantic suspense as Catherine Cowles, but Abbey Easton is as close as it gets.
