We find ourselves back up on Hollow Hill. This time we get a front row seat as the Slade brothers, Mason and Bennett lose their shit over Tessa Clarke.
As Rhett Clarke’s niece, Tessa has always been off limits to the brothers, and all of the Ravens of Hollow Hill. Despite that edict, there is undeniable chemistry and affections.
When given an ultimatum, Tessa refuses to back down and I’m here for it. Without bending to their will, she brings them both to their knees and what could be better than a Raven on his knees? Two!
Rory and Tate bring the heat and debauchery like no other duo can. I’ve been waiting for this story since I discovered Rory and the brothers’ prequel last year and it was worth the wait!

⤅ Fairly enjoyable, but only if you manage to disengage every brain cell you possess.
Rounding up from 2.5 stars because there are a couple of things about this book which I rather liked, actually. It's on the shorter side - closer to a novella than a novel - and there were many eyeroll moments, but the premise is interesting and the heroine is awesome.
18-year-old Tessa Clarke lives on Hollow Hill with her uncle and his family. Her cousin Grey and his friends are known as the Ravens, a sort of criminal gang, and two of their members are half-brothers Bennett and Mason Slade. They're just four months apart in age, almost identical in appearance, and Tessa is totally in love with both of them.
Thanks to her cousin's edict, none of them have ever acted on their attraction, but Tessa snapped last weekend and kissed both brothers at a party. They're willing to take things further - but with one caveat: they don't share, so she has to choose between them. But she refuses to do that.
First things first: you have to suspend a TON of disbelief to enjoy this book. I skimmed chunks of the whole 'Ravens are vicious murderers who rule the town and kill multiple people without so much as a sniff from the police' thing, because please. The dialogue is also really cheesy. At one point you have one of the heroes talking straight-faced about the 'hoe phase' he went through, and my stomach basically disappeared into my oesophagus from cringing so hard. The rest of the prose was better, though not by much.
That said, Tessa totally makes this book. She's stubborn, can come out with the odd sassy one-liner, and never really lets the boys walk all over her. By the end of it, she's proven that she genuinely won't choose between them. And I love that she isn't a virgin. Sure, she's not as experienced as them, but the fact they were expecting her to be totally untouched and she just isn't made me more inclined to round my rating up.
The premise is also honestly really good. It would have been nice to get much more backstory to the characters and see how their connection first developed - even a prequel properly narrating the party where she first kisses them would help. But ultimately, the whole thing of two jealous brothers trying to make a heroine choose between them was a good setup. Bennett and Mason's transformation from jealousy to a grudging MFM felt surprisingly organic. Their fraternal arguments could be entertaining, too.
I'm less enthused about the sequel, which features Grey and his stepsister, but I'm intrigued enough to try it.

If you're looking for a quick read full of psychotic characters, ott JP douchebags, a tough FMC, and a super toxic relationship, this is your jam. No swoony sweet moments here. Pure toxicity =D.
There wasn't really anything redeeming of the brothers. Some of their actions towards Tessa were pretty reprehensible and disgusting, but given this is my 6th book by Ireland, I expected as much, so I wasn't offended. I did enjoy how things wrapped up in the end and look forward to reading Gray and Emerson's story.

This one was so hard for me to enjoy because of the guys. Let me start over.
Tessa did something when she was alottle drunk she kissed both Bennett and Mason at a party and now both are trying to get her to choose between them. Which is hard because she wants both or nothing.
The fights between the brothers were fun but it got trying when it kept happening and them trying to get her to choose. The om drama had to do with a flashback of Tess almost getting SA & the cousin not wanting the guys to date his family (he's getting a book)
Like really that's what bugged me they kept asking doing these taunts and games for her to pick. Even going as far as faking a I'll kill one of the guys so pick who to save. Which really Tessa should have made them guys grovel more. They never listened to a word she said Which was sad. This could have been a good story without all that drama.
Tiny om drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, drama, sexy time, no virgins (were manwhores before kept teasing they can do any chick.)

Tessa cannot chose between the Slade brothers. They were half brothers born a few months a part, they grew up sharing everything now they each want Tessa to themself. When Tessa refuses to chose the brothers come up with elaborate ways to force her hand.
They want her to choose and use every method they can so she chooses one of them. Tessa is strong, sassy and bold. All three characters are stubborn and determined to get what they want. This book has murder and spice and some not so nice men. It's the first standalone in the series. I cannot wait for more of these possessive and obsessive Ravens!!
A spicy, dark, unique, why choose romance. And thank god the girl was not a virgin finally after a long time seeing this.
I just wish brothers had grovelled little bit.

Just okay….
Meh. I don’t know what I was hoping for with this, but I didn’t get it. There’s possessive and protective, and then there’s just arrogant boys who think they’re men. Mason and Bennett fall into the latter category.
While I enjoyed Tessa’s spirit, I felt like she put up with way too much from these two jerks. This otherworldly pretense that this group of guys runs the whole mountain and can do whatever they want, no matter how egregious, and have absolutely zero consequences is a little too much for my liking.
There was some steam. And I guess we are considering this a HEA since they are all together at the end. But they are still pretty awful to Tessa and each other. While this may be someone’s cup of tea, it wasn’t mine.

This was another hot dark MFM romance that I devoured by this duo ! I loved the characters the writing is excellent theirs suspense drama toxic love and the steam was delicious I love the OTT jealous possessive heroes in this book also love getting POV from all three main characters one thing I love about these two authors is their ability to tell a good story in a short amount of chapters this was another quick but fantastic read! Definitely recommend!

I picked this book because I liked the cover, but after starting the story, I realized that I don't like the main characters that much... I would have preferred it if maybe Bennett and Mason had a different kind of relationship.

Well Rory and Tate do it again! Another fantastic book with some swoon worthy men and a great fmc. I love how Tessa didn’t back down from what she wanted. It’s both or none to her because she can’t choose just one because they both bring something to her life. Not to mention she doesn’t want to ruin their relationship as brothers. It’s a light plot but we get to see other characters that will be around in other books and we get to see their love story and how it pans out. Great book and characters. Hot as hell and I want more!!!! I love both brothers but there was just something about Bennett ❤️❤️!

Thanks so much for the ARC. The chase is what gets me. Both brothers (not related by blood) desired her for years, and she has been forbidden to be touched and even looked at. Tessa is a big off limits, but one night Tessa gets tipsy, fucks around, and finds out.

Lo admito… Cada vez que las leo, hay mejora con estas autoras, tanto que ya ni me ando quejando de los párrafos eternos de mil renglones 😍. Tessa con Mason & Bennett fueron un deleite, me gustaron los cameos de otros personajes. Lo único, sería útil un árbol que relacione a todos los personajes del universo taboo, tendría gran utilidad (halhp me andaba confundiendo de historias).

This was recommended to me, and I am new to this author duo.
Dark and deviant are good descriptions for this one. There is very little care given to Tessa, (or any of the women mentioned) as they are treated as possessions/toys, and while she claims to be stuck between Mason and Bennett Slade, it's a weird MFM relationship.
She and the other females seems to be a hostage of her uncle/cousin/grandfather (?) who is more unhinged than the two guys fighting for her. She's called "spitfire", but to me, it was just her desire to fight and escape, by any means.
Lots of angry, questionable consent situations, so probably not okay for sensitive readers. Suspend any hope for a reasonable plot or storyline that makes sense. It's not here.

I’ve been waiting with bated breath for Fu*kboys in Flannel ever since I read its prequel (of the same name), and I can’t tell you how thrilled I was to see this deviant little beauty arrive in my inbox. Give me more Ravens, or give me death!
This book includes its predecessor, but expands with events that immediately follow the filthy debauchery that takes place at the Slade house party. Our badass FMC Tessa takes the concept of “why choose” to a whole new level, shamelessly bringing half-brothers Bennett and Mason to their knees. She’s wanted both of them for as long as she can remember, and she refuses to settle for anything less, even if that means putting herself in the crosshairs.
Having gotten a taste of the Slade brothers in the past, I was excited to get a healthier helping. They’re the epitome of the unhinged, excessively violent, mind-game-playing-stab/shoot-first-ask-questions-later alphaholes I crave in Ireland’s and Monroe’s stories. However, at the same time…their little spitfire walks alllll over them. I loved the dynamics not only between them and Tessa, but each other as well.
While the story itself is a bit light on the plot, the narrative is propelled forward by the themes of standing strong and refusing to submit. The prequel sets a tone, and if I’m being honest, I was a little surprised that it was completely turned on its head – a power shift I did not see coming. Unexpected, but by no means unwelcome.
Ireland and Monroe are a dream team, providing some of the best depraved smutty goodness you could possibly ask for. I’ve had the pleasure of reading stories from them both individually, but this collaboration between the two (and a promise for more in the future) is just incredible. Hot and steamy, forbidden and taboo, kinky as all hell…you want it, they’ll deliver.
I really enjoyed this one, and I’m excited to see what Ireland and Monroe have in store for us. We’ve got a few more Ravens to put in their places, so I’ll just be sitting here patiently awaiting Fu*k Around & Find Out!

Having read most of Ms.Ireland and Ms.Monroe's work before i always get excited whenever i get to read more of this duo's work! As soon as this book was announced i couldn't wait to read it! I picked it up and got right into the Ravens of Hollow Hill world! I really enjoyed this story!
Tessa, Bennett, and Mason's journey captured my attention and didn't let go! Tessa has always had a thing for the Slade Brothers. What happens when Bennett and Mason want to make her choose between them?
I really loved how determined Tessa was when it came to the brothers. Bennett and Mason weren't ones to back down from one another and i really liked the way both of them weren't willing to give up Tessa. These three had me going through such a range of emotions throughout and absolutely kept me glued to my kindle. The steam was all kinds of blushworthy goodness that was off the charts!
Ms.Ireland and Ms.Monroe created the absolutely addictive read with heat and darkness that i didn't want to turn away from! This duo never fail to make me blush in every way. 🥵 If you haven't checked out their work yet, you so need to! I can't wait to dive back into Ravens of Hollow Hill world with book two! 💛

Y nop, no es que hubiese una separación (Si no recuerdo mal, fue una noche o un fin de semana que Bennett & Mason tuvieron que ir a otra ciudad) Tampoco fue porque ella hubiese descartado o renunciado a los hermanos Slade e intentara seguir adelante sin ellos.

Ella les cuenta, literalmente, que perdió la virginidad con un Don Nadie porque no quería que ninguno de los hermanos se decepcionara o peleara por quien sería el primero... 🙄🤦

I couldn’t wait for this book after having read the teaser for it before and Rory and Tate did not disappoint! It’s a fast burn and very steamy book!
Tessa is one seriously brave girl to take on both Slade brothers! She takes zero crap from either of them and always has a snarky reply ready for them. I admired that she knew exactly what she wanted and wasn’t going to be made to change her mind.
Mason and Bennett Slade are intense, very dominating, possessive, and extremely competitive with each other. They make it very clear to Tessa that they do not want to share and that she needs to choose between them. As you can imagine, Tessa will not pick between them and they do not take that well. All hell breaks loose after that lol
This was a great dark mfm romance and a fantastic start to this new series! We get a nice introduction to a lot of new characters and even see some familiar characters as well. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next one!

New Rory and Tate book? Yep! New toxic guy to fall in love with? Uh-huh! New favorite? YUP!! These two know how to hook me and know how to write the perfect MMC - Possessive, OTT, jealous, obsessive, unhinged... they tick all these boxes.
Bennett and Mason... these two... 🫠🫠🫠 they will do whatever it takes to be the only one that has Tessa, even off each other. Tessa, however, will not bend. From the beginning, she refuses to choose and forces them to play nice, eventually.
This one is a standalone, but since some of the Ravens are in this one, I assume we will be seeing more of them. I loved seeing old faces too. I cannot wait for more of these possessive and obsessive Ravens!!

This was a MFM erotica. With your “mountain man” vibes which they were described by wearing flannels. There wasn’t really a plot to this just mainly cat/mouse game going on between the main characters (brothers and woman). I got bored with it but still the spice was okay and I liked the vibes which gave it a 3 star.

Fu*kboys in Flannel by Rory Ireland and Tate Monroe is a dark MFM romance. This is the first book in the Ravens of Hollow Hill series.
I love Tate and Rory's dirty minds and just can't help but devour their books. I have been not so patiently waiting for this book to be released since Rory released a teaser of the first three chapters last year. Let me tell you Rory and Tate did not disappoint! The relationship between Tessa, Bennett, and Mason is messy and toxic but oh so HOT! I loved that we got Tessa, Bennett, and Mason's points of view throughout the book.
I can't wait for the next book in the series Fu*k Around & Find Out to be released on August 12, 2023, so I can get Grey and Emerson's story.
I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, MFM romances, or romantic suspense.

This is definitely not giving Rory Ireland vibes. The writing is difficult to get through. The incessant rambling during action scenes thoroughly pissed me off. At 55% of the book and 118 pages out of 192 we are still in the middle of the secondly present scene. Because it rambles on and on and on about shit that doesn’t matter, that nobody cares about, that relates nothing to the current events. The slade brother plot is a secondary story bc I feel like I read more Grey and Emerson from our characters pov then I read about our characters. If you’re going to write a short story you can’t throw as much information as you can at the reader for the first 50% of the book with maybe 1% of it being about the slade brothers and Tessa. I’ve had to skim through pages and pages constantly bc the characters thought would spin into info dumping about irrelevant things right in the middle of something happening. Imagine needing to get through 5 pages of inner monologue before a character responds to something someone just said bc the characters thought took off like that breaks everything. You aren’t able to feel anything about the current situation bc you can’t stay in it, the characters inner monologue will ruin it like .
I’ve read many of Rory’s book, all short but all always good and paced properly. I felt like this was more setting up grey and Emerson story than focusing on the current one.

I love a good why chose dark romance, and this one was no exception. Loving two men for different reasons is hard enough, but make them brothers? Seems impossible. The fear and power the Ravens have makes them intimidating and dangerous. Yet, that doesn’t make her want them any less. The uncontrollable feelings, the unexpected honesty, and how unapologetic everyone is, brought something new and exciting to the book.
“If they want to play this game, they’d do well to remember that I’m the only one who can anticipate their every move. If they want to burn Hollow Hill to the ground by making me choose which one of them gets to ruin my life. I’ll bring the f ing matches.”
“Either my plan works how I want it to. Or Grey really will f ing kill me. Guess we’ll just have to F around and find out.
“Grey isn’t as quick to throw a punch as Mason, but he’s not as in control of his emotions as Bennett is either. Bennett likes to incite fear, and Mason just likes to feel bones break beneath his hands.”
“At least let me have my own seat. I’ve experienced your driving, and I don’t really want to be your own personal airbag,” Emerson demands. “Like I’m going to give your psychotic a$$ the chance to tuck and roll out of the truck while I’m doing eighty.
