Grace Meyers is an author of beachy feel-good romances and women's contemporary fiction. She was born in the south, but has traveled a bit since then and now lives in a small coastal town.
The book starts out Rene & Evan have been divorced for over 9 month & didn’t tell their twin girls because they didn’t want to disrupt their first year at college, as they already have anxiety problems that seem to run in the family! I can’t believe they manage to hide it all this time. Now Rene is dreading them coming home & having to tell them. Before she gets around to telling them, one of the twins overhears her talking on the phone to her friends about the divorce & when she tells her sister they run out of the house & wants nothing to do with their mother. Rene, Miranda and Allison are best friends. They decide to rent a beach house for two weeks. They have been best friends since forever! They know everything about each other or so they thought, but they are all holding onto secrets it seems. Rene & Miranda came to the airport to pick up Allison & are leaving when Rene sees Evan in destress acting like a crazy person at the airport & he is supposed to be on a business trip. She immediately goes to him. What is going on? Is there an emergency? Has something happened to the girls or one of them? Is her parents ok? What is going on? This going to be a good series!!
I received this ARC for free and I a giving this review voluntarily in my own words.
Great new series by Grace Meyers. Rene and her husband Evan divorced over 9 months ago when their twin daughters went off to college. Both of them though it best to keep it quiet so the girls did not worry. Fast forward to summer and the girls have come home to discover the secret their parents were keeping. Rene has two college friends that have come to the beach for relaxation and girl time. Hopefully the family will heal and college friends will be there for each other. Thank you to the author for the ARC. This review is my own opinion.
Rene, Miranda and Allison are best friends. They decide to rent a beach house for two weeks. Each of them have things going on in their lives. Some of which are common knowledge and others are secret. This series is gonna be great. Good storyline with likable characters. Another wonderful book by Grace Meyers.

Rene, Miranda and Allison are high school friends getting together for two weeks. All three have different things going on in their lives that they haven’t really shared. Book 1 is laying the foundation of the story concentrating on Rene’s separation.
This is a great story! Love the characters and the storyline. There is a nice mix of several story paths going on to really keep your interest. Each story thread is very nicely woven to overlap each other for a smooth transition to keep your interest. Looking forward to the next book.
I was disappointed that the story arc seemed to spin its wheels and then end abruptly without resolution to anything of the conflict that came up in the story. I guess you have to read the whole series to get any resolution.
This was ok, more of a disjointed novella with a lot of promise than a full length book. Just as it seemed that the "set up" was there, the book abruptly ended. I'm not buying a dozen short books to get one full length novel, sorry.
Life with Rene and Evan has changed. A divorce nine month ago has been kept a secret from their college daughters. When the girls come home, it is left to Rene to break the news. The girls become so angry they leave and Rene has no further contact. She know they are safe but the won’t return photos calls or texts.
At the airport to pick up her friend for a beach vacation, Rene spent es her ex Evan home early from a business trip.
What is the 911 emergency Simmons from the daughters?
Thanks to the author for the ARC. This review is my honest opinion.
