A Patient's Guide to the Locations and Functions of over 400 Acupuncture Points. How to do acupressure effectively. How Chinese medicine works to treat disease. Each point is explained in easy-to-understand terms. The first book written for the layperson or patient. This book takes away some of the mystery of acupuncture. Understand how acupuncture works, by understanding how each point functions.
Since I have been using the kidney and insomnia points no more getting up in the middle of the night to pee. However the index is awful, she should have categorized points by disorders or at least listed those pages all in one section. Some of the pictures seem to not say what the description is, in particular the hairline images. Too many of the pictures require a google search to help find the point.
This book is very well laid out and straight forward for the lay person. It has inspired me to learn more about eastern healing. Unfortunately I bought the kindle book which made reading slow and tedious going back and forth between text and charts. Next time I’ll buy the real book. The author added recommended further reading at the end of this book which I really appreciate.
