Rate this book
Every man has his breaking point… and Jason Wake is no exception.

When a hostage situation off the coast of Panama goes awry, Jason and his team of covert operatives face off against their most vile and ruthless enemy yet—a warlord willing to murder his own people in droves for the sake of his cold-blooded mission.

With thousands of followers already joining the guerilla leader, Jason must find a way to defeat his newfound enemies on their own turf while battling to prevent a catastrophic attack.

From breathtaking Caribbean islands to hazardous unmapped jungles, Perilous Wake is Jason’s most arduous and daring adventure yet.

The first of the Jason Wake's I read but some series are better off started from the beginning in order to connect to previous characters. I read the Logan Dodge series so I knew Logan and Scott from there but had no clue about Charlotte or that Jason was a billionaire.

He is in Panama trying to save the President of that country but they don't seem to want the assist. Jason however, doesn't take no for an answer and continues to try and find the rebel and their leaders before they do serious damage to the country.

It's not that long of a book but convoluted and you know upon the first intoduction to the pit early in the book that Jason will end up in it.

Prefer the Logan Dodge books

Anger over bad corrupt people

I'm sure this plot is correlated to today's social and political climate, but it was an exciting read. But really, Matthew Rief, how can any human sustain the beatings and injuries as Wake does without extended medical care and rehabilitation??? He just seems to swat it off and keeps going. We know he's not going to die. But having said that, a very exciting read. Thanks.

Nothing Is More Perilous Than Messing With Jason Wake

A great plot line, with excellent pacing, and well developed characters who seem both real and believable are the things I enjoyed most in Perilous Wake.

Author Matthew Rief is to be congratulated for this excellent addition to the Jason Wake saga.

I highly recommend this book.

Great Series

Thoroughly enjoyed the fast action of this series. Like the Bond books and movies some of the action hard to believe but enjoyable all the same. Hate that the series is over. Will absolutely read the Keys series with Logan Dodge as I very much enjoy this author and his writing.

This is a series I had forgotten about but caught on a FB advertisement. I jumped in a absolutely enjoyed the series. The building of Jason from the billionaire corrupt father, the loss of his love to how Jason administered his new found inheritance throughout his adventures. I hope we haven't heard the end of this series.

Best Series since The Lord of the Rings

Rief did a masterful job of creating characters I will remember forever. Even the protagonist, Jason Wake, was created to be incredible, but believable. I thoroughly enjoyed this series and will look to see what else Matthew Rief wrote. Thank you for a wonderful story!

Still Very Unbelievable

Well, Jason continues to make James Bond look like a weakling. The Logan Dodge series is much better for the human flaws that slogan has. Better technological accuracy and much, much more enjoyable.
