Provisions
When a human commits a crime, there are three options:
1. The human becomes a provider. For one year, they are a slave to the hunger of the vampires who purchased their debt. After a year they are free to go, but being bitten comes at a cost.
2. The human’s debt is purchased by a vampire clan or, occasionally, a wealthy human family. They become an indebted, and they serve the household until their sentence is complete, or they are released.
3. Finally, if no one wants you, you are sent to the workhouses. You work off your debt, year by year. Once there, you are no longer human. You become nothing. When a criminal dies there, their debt must continue to be paid.
Hero Beckwith does not remember a time before the vampires came into power. Now, in her twentieth year, she finds herself being auctioned off to serve the remainder of the fifty-year sentence her deceased father failed to complete. Her worst fear is realized when an infamous trio of powerful vampires bids on her to be their provider. The Blythe clan may have purchased her services, but her obedience was not part of the deal. They say you can’t choose your family, but when the vampires imprisoning her are not who she thought they would be, lines begin to blur. The three men show her a life she didn’t know she was missing. But not everyone is content to revel in her newfound joy, and many would be just as happy to see her rotting in the ground next to her father. After being alone for so long, the Blythe men will stop at nothing to protect what’s theirs.
‘Provisions’ is a new take on the vampire genre. The novel is a ‘why choose’ romance with an established MMM relationship. This steamy adult novel contains situations and themes that some readers may find offensive. This is book one in a series but can be read as a stand-alone with a HEA.

Hm. This one was difficult to rate, and I'm still not sure I gave it the rating I actually think fits. The story has an exceptional beginning, for the first few chapters I couldn't put it down and I stayed up way too late reading, wishing I never had to go to bed.
Then it took a turn, and I'm not sure it ever recovered. Hero, who started out as strong and interesting becomes needy and desperate. She begs to be bitten despite knowing it will most likely turn her crazy. Her first time in bed with someone is a foursome. I'm all for the why choose troop, but it didn't fit in right there.
Later on, however, the spice felt more natural, though some scenes felt like they were only there for the sake of adding more sex to the story. The writing is really good, though, so it didn't bother me much.
Then we got to the bonding. Which felt a bit...eh? It was an unexpected turn which didn't feel completely realistic. They were in a hurry, sure, but it was a decision that could end them all, and for someone they hadn't known that long? Hm. Not sure I'm buying it.
The writing through the whole thing was amazing. Elle has a fantastic way of words, but for the stunning beginning the story had the rest fell a bit flat for me.
Would I recommend it? If you like spicy vampires, then yes, give it a go.
If you're more interested in a good plot than good spice, maybe not.

Provisions by Elle Stager is an absolutely gorgeous dystopian vampire romance with a MMMF couple. This is a definite must re-read from me because I enjoyed it so much, and one I highly recommend adding to any TBR.
Elle truly did a fantastic job at world building. It felt smooth, not forced or so much you lose the main story and characters. You will absolutely feel immersed in this world.
I adored MC Hero and her story of injustices but her willingness to accept whatever comes. She shows a tender softness but also showcases her strength and passion all balanced in an authentic way.
Hero and the Bythle clan are just the absolutely just an amazing showcase of a why choose romance. They are sweet, spicy, playful and downright passionate. This couple have amazing balance, growth, and chemistry in their relationship.

I don't Typically read why choose Romances however, this one is well worth the read. I love the dynamics between Donovan, Stellen, Perrin and Hero. The author paints the world like a picture it is easy to imagine. It is a quick enjoyable read. With plenty of Spice to go around. Three vampires and their human what else could you ask for!

Bored, DNF
Hero (heroine) is very entitled, I couldn't find it in me to root for her. There was nothing there to worry about. I can't even say I liked any of her characterisation. Her hysterics put me right off her.
The absolute lack of fear she had for the vampires makes you wonder why they had been no rebellions by the humans.
This is a vampire light, if you will.
The MMCs were flat and one dimensional to me.
The world build is weak. Found myself wondering if this was meant to be a world gone back to the dark ages or if it was futuristic. They had phones but no electricity??
By 48% I figured I just didn't care.

A vampire why choose, how could you say no?!
Omg I think I’m addicted to everything this author writes! I absolutely loved her Cypress Ridge Series and just knew I had to start this one when I heard book 2 was coming out. Provisions is a new take on vampires, as in they’re the bad guys while also being the good guys.
In this world, vampires rule now and when humans commit a crime they have 3 options. They can either be sold to a vampire or clan for one year to be their provider,meaning the vampires feed from them and then they’re released when that year is up. That’s the second worst option as they’re something like a drug addict once they leave and spend the rest of their days searching for that high they’ll never get again. Option 2 is being an “indebted “, aka a servant for a very wealthy human family or a vampire clan. However long your sentence is, you spend your time as that family’s servant. Then if no one buys you, you’re sent to the workhouse, just like in English history, where most people die well before their sentences are over. The problem is…that debt still has to be paid.
Shortly before her 20th birthday, Hero is forced to attend the gala where she’ll be sold like a pair of shoes. Her crime? Being her fathers daughter. Her father died 8 years into his 50 year sentence at the workhouse, so his debt is now hers. Hero believes her childhood friend August is going to “buy” her as an indebted and they’ll live happily ever after like they always planned. Unfortunately things go quite awry as the notorious Blythe clan do something they’ve never done, they buy Hero as a provider. Hero is terrified and sure this is the worst thing that could’ve happened…..until it’s not. When she’s shown care, amenities, and kindness she’s never known, Hero starts to realize there might be more to this secretive clan than she thought. Along the way she learns why she’s really there, and it is to provide, just not the way she thought.

A Vampire Dystopian world? Yes please!!! Elle Stager has created such an incredible world, where vampires are in charge because we humans have bunged it up so badly. The crime/punishment system in this story is the best one I’ve ever read. You do the crime, you get years, and there’s a few ways for you to serve that time. I’ll leave that tidbit for you to find out on your own, because it’s outstanding.
Hero is our FMC in this work, and man, I am OBSESSED with her! She’s not weak, she’s not snivelling, she’s been dealt such a terrible hand in life, and has absolutely no idea what the heck she’s got ahead of her. I’m totally jealous of her hair though, not going to lie.
Donavan, Stellen and Perrin are our MMCs, and let me just say, you need them in your life. They each have an incredibly distinct personality, and you can feel all their emotions pouring off the page. Well, I can, because I claim them as my own now. I’d throw myself in front of a bus for these men.
It’s spicy. Like, get the milk to cool the burn spicy. That being said, the spice is not gross, it’s not shameful, it’s stunning. The beauty of a well laid scene shines so brightly. It’s like being wrapped in a warm jalapeño blanket 😂
All in all, I will absolutely be recommending this book to everyone and anyone who will listen to me talk about it. Check your trigger warnings, just to make sure there’s nothing contained that may be personally difficult for you, the reader.

A lot of life over the last few months has kept me from this absolute gem and I wish I had been able to pick it up so much sooner! I enjoy steamy romance books that explore the unconventional relationships but typically lean more toward FFM romance. This one may have just opened up a whole new reading list for me! The relationships explored are raw, emotional, passionate, protective, and so deeply caring.. Not to mention HOT! 🔥🥵❤️🔥
There are so many things I want to shout from the rooftops but I’m trying to keep this thing spoiler free. I am the type of reader to speed through books that captivate me, but Provisions captivated me in a completely new way where I found myself intentionally reading it slowly so that I could stay in Hero’s world a little longer.
The way Elle Stager writes these characters felt so relatable and more realistic than I have come to find in paranormal/supernatural romances I’ve found in the past. Coming from a traumatic childhood and an abusive relationship, I found Hero refreshing. She questions herself often and is so honest in her emotions when she feels she is in a safe space. She has been through so much but she doesn’t let it define her. I love that Elle Stager wrote a character like Hero. 🖤 I can’t wait to immediately jump into Procured and see what’s next in this world of vampires and humans!
And to Elle, I’m so sorry it took me MONTHS to read this incredible story you’ve created! I wish I’d been able to pick this up the second I saw it!

This book was absolutely amazing. I was hooked from the very sentence. I loved the dynamic and relationships between the Blythe clan and with Hero. The tenderness and love between Perrin, Stellen and Donovan was so sweet to read.
I really enjoyed the dystopian future and thought this was a really fun and unique take on the vampire genre! I will absolutely be reading the next book in this world! This book was an easy 5 stars for me!

A wonderful vampire dystopian world! I like to read some why choose books and this was no exception. The author does an amazing job with the character development and world building that it is easy to picture it all in your head and see it play out. Each character has a distinct personality. I loved the dynamic between the MCs throughout the book. If you love vampires, dystopians, strong FMC, and why choose spice, then this is definitely up that alley!

This was a very unique take on a white shoes, vampire romance. Our FMC has to pay penance for her father‘s crimes and gets auctioned off. She’s hoping that her high school sweetheart if you will saves her, but instead, she gets picked by a vampire clan. She still pining over her high school sweetheart, but she doesn’t realize that she escaped a fate worse than the one that she is in right now.this was such a cute book and such loving main characters.

Just finished reading Provisions TWICE to make sure I didn’t miss anything 😅 The world this book is written in is different than other Vampire Novels I’ve read and I couldn’t get enough of learning about the world itself. Following Hero through her journey was so wild from start to finish. The smut…. 😏

are in LOVE. Fabulous!
This novel is fun and fast paced. I love the concept for the vampire ruled world, with laws, traditions and history that I think are unique.

I was not expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did. It was not what I expected but in the best possible way. The world-building of this dystopian vampire-human universe is honestly unlike anything I’ve read before. I just hope that the author actually writes the second book that has been hinted about, as I haven’t seen any sort of updates for awhile now.

This book is easy to read and visualize. The world is very creative with lots of depth. Reminded me of Beauty and the Beast meets Twilight only much much better than both of those. Also, great sex scenes!

This book was great! I loved the dynamic and their relationship. Not only between Hero and the guys but with them too, the chemistry that Donovan, Stellen and Perrin have I Loved it!
Hero! She’s such a strong character. Paying a price that her family left. She’s in a shitty situation but they help her. I love that she’s instantly curious and she needs the love they give her. That’s all she’s ever wanted.
Donovan! The HBIC! Perrin the cinnamon roll! Stellen the second cinnamon roll.
The chemistry amazing! The spice was great. Their dirty talk, impeccable! I loved that from the very beginning they were protecting her! She’s apart of their family now and that’s what she’s needed.

This was a refreshing take on vampires. They take control of the world because humans only seem to ruin everything... go figure. I loved the world building and the character development. Hero is purchased by a clan that has never taken a provider in the past. She expects to be fed on and taken advantage of for the year of her service but looks definitely were deceiving. I'm such a sucker (no pun intended) for a story that starts with a preexisting mmm relationship and they bring the female in after. I just love the dynamics of the group. The male characters in this are so devoted to each other, it's sweet... in a damn sexy way. With betrayal, crazy entiled vampires seeking revenge and smexy times with group activities I enjoyed reading this and look forward to the next one.
