The Chimera Wolf

Rate this book
Austin is an orphaned shifter dropped at the doors of an unknown pack. He was only five when his life changed. Not that he could remember much before the accident.

Now, this is his life. To be raised by the Alpha and Luna, but not equal to their first-born son Brian. Austin often feels like an outsider never truly wanted by this backward pack of werewolves. He is stuck in no man's land with no one to care for him. He is the packs' mutt, the butt of all jokes. Worst of all, he is the future alpha's manservant.

Time will only tell what fate awaits our young shifter. With his eighteenth birthday only months away, will he find his freedom? Will he be forced to flee and go rogue to escape the hell his adopted family puts him through? If he is lucky, someone will finally come forward and claim him. Maybe a grandparent or an uncle, Austin would even settle for his mate at this point if they didn't come from the Genesis Moon pack of Nebraska. What did the Moon Goddess think when she forged this pack of jerks? Join Austin on his life's journey as The Chimera Wolf.

I’ve always believed that stories choose their writers — and one day, a story chose me. It started as a quiet buzz in the back of my mind, a whisper that grew louder until I had no choice but to bring it to life on the page. That was the beginning of my journey as a writer.

I grew up in the heart of Nebraska — wide skies, unpredictable days, and a whole lot of character-building moments. Life wasn’t always neat, but it was full of lessons. The mess, the magic, and everything in between helped shape both the man and the storyteller I’ve become.

At first, I might come off as shy — I won’t deny it. But give me a minute, and you’ll see why people often call me a charmer. Once I open up, I’ve been told I’m pretty lovable — maybe even a little hard to say no to when I’ve decided you’re going to be my friend.

I’m married, I have two amazing (and slightly spoiled) dogs, and I take pride in being one of those “fun uncles”. Life’s a little wild, a little wonderful, and all of it feeds the stories I write.

If you're here, maybe a story is choosing you, too. So dive in — I’ve got a feeling we’re going to get along just fine.

A great fantasy with moral lessons about love and family values

These words from book sum up the narrative:
“We are the exception. I am a chimera wolf siren dragon. You are my mate. Both of us are blessed by fire and air the dragon part we share powers. Correct me if I’m wrong. The goddess of the sea also blessed you so you could be a siren without me being present. So, the way I see it we have everything we need.”

It took me some time to sense the unique world’s premise, but soon enough I could understand and enjoy the characters’ actions and dialogues. A world with an amazing history and enriched with dragons, wolfs, and mixtures in a form of chimera, along with goddesses and gods, devil, demons and prophecy, and yes, also special crystals for every aspect of life. Of all, Grandpa B caught my attention as a deep, round character with close ties to Austin.

The first part builds up the connection between Austin and his chosen mate, Dani. The existence of the Goddess Selene in their life beautifully wrapped their spiritual world.
And such an enjoyable text emphasizes the link between the two:
“Austin, each of these stones has a reason… This is a ruby for fire. Water the blue topaz. For spirit, I chose the white diamond. The blue sapphire represents me—the love and bond to you. Austin, my life is your life. My strength is your strength.” Such a bond allows the plot to generate an interesting twist with regard to Austin's parents and the journey Austin and Danny went through.

I enjoyed reading Austin’s songs and poems. An excellent writing skills to portray his deep feeling about his situation. Believe it or not, mating continues to exist in fantasy worlds, as well as preserving family values, and giving hope to our world.

Not the typical werewolf romance!
Once I picked up the book I couldn't put it down! I was instantly drawn into the amazing fantasy world of supernatural beings, Gods and Goddess'! From dragons to sirens and everything inbetween this story has everything a fan of fantasy could ever yearn for! The modern world in which Austin and Danny reside in that of wonder, filled with rich magical history and adventure. The story tugs at our heart strings at times and reminding us that we are all the same deep down. This story will have you laughing and crying along with all the loveable (And some not so loveable) characters!. As the plot thickens you won't be able to sit this book down! So many unexpected twist and turns will have you hooked! I can't wait to read the next adventures Austin and Danny will take us on! ♡

Excited to read the next one. Great story, amazing characters, love how so many different fantasy species had a part in this book.

I did notice quite a few simple grammar mistakes throughout which sometimes disrupted the flow.

Austin is not your normal wolf. He was abandoned at the age of 5, and never knew any of his history. This story is him finding out about his past. There are terrible things done in this book, but a lot of the characters redeem themselves. I can't wait to see where this series goes!
