Tales of Real and Dream Worlds

Rate this book
The surreal, the unreal, and the all-too-real intertwine in Tales of Real and Dream Worlds. Scenarios range from a family's entanglement in the 1938 War of the Worlds radio hoax to an otherworldly day in the life of a honey bee. From the carnivorous menace of The Statuary Cats to the poignant fate of the Brickworker, the emphasis here is on imagination of concept and skill of execution. Then we have The Jingle, a commercial ditty you will not be able to put out of your head. Ever. This is fiction that stimulates the mind. There are some dark passages, but only rare moments of violent imagery.

Love reading a collection of short stories sometimes as I am an impatient reader, if a book grabs me I will not sleep till its finished, so a book like this means at least I get some sleep at night - that is if I am not too scared thinking about nightmare cat statues!!! Great collection of stories, well written, a very good read!

It was quite the treat to receive this in the mail after winning a giveaway. And I'm very happy to say it's an interesting collection of stories bound together between 210 pages. Those terrible cats kept me up, haha..
All stories really capture your imagine and get you thinking throughout the day. Definitely worth your time!

First off, I should say I won this through a Goodreads giveaway. This is a fantastic collection of Stories. Extremely witty and smart I completely fell in love with the writing style of Bart Stewart. Every story held my complete attention, but The Jingle and all the Statuary Cat stories were my favorite. Definitely recommend this book.
