After spending six months helping the Albuquerque Chapter, I finally get to come home. I end up meeting my mate, only to screw up in a most epic fashion. Trying to get on her good side, I surprise her during a business trip.
Brooklyn
I travel extensively for my job. I love what I do and enjoy meeting new people. This most recent trip makes me rethink what I want to do. I need time for myself.
This is a standalone story, although better enjoyed if read in order. Contains language and sexual situations and may not be appropriate for those under 18.
Dax has known Brooklyn was his mate since the day of Phobie and Liam's wedding when he felt her before he met her. Brooklyn is an interpreter of sign language, she was initially hired by the MC to teach sign laughing to the MC so everyone could communicate with Avery who is deaf and Jasper's mate. But at that time Dax was at another chapter of the MC in Albuquerque, so he never got the chance to meet Brooklyn. All the girls got along so well with Brooklyn that she has become a regular hanging out with the girls. After all the crazyness that happened at the wedding, the girls all woke up in the hospital. Dax was at Brooklyns side the whole time she was unconscious. So he doesn't understand why Brooklyn, his mate is not talking to him, when she doesn't even know him. The rest of the girls, Phoebe, Avery, and Maddeline will not tell him why Brooklyn will not talk to him. So one night he is drunk, at the clubhouse, imagining Brooklyn, when a club girl proceeds to give him pleasure. He actually yells out his mates name "Brooklyn" when he gets his release. Of course right at that moment Brooklyn walks in and sees him and she is confused because she thought he wanted to be with her especially after the girls explained the mate thing with Paranormals, and she was just gettinguse to the idea of giving Dax a chance. But this is the second time she has walked in in him getting off with a different club girl. Brooklyn thinks this is a great time to have an out of town business trip, it gives her time to think, away from Dax. Unfortunately on her business trip with Senator Jensin and his team there is a new member aboard the jet, Charles Thurston. He instantly gives Brooklyn predator vibes. Especially the fact he will not take no, to his invitation to drinks or dinner on the trip. She ends up telling him she is married. He still will not leave Brooklyn alone. A few days into the trip she calls Phobie so upset and disturbed by Charles and his advances. Dax gets wind of this and flys out to protect his mate. Will Brooklyn be relieved to see her "husband" Dax, or will she still be upset about walking in on him with club girl's? Can Dax and Brooklyn finaly get on the same page, or will Charles and his advances come in between them? You will have to check out the book to find out. There are so many other twists and turns untill the very end of the book that you never see coming. A must read for those that loved the first 3 books in this series. But also know that this book and the rest in the series can be read as a stand alones. But why would you when they are so much better read together. I promise you will not be disappointed.
Dax has finally returned home after six long months helping the Albuquerque Chapter—but his homecoming doesn’t exactly go as planned. When he meets his mate, he manages to mess it up in truly spectacular fashion 🤦♂️. Cue one very determined fae trying to win back his woman—even if it means surprising her in the middle of a business trip 💼✈️.
Brooklyn loves her job and the constant travel that comes with it, but this latest trip makes her rethink what she really wants out of life 💭. Maybe it’s time to slow down… or maybe fate just threw a gorgeous, stubborn fae in her path to make that decision for her 😏💫.
There’s definitely more spice in this one 🔥🌶️—and these poor mates? They cannot catch a break 😩💔! Between emotional chaos, miscommunication, and sizzling tension, it’s a wild (and addictive) ride. A solid addition to the series with plenty of heat, heart, and havoc 💕🖤.
Ok, I still on the series, this is book 4 so well I'm still reading and liking while they are shirt stories hence the rashness of the love story thebsuthor has really found her grove in relation to surprising you with that twist at the end. I got 3 more books to go in the series a couple short and sweet ones but I dark say I will like those too
Dax knows his mate is Brooklyn, only neither have spoken since the ordeal at the wedding, but has Dax just screwed his chances with her, before they even started? When Brooklyn gets the creeps from a guy on her ASL job, it's Dax who comes to her aid but can they get back on track in being mates? Well written paranormal steamy fast paced, mated, MC romance.
