The fifth adventure in a brand new series from Mike Mackessy!
Jarod Walsh, former Texas Ranger, former US Marshal, is working as Special Officer for the governor of Texas. Jarod gets the warrants of the worst of the worst outlaws preying on the citizens of Texas. Jarod needs help. He enlists the aid of a former Confederate soldier who some may call an outlaw. Together they get their toughest assignment yet. The governor wants them to bring in the Feral Thicket Boys, run by Captain Ham. The captain and his thirty-five men are all Confederate soldiers; all of them refused to call an end to the Civil War. Even after the politicians and officers of the South gave their parole to the Northern Aggressors.
The captain and many of his men changed their names after the war. In no way did they change their way of life. The gang robs banks, stops stagecoaches, and rustles cattle and horses, until they cross paths with Calvin Wallace. Calvin also served under Captain Ham during the war. He was taken as a 16-year-old boy and forced to serve as one of Captain Ham’s guerillas.
This story follows both Jarod Walsh and Calvin Wallace as they strive to bring the Feral Thicket Boys in to face the law.
The final showdown brings both sides into combat. Will law and order prevail? Or will a gang with over two decades of experience prevail?
An exciting series of ongoing events that will definitely tickle your fancy!
Definitely another five star series by one of my favorite Movies Authors, as this very detailed story will keep you turning pages in an effort see how much these two guys will endure in their efforts for peace! Some of the most compelling storylines you will have the opportunity to follow, as these two special agents if the Governor go above and beyond in their efforts to bring justice to their areas! Too, the Author's outstanding character selections will definitely tickle anyone's fancy, both good guys and the bad! Definitely recommend this very detailed, and definitely easy to follow, series of ongoing western extravaganzas, from beginning to end! No slow downs in this one, guys and gals!!!😄
Good read, I will continue to read Mackerel along with my other writers! I have obviously some favorites, but as you might guess are all western writers! Dave Cochran
Far too many spelling and grammar mistakes.Spoils the flow of the story......!!! Otherwise a good story line only spoilt by bad spelling and misplaced words...!
