Hellfire Riders MC #4-6

The Hellfire Riders: Jack & Lily

Rate this book
Collecting the explosive second trilogy in the Hellfire Riders series, this box set contains the complete story of the only female member of the Hellfire Riders MC, and the dangerous warlord who risks everything for one night in her arms…

Betting It All
As the only female member of the Hellfire Riders, I’ve fought for everything I have. But now I’m going to lose it all…

One stupid bet made years ago is going to ruin me. I’d forgotten all about it — but the Riders’ warlord hasn’t. Now the club’s most dangerous member is determined to collect his winnings: a night in my bed.

But it’s not me that Jack Hayden wants. He’s been trying to get rid of me since I patched in. He thinks I’m weak. He thinks I’m vulnerable. The only possible reason he’s following through on this bet is to try and tear me down in front of our brothers. So I won’t let him get to me, no matter how much pleasure he gives. I’ll never crave his touch…

Risking It All
A month ago, I risked everything with a bet that should have made Jack Hayden mine. But now I think I’ve truly lost…

All my life, I’ve fought for everything I want. That’s earned me a place as the only female member of the Hellfire Riders MC. It’s given me thirty nights with the Riders’ dangerous warlord. It’s given me hope for so much more.

Yet when Jack abandons my bed before the thirty nights are up, the pain of fighting for more time in Jack’s arms just isn’t worth the risk anymore. Because I can’t expose any vulnerability, especially now that the Devil’s Hangmen are making a play for Rider territory—and Jack can lay my heart wide open so easily…

Burning It All
As the Hellfire Riders’ warlord, I’m willing to lay down my life to protect the club. But protecting the woman I love might destroy everything…

I’ve never known anything as good as holding Lily Burns in my arms. The only female member of the Hellfire Riders, she’s always fighting—and the last fight she won is bringing hell down on her head. But it’s not the Devil’s Hangmen that worry me. Because there’s power and money moving behind the scenes, and a target on Lily’s back…and I’ll do anything to make sure she’s safe, even if it means standing as her shield.

Even if it means losing her.

Kati writes the Hellfire Riders MC romance series and will be publishing her first New Adult novel, Going Nowhere Fast, with Berkley later this year.

About Our Series:

The Motorcycle Clubs series is for romance readers who want all the heat and emotion, but who don’t have all of the time. At this time, we are only publishing novellas — our intention is to provide readers with short (yet satisfying) MC romances. Sometimes we might continue one couple’s story over several novellas, but each individual novella will have a satisfying romantic resolution. Because they are short, we focus the stories on the eroticism and romance, and will be building the MC worlds as each series progresses.

4.5 You Just Fucked and Ran Stars ⭐

~Second Read. Loving Every Moment!

This was bloody awesome. The Hellfire Riders are addictive and hot hot hot. I said this about the first book in the series and nothing has changed with this couple. Jack and Lily were standout with plenty of intensity to keep you hot, bothered and riveted.

“Are you offering me a hate fuck, Lily?”

Lily is the only patched in female of the Hellfire MC. Everyday is a struggle having to prove she belongs. But instead of complaining, she's turned herself into a gorgeous badass that you'll have so much admiration for. Plus if anyone could melt Jack's iciness, it's Lily. It's a shame he hates her...

It’s where Jack Hayden belongs, too. I can’t argue with that. A better warlord isn’t going to come along. So I’ll keep on dealing with this endless ache and hope that, one day, he’ll grow tired of stabbing me.

Our hero Jack is a silent assassin. Even his brothers are weary of him regardless if he's loyal to a fault. Lily has always mistaken his protectiveness as disapproval but when he gets one shot to blow her mind within the sheets: the blinkers finally get lifted. It's a complete game changer.

"Nothing could stop me. I’ll have my thirty nights."

He’ll have a lot more than that. By the time the month is over, he’ll need me as much as I need him. He’ll ask for more.
I’m betting my heart on it.

With a territory war brewing in the background, it's not exactly the time for a romance between Jack and Lily. It may initially be just sex, yet you can't get past how adoring and loving these two are. It just wowed me every time. It was so honest, respectful and passionate. I loved these two together.

All the MC Club Book Stars

This was me while reading this book bundle:

description

Yup, that's right.

Not just just a fat kid eating cake, but a fat kid defying the force of gravity and throwing down some serious moves.

And THEN eating cake.

description

All I can say is I'm SO glad I stopped reading book #7 - cause I was lost and could tell I was missing a LOT, my bad - and came back to read 1-6 like this, because, well...

description

LOVE.

Especially this three book series.

Here are some things that created the LOVE.

1) Zoomie/Lily

I won't get into the nitty gritty of why, but let's just say I really related to Lily.

And no, it's not because me like the chick clam...

...although not knocking any boys/girls who do.

It's simply not my preferred...flavor.

description

It's because she's a woman trying to prove herself in a man's word.

And no, I don't mean the feminist existential world at large here, people.

I'm NOT a feminist and I'm NOT here to debate sexual equality in a workplace setting.

I'm just not that fucking deep.

description

TRULY.

I mean, quite simply, her being a tit-toting vagina in the dick swinging MC Club world.

Anygash, I like I said, I really related to her struggle of being a female in what's traditionally a male role and trying to prove herself to be "just as good."

Or as I like to call it:

WORKING TWICE AS HARD TO BE TAKEN HALF AS SERIOUSLY.

description

But I digress.

Anybitter, like I said, I liked how she handled herself and how she took care of business.

So many times, when an author is trying to make a female seem "strong," they end up making them come off like whiny fucking idiots who make retarded as fuck decisions that risk their lives in the supposed effort to "show everyone I can do it, too."

Or they make them SO fucking annoying in the name of "female empowerment," that, well...

description

Yes. Yes, it was.

2) I fucking adored Blowback/Jack.

Adored.

ADORED.

^^^See how I fucking bolded AND italicized that, homies?

That means I'm super duper serious.

Cause I mean, really, what a fucking badass, people.

He was like a boogeyman killing machine, with crazy fighting skills, oozing "don't fuck with me," and a total lack of remorse over doing what needs to be done and killing who needs to be killed.

Or put more simply:

description

Seriously though, I lurved him.

And I loved how he and Lily came together.

3) Badasses being BADASSES

I said this in my previous review for books 1-3, but I am nothing if not redundant, so I will say it again.

I LOVE that this club is a REAL FUCKING CLUB.

They don't talk about being badasses and yet never DO anything badass.

And they aren't supposed badasses who somehow keep having their shit raided, their people killed, and their ladies kidnapped.

Ahem, THIS was a book that came to mind off the top of my head, if you fancy an example of what I'm saying.

Something else that I really dig about this series so far is that they have the characters be sexual enough and in an environment that's sexually "deviant" enough, i.e., public sex, tag-teaming, that it feels like a true MC Club...and yet it's done in a manner that doesn't make you view your main characters as being disgusting, cheating, walking STDs.

So yay.

description

Other than that, I just really loved this thing as a whole.

And I can't WAIT to get back to #7 and REALLY appreciate what's going on.

And on that note...

not to be dramatic but this series single handedly saved my soul on a visceral level. Like I would go to bed blushing thinking about Jack, or out in the street and giggling, GIGGLING?? About something that Jack said—JAIL.
till now saxon was my favorite but Jack just knocked him off number one or atleast they are a tie because goddamn I love this man. I would have fictional kids for this man. the filthy shit I would do for him? CRIMINAL.
he is essentially the club’s problem solver iykyk. He gets shit done and taken care of. The machine. The warlord. Grown ass grizzly men are scared of him. But him with Lily? I can’t y’all. He is a simp. An absolute adorable simp that made me scream. The way he would carry her around???? The way he says “Lily, I will belong to you.” GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE.
you know I love me a strong woman. And Zoomie (Lily) is exactly that. Strong as hell, smart and so filled with pride, worked her ass off to prove herself and earn her place. And fights hard for everything in life. She is not used to someone like Jack who just wants to give her endlessly. Love and care are foreign to her and him working on his issues trying to understand her. This is how women should be treated. How he respects her and treats her like she hung the moon? Okay I am tearing up, time to go.

19472/10. Iconic. Legendary. Will never be the same.

Betting It All: In this book, the story started anew. Well, not exactly anew, the MC story continued with a new threat on the horizon and a new couple. It was the not-yet-couple, Lily and Jack, I'd longed to read about. And they were amazing and imperfectly perfect together.

Risking It All: Oh my God, Lily and Jack are the best badass couple I know! Is it too weird I want to live in their world instead of my own real one? No? I didn't think so either.

Burning It All: Lily and Jack (or Zoomie and Blowback—I love their call signs, by the way!) could do no wrong. They are two badass screw-ups with tender hearts. I was so enjoying their relationship dynamics I totally forgot about the imminent threat to Lily's life, so it kind of surprised me (in a good way) when it came into play in the story.

So, here's the deal. I read all three of these as one book as a bundle on KU and it's definitely my favorite. It was SUPER HOT, but the conflict between them was so richly developed and I loved it a lot. I think any time a woman fights so hard to be part of a man's world, I'm there for it. And this was chef's kiss perfect.

CW: all the typical bullshit you get in these MC romances. These are firmly antiheroes and vigilantes out there administering their own brand of justice.

These two idiots...
My heart doesn't even know what the fuck to do with them.
They're so stupid and I adore them.
Especially because this was exactly what I wanted in an MC romance.
Normally I hate this genre. So grimy and misogynistic. The men are grunting, fucking, foul-mouthed blokes and the women are basically available holes with no brains and a propensity for doing stupid shit that entails the biker cavemen to rescue them.
It's all very... *dry heaves*
Not my thing, but this? Jack and Lily? They are soooo my thing.
She's tough and soft and smart and lovely and she can fly fucking planes and I love her. Lily fucking Barnes forever ❤️
And Jackson? That beautiful psycho with his undying fucking love for Lily and doing his best to respect her and defend her and love her all at the same time. ... Excuse me, I gotta swoon for a second.
...
Now, put them together?

You want chemistry? Look no further. You want breaking down of walls? They're your couple. You want hot as fuck bang sessions? Need I say it?
...
I read this too fucking fast.
When will I learn not to read great things at ward speed?
For the love of all that's literary, when?!

Lily has such an attitude about trying to prove herself as a woman in an MC that she just calls more attention to herself. She and Jack have an “enemies to lovers” feel even though I think it’s all on Lily. I don’t think Jack sees her as an enemy at all. But Lily is so prickly.

I have been binge reading this entire series. And it’s awesome! I was excited about Jack and Lily’s story as soon as I knew it was next. I thought Lily was kick ass in the first three books, and she didn’t disappoint in the badass department. Jack (Blowback), is the silent but extremely dangerous type which is incredibly hot.

I loved that we got some intense action from both Jack and Lily, along with some crazy hot sex. I was a little surprised at how sensitive and self conscience Lily was the entire time with the comments the guys would make. After a while I would think someone so confident would just flip them the bird and not think twice about it. For the most part though she was a force to be reckoned with.

Jack was exactly as I’d pictured. The sexiest most cold hearted killer ever. His only soft spot? Lily. He could be my protector any day. He understood that for Lily, the role of trying to be her protector/shield would only end their relationship. Because she was so touchy when it came to what the club thought about her. With a heartbreaking history, he tries his best to decipher her needs and at times, has to fight to keep her. Heart of gold under all those muscles.

The ending (don’t worry I won’t spoil it), was sort of anticlimactic. You think there is going to be this big plot changing event, but it isn’t. Which I guess sets up the next book in the series to pick up where this one left off. Still, the book does not lack in the action department. There is plenty to get your blood pumping.

Again I loved all of the supporting characters. Can’t wait to read Gunner and Anna’s Story next! I am also salivating for Stone’s book now. One of the best MC series I have read I would definitely recommend it. This entire series is free with kindle unlimited! So get your binge on it will be worth it!

HEA, duel POV (though you have to wait till almost 50% for Jack chapters to start), no cheating, trigger would be child abuse (talked about not described in detail).

The Good: Jack and Lily

The Bad: Not memorable

I really had high hopes for this book and I do remember liking it when reading but I straight don't remember it. I read it about 3 weeks ago and poof, gone from my memory. That is just a bummer. Tells me that there was nothing new or special about this book.

I did like that Lily was a bad ass and didn't take shit from anyone.

Features hewn by the God of Testosterone … ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Previously published as a trilogy, but all of the volumes have been placed together into one volume as the second story in the Hellfire Riders MC series.

While this could probably be read as a stand-alone, I do NOT consider it to be one. There are too many reoccurring characters and detail that would be missed if not read in series order. Those contribute to the excellent world building and enhance character development. Plus there are previous scenes referenced that cannot be properly recapped within the current story.

⛔️ Contains scenes, themes and content that will be difficult for sensitive readers. A high-level list is included below.

** If you have not read any of the series, the following may contain spoilers. **

I just love a gritty, rough, dirty, damaged anti-hero romance, with lots of action. Jack’s and Lily’s, aka Blowback and Zoomie, story delivers all of those things and more because you get two anti-heroes! Both Jack and Lily are interesting characters on their own, but put them together and I think my Tablet exploded. As I shared previously, I love MC, mafia, Bratva, etc. series, but not all of them are created equal. This series is definitely shaping up to be one of my favorites that I will go back and read again. Can’t wait to start the next one!

I mention the following for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow. There are a few grammatical issues comprised of missing and extra inserted words. There is also an issue with consistency in regards to possessive words that end in a ‘s’. I uploaded my notes to goodreads for anyone interested.

Here is a little bit about how the story begins:
Lily, aka Zoomie, is still dealing with the injury sustained towards the end of the first story, but it has healed enough for her to resume training. She has an early flight the next morning and is ready to call it a day. Before she can hit the shower, Valentine, one of the three that left when Lily patched in as a prospect and returned when the two clubs were folded together, challenges her to a rematch in their ring. Apparently he never got over having a ‘girl’ beat him.

Lily about had it handled were she could wait until another day, but Jack, aka Blowback and the Bain of her existence, tells him to stand down because she is still healing. Now she has to fight Valentine, because if she doesn’t, it could jeopardize her position in the club. The others will think Lily isn’t capable of having their backs when she gets an injury, or even her period. It is just another cut down from Jack. Not a surprise, he has been doing it for years, but it still hurts like getting stabbed in the gut.

Widowmaker, the Old Timer that Lily wishes was her father, basically warned her with a look not to make this fight too quick. It wouldn’t be good to humiliate Valentine, so she needs to keep this amicable and let him swing a few times. Then they bump fists and the match begins. Valentine starts just like she expected with a jab, but then he steps in and throws a haymaker right at her injured arm … WTF?! He is trying to actually hurt her! So Lily changes her stance, uses his momentum against him and tosses him to the mat.

Lily knows she messed up immediately. She tries to play the win off, but Valentine is very angry and comes up swinging. Before he can actually touch her, Jack and Gunner enter the ring and stop it. Lily is pissed even though it is literally their job in the MC. She heads to the shower, but Jack is upset too and follows her into the room. He wants to know why she didn’t stand down when he gave her an out! Jack doesn’t understand the position he put her in!

Lily can’t deal with Jack right now. He draws her like no one ever has before, but that just makes it easier for him to hurt her like no one ever has either. Lily starts to strip off and tells him to get out. When she exits the shower, after fantasizing about him taking her hard, he is still there. Before she knows it, Jack has her backed into the wall with his hand in places she dreamed about. Before she can finish, a prospect interrupts to let them know about another MC in the parking lot. To be continued later …

⛔️ Contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including, but not limited to: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, consensual multiple partners (I.e. MF, FF, MM, MFM+, FMF, etc.), voyeurism, exhibitionism, breath play, biting, etc.; violence throughout typical of the MC genre such as kidnapping, murder / death, torture, assault, fighting, betrayal, blackmail, coercion, human trafficking, mental, physical and sexual abuse of children and adults, drug use and distribution, gun running, arson, loan sharks, etc.

Kati Wilde knows how to write emotionally tortured MMCs. I could have not been more into Jack. It’s true that he took advantage of a silly bet and that could have majorly backfired on him. But he and Lily just needed an excuse to put their explosive chemistry to good use. Jack doesn’t think he’ll ever get more than this one night with Lily, whereas she has her own struggles with knowing whether she can trust him. He has to learn how to have her back instead of inserting himself into situations she’s handling, as well as believe that he’s worthy of more. I wish there wasn’t so much emphasis on how messed up he was. It tipped into casual ableism and I wasn’t sure what the story was suggesting about his mental state.

Lily was a fierce badass. She fought for her place in the club and she fights for Jack to believe in what they have. But she’s not used to not having to deal with everything on her own. They both have to adjust to what being in a relationship is like. I loved watching their partnership develop. This carried me through all the stuff with rival MCs that started feeling repetitive. By the time I got to the third novella, I was more than ready for these two to get their HEA. Leave them alone already! Let the next couple in the series deal with the Hangmen. But that’s the difficulty of these box sets—people reading the novellas one at a time as they released probably didn’t mind as much. Issues are more glaring when you’re reading them all at once. This was still much better than most “trilogies that should have been one book.”

Note: this is a pretty white cishet world. Lily is bi but I can’t recall any other LGBTQ+ characters . At times, her characterization seemed like it could fall into fetishization or at least stereotypes of bi people. Some of that is countered, some of it isn’t.

Characters: Lily “Zoomie” is a tall bisexual white MC member, helicopter pilot, airfield mechanic, and ex-military. Jack “Blowback” is a white MC warlord, mechanic, and ex-military special ops. This is set in Pine Valley, OR.

Content notes: FMC threatened with rape by captors, sexual assault during pat down, MMC’s father was sexually and physically abusive, MMC killed his father at age 14 (self-defense and to protect brother from being abused), abduction, drug assault (sedative), murder, attempted murder, arson, bomb, fistfight, recent gunshot wound, broken bones (ankle, ribs, fingers), sexism (countered), misogyny (countered), biphobia (countered), homophobic slur (countered), slut-shaming (countered), ableism around mental illness, internalized ableism (MMC believes he's mentally/emotionally broken), past death of FMC’s father (accident), past military, FMC’s father was sexist and emotionally abusive (refused to let her join the Riders), FMC’s mother was emotionally neglectful, secondary character dying of cancer, bodyshaming by FMC’s mom, past rescue of trafficked women, FMC is estranged from mother and MMC’s brother and mother estranged themselves from him, past group home (MMC’s mother relinquished rights after he killed dad), MMC broke into FMC’s house for recon (she doesn't mind), body scars (bullet, knife, burn), unsafe sex practices (condomless sex without discussion of pregnancy or STI prevention), dubious consent, on page sex, bondage, biting, public sex, masturbation, alcohol, inebriation, hangover, Vicodin (used as prescribed), homophobic insults, gendered pejoratives, gender essentialism, ableist language, mentions of human trafficking (rival MC), mention of MMC’s brother’s past incarceration (sold prescription medication), mention of helitack team who died fighting a wildfire, mention of FMC’s father bodyshaming mother (past)

Overall I enjoyed this book the more it continued. I think at times it suffered due to its original format (being serial novellas - I think?) And thus the pacing was a little wobbly at times. Not to forget the urge to skim due to the repetitive recap of events or who's-who sort of inner dialogue from the MCs. That felt super unnecessary considering these installments were already condensed.

And then there was the way Jack's awful childhood was introduced. I understood the way Jack explained things to Lily in a matter of fact sort of way and how it was more a simple retelling of his life. But it felt odd for it to be so simplified, I guess. Because it was quite a few huge life changing sort of event(s) for him and even though he had come to terms with it and accepted it as part of his past it felt a little weird how casually it was explained or discussed when it was brought up.

Aside from those annoying issues I liked it. It took a little while to warm up to Lily, and more time not to smack her upside the head for her unfair assumptions and subsequent treatment to Jack because of those assumptions. But I did like how she figured those hiccups out on her own fairly quickly and wasn't afraid to go right to Jack and air her worries.

Jack...sigh. Jack was my favorite sort of hero. All quiet and broody and uber protective of those he loves. Particularly Jack's lethality being a huge detriment to anyone around him and making him seem antisocial to anyone but Lily. He deserved all the happiness in the world and I loved watching him find that with Lily.

Jack and Lily

Sometimes, I really like watching people handle real world problems. This is one of those times. It's still fantasy but the two main characters are super tough (and messed up from shitty childhoods). They spend most of the book working through their own dysfunctions which was actually enjoyable to watch.

Him
“He’s not a cocked gun waiting to go off or a bomb ready to blow; he’s the patient assassin who knows exactly how to use every lethal weapon in his possession.”

Her (quote from the previous book)
“... Lily is like a Viking. A Valkyrie. Blonde and tall, and built like an Olympic volleyball player.

And

“...So many guys in this tavern think they’re pretty badass, but Lily outbadasses most of them.”

There's just so much to like here. I appreciate all the great insight into misogyny, like the one that leads to the public spice scene. I appreciate the distinction between having a person's back and being a shield. I appreciate “the shithead factor” that keeps tripping the MMC’s plans up. I appreciate the MFC’s fight scenes. The world building is great, the relationship building is great, the characterization of each character is great.

Lastly, my favorite inner monologue from the MFC,

“I turn heads. Partly because I’m tall and partly because I’ve got my dad’s sharp features and high cheekbones combined with my mom’s lush mouth. Guys like it, girls like it—hell, even I like it. I’d screw myself in a hot second.”

Title: Hellfire Riders 4-6
Author: Kati Wilde
Publication Date: December 1, 2014

Betting It All
Book 4
4 Stars

Lilly, the only female patch holder for the Hellfire Riders, has spent her life proving she deserves that patch. First her father and now all the men of the club; but Blowback’s approval means the most.

What Lily sees as Jack’s disapproval I think is him trying to keep a tight lid on his desire for her. We don’t know much about him from the first three books, only that he’s one of the best at was he does.

Another threat looms and the Riders are once again fighting for their territory while Jack & Lily navigate the change in their relationship.

Risking It All
Book 5
4 Stars

I hereby nominate Lily and Jack’s parents for Worse Parents Award, it’s a wonder they don’t have more emotional scars than they do.

There is so much love between them I don’t know how the other doesn’t see it.

The Hangmen prove they will stop at nothing to take over and the fight scene is amazing.

Burning It All
Book 6
3.5 Stars

Only problem I had was the resolution of Red Eye and the Hangmen felt incomplete and a little rushed.

Okay this was great. First off, it's another trilogy of MC novellas where the MC is full of hot cavemen (that's what I'm here for) but the heroine is a feminist. In this case, the heroine--Lily--is the only female member of the MC, also a vet, which means she's spent her whole life dealing with sexist jerks. She's good at it.

The hero is my absolute favorite kind of hero--he's an amoral killing machine, a sort of hollowed-out husk of a human being with a chunk of charcoal where his heart should be. Except he's madly in love with the heroine and it's great.

The set up with the bet sounds like it's going to be awful except everything about it is perfect. A big part of what makes this spin on the 'I won you in a bet' trope so great? This time it's not two dudes betting about getting the heroine into bed. The heroine is in on the wager. It's such an old-school trope and I guess anything motorcycle club related will have some old-school trappings, but it really gives new life to an old trope.

Lily - known to most as Zoomie - earned her patch and her place in the Hellfire Riders. Despite having to fight every day against the daily misogyny around her - she loves the club and her life. Even if Jack - or Blowback - doubts her every step of the way.

Holy moly - I loved this. First of all - MC romance where the heroine is IN THE CLUB. Zoomie is badass - beyond badass. Think Lara Croft meets GI Jane and Black Canary. And I love her. Jack is soooo quiet and you don't see hi coming. And neither does Lily! He has serious crap in his background (TW: family dynamics and violence) but he wants Lily and will take whatever he can get.

This is also a great example of heroine not a victim. Lily goes through stuff - and takes zero shit about it. She is tough as nails and still a sexy heroine and deserves that love.

I highly recommend reading all three as a bundle for PEAK pining, heartwrenching beauty, and sexiness.

Let me start off by saying I am not a fan of MCs, novellas, or FMC who fight men and try to do everything a guy twice her size can do.

That being said this worked!!! The novellas worked because Jack and Lily had history so no time was wasted developing their story. The MC was a main part of the book for some reason it didn't bother me. Zoomie (Lily) had a vulnerable side as well that she shared. She also had female friends, knew she was smoking hot, could wear a dress with the best of them.

Jack breaks your heart you love him so much...

Spoiler.....

The story line itself is great but the hardcore sex felt gratuitous. The g/g seemed more for the male readers. Don't get me wrong I love a hot sex scene but the dirty talk in this just seemed to be porn level and repetitive. While the smutty scenes were graphic they were not particular hot. However the love those two shared was!

I want to be like Lily when I grow up...

You’ve never read MC romance like this! Sexy, fast-paced and, did I say sexy?

The characters are part of what makes this story stand out.

Jack is a sweet Hero, alpha, dangerous and protective. With everyone else, he’s scary and reserved, but with Lily, he’s tender and affectionate. Jack has some hang ups from the past that give him some insecurities about being lovable at times. Luckily, Lily is probably the strongest heroine I’ve ever read. She’s able to love him and not let him run away when he thinks she couldn’t want him to stay.

As always, Kati Wilde’s writing is flawless. There are no typos, grammar issues or structure issues. This is top quality reading material that sucks you in to Jack and Lily’s world.

The complete story of Jack and Lily can stand alone and has a HEA.

Another sexy and intense story from the Hellfire Riders. It was gritty, violent and action-packed. Lily and Jack were super hot together. Jack was protective, but he listened and respected Lily knowing she had a hard time being the only female member of a 1%ter motorcycle club. Lily held her own and she was badass. I thoroughly enjoyed their story and plan to continue with the series.

Lily (Zoomie) and Jack are one of my absolute all-time favorite couples. When I am in the mood for an MC story, this is one of my go-to's for a reread. Super fast past paced and super hot. This is technically a 3 novella collection, but can be read as one story.

Lily is a badass who just wants to live her life. It just so happens that the life she wants involves being a member of the Hellfire Riders MC. Jack seems terrifying, but underneath all that scary is a guy doing his best to protect the people he cares about. He wants Lily - has for years. But he doesn't think she would ever give him a chance.

Lily and Jack both have to figure out how to love each other when neither of them know how AND not let their relationship change their standing in the club. Their chemistry is off the charts hot and may actually set the pages on fire.

cw: lots of MC violence

So good!

I read this series out of order. I started with Losing it All, which is the last book which I absolutely ADORED, then went back to beginning of the series. I wasn’t a huge fan of Saxon and Jenny’s books (books 1-3). There was very little story to those books, they were pretty much just erotica (especially book 2). So after reading books 1-3, I wasn’t expecting much from books 4-6. But they were way better than books 1-3. I loved Jack and Lily. Jack was a badass with a tragic past, and Lily was his equal. I love a strong female character who doesn’t need a man to rescue her and Lily was just that! I also really liked the background story, it was engaging and well developed.

One of the best MC romances ever! A truly badass FL & the ML was even better; supporting his woman & so strong that he wasn't intimidated by his woman's strength. This was 3 novellas which I read straight through and it made the reading so much better. I really enjoyed not only the relationship & how it developed & became stronger with some truly hot sex, but also included the club. Just a well written good MC which is so rare. I hope this author keeps giving us really good books like this, but not sure she will, or go the way of alot of authors - 2 or 3 good books, and then garbage. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

A kick-ass female biker, hot sex, and some action

I just love Lily Burns, the woman who fought long and hard to earn her membership with the Hellfire Riders. And the one man strong enough to take her on. It’s fun watching them fight and lose against their own fears of falling in love — and having some great sex along the way. Three cheers for a fierce bi woman too! The ongoing story about the rival bikers and the cartel backing them is great too. Will we ever see The Cage? Will our heroes rescue folks forced to fight in it? Looking forward to more stories about these lovable outlaw bikers.

These books go down so fast, but I’m getting invested in some of the side characters stories, and I feel like I’m going to end up binge reading the whole series. I'm enjoying this! I first got interested from the last book in the series, so I can tell I’m gonna have to read all of them to get there.
Same thing as the Saxon and Jenny stories, these are short, sweet, crazy sexy. There’s stuff happening in the background with motorcycle club drama but I don’t care because everyone is hot and very very horny.

AMAZING!!!

Lily is my favorite FMC of all time. She is so badass, and I'm crushing so hard! I completely understand why it's just her on the cover. Jack is a nice snack, but Lily is the whole meal.

I love the plot twists, and how the miscommunications are so authentic. A lot of books center around some huge event happening to cause drama, but IRL, it can just be fear and abandonment issues. I really enjoy how realistic their relationship is and how normal their problems ended up being.

This fucking book. I just loved Jack and Lily so much. I've read a lot of MC romance (and *cough* fanfic), and this is one of the few instances I've ever seen of a badass heroine who's just aweome instead of unlikable. Kati Wilde threaded that needle so delicately.

And then JACK 👏🏻 FUCKING 👏🏻 HAYDEN. I just cannot tell you how much I loved this character. Another well threaded needle - his horrible childhood left him pretty fucked up (which he regularly acknowledges) but he didn't slide over into sociopath territory.

And the two of them together were just *chef's kiss*.
