Three sizzling-hot stories from New York Times and international bestselling author Elle Kennedy!

When a SEAL goes after your heart, don’t put up a fight. They don’t like to lose.

Heat It Up

One minute broody SEAL Becker is responding hell no to a pesky reporter’s interview request. The next, he’s trapped in an elevator and calming Jane’s confined-space panic attack—with a kiss. Once he caves in to the fierce, unexpected need, there’s no turning back. Beck’s not looking for long-term, but a fling with a redhead with a brutally honest mouth and a body made for sin? Abso-effing-lutely…

Heat of the Night

When her long-time fiancé breaks off their engagement, Annabelle sets out to prove she’s not a prude. Only problem is, her list of sexual fantasies winds up in the wrong hands, and now she’s got a sinfully sexy SEAL offering to help check off every last wild and wicked item. Resisting Ryan is futile, but protecting her heart? It’s necessary…

The Heat is On

Matt thinks he’s a bad boy…until he finds himself face down on the floor during a bank robbery, arguing with a sexy blonde who wields her sharp tongue with surgical precision. Savannah eagerly follows the adrenaline rush she feels with Matt to the nearest bed, but when tangled sheets begin to feel like tangled heartstrings, commitment shy Savannah’s first instinct is to cut him loose. Problem is, Matt’s not going anywhere…

Warning: Contains feisty heroines, threesomes, and dangerously hot Navy SEALs that give the phrase “going commando” a whole new meaning.

3 Star Novellas

This continues my Elle Kennedy backlist reading adventure. It was fun and sexy, but there were a few character descriptions that just felt…off. There’s a lot of ex-wife bashing in the first novella. There’s also a lot of undescribed character motivations for not wanting a relationship.

It’s fine. If you want a side of ménage in your romance novels, Nikki Sloane is still the paragon.

3.5 stelle!

I liked these 3 stories better than first three
The last two were super hot. Again, these are fast, sexy and just for fun type reads.

Like the first collection, the stories are all quick, easy reads. There's a bit more of an effort at character development in each story, though the constant fear of commitment stuff gets old. Would probably be a three star if not for the constant use of the word 'slut' (even though it's trying to be anti-slut-shaming, it just gets so old).

Heat it Up – These two couldn’t seem more opposite, but as they got to know each other, and with a little growth on their part, they fit together perfectly!
Heat of the Night – The snark and banter was awesome between these two! Real emotions take a little bit more self-awareness, but once it happens, the HEA can begin!
The Heat is On – These two are perfect for each other, but it takes a while for them to get on the same page. The heat between them only feels right once the emotions come into play, then it is steamy!

Hot & heavy.

Genieten.

Kennedy is mijn guilty pleasure.

lots and lots of male testosterone for sure. These stories are of some of the hot male characters to the first book, Hot and Bothered. It follows their demanding Alfa lives and their happily ever after.

Three more short reads about sexy SEALs.
Heat it up- Becker is having a time. First going through a divorce. Then getting injured on a mission and needs physical therapist. When Jane approaches him wanting to interview him he says no, while she tries to convince him the elevator gets stuck.
Heat of the night-Annabelle has been dumped by her fiancé so she goes to stay at a friends apartment. She writes a willing list for her former fiancé then goes to bed. Ryan goes to his casual fuck buddys apartment but discovers Annabelle instead. In his rush to get dressed and leave he grabs her willing list.
The heat is on- Savannah and Matt meet during a bank robbery where they crack jokes before Matt saves the day. When he asks her out she turns him down. Fate brings them back together but she just wants a fling and he wants more.
These take no time to read and are worth it for the spice. They are repetitive but it doesn’t really bother me.
Overall book ⭐️⭐️⭐️

2 stars - just ok. I'm really glad I started this series in the middle, with the first full-length novel because the novels worked a lot better for me than the novellas; the novellas all seemed sort of like the same story with different character names.

heat it up (original #4) with becker and jane
heat of the night (original #5) with ryan and annabelle
the heat is on (original #6) with matt and savannah

were all fine, but given that I literally just read them and I can't 100% recall the details of any of them because they're all blurring together, they basically all get 2 stars. EK's writing overall is good; these just got repetitive for me.

There are three novellas, and they're all very hot and steamy. While all can be read alone, they feature members of a SEAL team, so characters who had their own novellas do make appearances in others.

This book includes three individual stories (previous three reviewed here). Lets get straight to it. Also, just so I don't have to write it every time, all the men are Navy SEALs.

1. Heat It Up
Becker and Jane get stuck in an elevator, and I'm totally fine with it. What started off with elevator sex, then continued into a fling. Except both liked each other too much for it to stop there. And I could totally see why they liked each other. Becker was a great guy, if a little confused about what he wanted with his future romantic relationships.

Jane was awesome. I kinda love Jane. She was fun and bold and knew exactly what she was doing and what she wanted. This was one of those special cases where the romance was driven not by the guy chasing the girl, but by equal contribution on both parts. Well, maybe Jane contributed more, which just makes me love her more because girls who take initiative are awesome.

Overall, a very fun read which a great female protagonist.

Rating: 3.75 Stars

2. Heat of the Night
Annabelle's fiance breaks off their engagement because he thinks she's a prude. So naturally, she makes a list of things she's interested in doing to prove him wrong. Except the list lands with Ryan after he lands in her bed, thinking she's someone else.

Annabelle is beyond embarrassed but Ryan is very interested. He offers his help in completing the things off the list. There are a lot of them and they're all very hot. And between completing their fun tasks, they get to know each other. They know their time is limited because Annabelle is only in town for a few weeks but the time they do have is great. Their relationship is very sweet, and funny. Ryan is a care-free guy. Not much can bring him down. Annie is also great. She's hella sassy and I love her. The two of them together are very entertaining.

I do wish we could've seen them spend a little more time together because honestly, the phrase "I'm in love with you" is starting to lose meaning at this point, with how quick everyone seems to say it. Overall though, great story.

Rating: 3.5 Stars

3. The Heat is On
Matt and Savannah meet during a bank robbery, both making fun of the robbers. Matt likes her and since neither of them seem to be interested in a relationship, things are good. A short fling and then they go their own ways. But Matt starts to want more and things get complicated.

This was not my favourite of the stories. Not my least favourite either. I enjoyed Matt and Savannah's conversations. They have chemistry and Matt's resilience when it came to getting Savannah to go out with him, that was cute. I also liked the ending. It's just, Savannah was a little too insensitive for my taste. She said that not everyone understood her sense of humour, and I didn't. Also, there was something she did near the end that bothered me. It felt douche-y.

It was a good read overall, I just liked the previous two better.

3,5 estrelas!

Heat It Up (3,5/5)

Heat of the Night (4,5/5)

The Heat is On (3,0/5)

Desculpa, but I call bullshit.

Good for them?

3 Super Hot Novellas. Individual Reviews For Each

Heat It Up

Told from both POVs
Short and sweet and oh so hot

Becker is fresh off a divorce. Jane is on an assignment. When their paths cross neither is looking for a relationship. Stuck in an elevator sparks fly and one thing leads to another. Both walk away assuming they will never see each other again but fate is a funny thing.

The question is, can they get past all the hang ups to be with each other so does the fact Jane reminds Becker a little too much of his ex wife mean they will never work?

Heat of the Night

Short and sweet
Told from both POVs

Annabelle and her long time boyfriend just broke up because according to him she is too vanilla. She heads to San Diego to lick her wounds and ends up meeting Ryan.

Ryan gets ahold of a list Annabelle made to prove she wasn’t a prude and offers to help her check all the items off her list and that’s when things heat up.

But when Annabelle’s ex fiancé tries to get her back and Ryan learns just how wealthy she is, he has to decide if he can handle it all. Feelings of unworthiness start to creep in and Ryan does something he has trained never to do. Retreat.

The Heat is On

Told from both POVs
My favorite of the three

Nothing like a bank robbery to bring two people together. Matt and Savannah are each at a bank when they are suddenly told to get down. Rather than scream and cry, Savannah makes sarcastic remarks about the robbers catching Matt’s attention. After Matt saves the day he asks her out and she promptly turns him down.

Fate though is a funny thing. A week later they cross paths again and Matt convinces Savannah to give him a shot. Both are in it for the fun of it, until they aren’t. Real feelings develop and Matt has to convince Savannah not to give up on him.

I don’t want to give anything away but I will say the last place you expect someone to declare their love is right after a threesome!

Funny and hot with just a touch of drama to keep things interesting.

HOT!!!! Elle Kennedy does it again.

I loved these set of novellas way more than the last ones. My imagination went wind reading these.

"Heat it Up" was Becker and Jane's story. I loved Becker as a character, he is anti-social but besides that he is caring. Jane is awesome as well because she has that fiery personality and is very blunt which is something I relate to. My favorite scene in the story was when they were stuck in the elevator which lead to hot sex.

"Heat of the Night" is Ryan and Annabelle's story. I loved Ryan as a character because he gave that personality of being very fun and outgoing but also having a big heart. The way that Annabelle and Ryan met was hilarious. I did manage to dislike Annabelle's family, they way they treated Ryan was very disturbing in my opinion. Also, there was a threesome again which I now know Im not a fan of. Besides that the story was great and funny.

"The heat is On" is Matt and Savannah's story. I really enjoyed Matt as a character, I loved how right in the beginning he was in the middle of a bank robbery and managed to take them all down. I liked Savannah as a character because she knew what she wanted and wasn't afraid to speak her mind but I did hate how she was anti-relationship the whole time. The only thing that pissed me off was how Savannah had a threesome in order to hurt Matt enough that he won't want a relationship with her.

In overall the stories were good and very hot and I can't wait to read more of this series.

There are three short stories in this physical copy about 3 teammmates and their romantic escapades and love lives.

Beckett is surly and says he’s not looking for long-term, but when the right-for-him girl comes along all bets are off. God I love a surly guy. I really enjoy getting to watch them be ridiculous and then realize the error of their ways.

Ryan is interested in flings not relationships, and when he finds someone who is looking for help being adventurous, he quickly volunteers to assist. That relationship is exceptionally fun to watch develop. Ryan and Annabelle are sassy and antagonistic but their vibes are amazing.

Matt isn’t interested in a relationship but he has a connection with someone he meets, of all places, in a bank robbery. She’s also not looking for a relationship, just a casual fling, but things quickly change for Matt and he’s out to prove to her just how good a relationship with him would be. I thought Matt was super sweet and the role reversal between the MMC and FMC was fun to see on the page.

Hot and Heavy by Elle Kennedy is bundle two in the Out of Uniform Series and contains the books 4-6 in the series.
Heat it Up:
Thomas Becker and Jane Harrison are like fire and water. He´s the controlled Leader of his NAVY SEAL Team and she´s the quirky journalist, wild and free. They clash together and their chemistry is through the roof high, but is that enough. Both are on different places in their lives and want different things.

Heat of the Night:
Annabelle was dumped in a nasty breakup and to prove she " has it " she wants a ONS. Nothing easier than a SEAL to convince to help her out.
And SEAL Ryan and his roomie Matt are only too willing to prove she can.

The Heat is On:
Matt O´Connor finds his match in the feisty florist Savannah Harte.

Hot and Heavy is a bundle of three kinky scorching hot novella previously released as singles, now in this fantastic bundle.
I was greatly entertained and give 5 stars.

Spoiler-Free Review:

I finally wrapped up the last book in the Out of Uniform series, and I loved it so much. The two novellas books have been such fun reads. You meet all the characters briefly throughout the other books in the series, but getting a short glimpse into how their relationships started has been a treat. Hot and Heavy follows Becker, Ryan, and Matt, and once again my only complaint is that these aren’t full length novels. I have loved the the men of this series, and it is right up there with the Off-Campus series for me. This book is an Adult Romance, 18+ for sexual content

Series of novellas about the same navy seal team. The banter was okay the stories were all approachable nothing bad happens no trigger warnings needed.

It’s my first foray into military ish rom coms. I’m not sure it’s my thing. Trying to make military people hot and likable feels like a stretch, maybe I’ve lived too long in San Diego, but yeah it doesn’t compute for me. I do like Elle Kennedy as a writer so I do keep reading her books.
