He might be king of the damned, but he'll be damned if he lets anything get in the way of his obsession...
Fallen king. That’s what they call me, even though I was once the most powerful celestial in the realm. I was wronged, my kingdom ruthlessly stolen from me by my own brother, but I can restore it.
She is the key to restoring it. I’ve watched over her all her life, waiting for the moment I could swoop in and claim her.
And now that it’s finally here, nothing will stop me. And if I’m being totally honest, I want her as more than just a key. She’s become my obsession, and she will be my bride.
Nothing will stop me.
Nothing but a new revelation that could rip all my years of planning to shreds.
Kenzie Skye writes short and spicy books with a touch of magic. Her stories are over the top and always feature obsessed heroes who will do anything for the women they love. Sign up to my newsletter on my website to get a free book.
Grooming girls isn't cute ♡ Especially when you stalk her from the day she was born, prevent her from interacting with boys and exploring her sexuality, keep her 'pure' for your selfish desires and then kidnap her away from the mortal world the exact minute she turns eighteen. This is just vile. I only read Fallen King because it was a short story available for free on google play books and I still feel robbed somehow. Give me my wasted half an hour back.
Loved this one!! An immortal hero who watches over the heroine her entire life and falls in love with her? Yassss, please!!!
Very safe. Hero has been celibate for longer than he’s known the heroine (something like 50 years or so). Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to the hero, giving him the gift of claiming all her firsts. No others, no cheating or abuse. Hea with epilogue
1) The MMC name was Julian, and I couldn't stop thinking of King Julian from Madagascar the whole time. 2) He called FMC "child" as they did the nasty 3) Nothing happened all 62 pages, and yet everything happened at once??? 4) They called the Cl*t a "Pearly Nub" 5) FMC is a V*rg*n. What a shock.
If you enjoyed this, I'm happy for you, but I just couldn't get past how much I cringed.
I loved this short story I have never read anything from this author the story was sweet I really loved Julian and how he cared about Amelia I hope to read more about them I can't wait for the next book I would recommended this book to anyone to read.

Bad worldbuilding, paedophilia (I'd say stalking a literal child counts), kidnapping, Stockholm syndrome (?), and just a general mess.
And of course she ends up pregnant. I predicted it the second he shoved his "massive member" into her "tight pussy" without taking any precautions whatsoever
I would give a hard zero if I could. There's no desire to like either characters. Julian literally groomed her, kidnapped her and "fell in love." It's a hard grab at trying to glamorize Stockholm syndrome. There's no character development either. No interesting story line. He's controlling and disgusting. Literally kept all human boys away from her to save her virginity to himself. Plus the book starts with him staring at her as she slept until the clock stroke midnight (her 18th birthday) so he could officially take her to his realm. He's a pedo point blank. So please don't read this. I only read it because it was a short story available in my kindle unlimited. ALSO it's poorly written with weird phrases, poor sentence structure & grammatical errors.
The deposed Celestial King and current king of the Nether World becomes obsessed with a newborn from Earth after a seer prophesies that she will be the key to him regaining his rightful place on the Celestial Throne. She isn’t; he doesn’t get his throne back in the end (bad seer), but it’s fine because he has watched her for 18 years and made sure to scare off all the boys so that he can have full access to the kissless virgin all men secretly crave. (What? lol why else would it be in every single dark romance if it wasn’t true? Next you will tell me not all women care about roided-up muscle men with 18 inch dongs!) What’s not to love about this super-weird centuries-old dude watching you for exactly 18 years and planning your life without your knowledge so you would have no real attachment to anyone and counting the days until you’re legal and then swooping in to steal you to hell to be his queen? I’m sure her foster parents and friends totally bought the “disappearing with a note” strategy and weren’t concerned at all. You know what, I guess as long as you’re set for life with a guy who really cares about you and lets you grow and become who you’re meant to be as you rule by his side—what’s that? Oh, he keeps you away from all his important meetings? Well, I guess you have a few things to learn first—oh, he doesn’t communicate and isn’t teaching you anything? Well at least he gives you time to pursue your own—oh, he wants to spend every waking minute with you? Er, well, at least you are a literal barely-legal teen who does not know what she’s missing—oh, at the first sign of trouble, he abandoned you out of nowhere with millions of dollars in your bank account and expects you to live alone forever? Great, that’s just great. Hopefully he doesn’t have any enemies who know exactly where to find you? Oh… he does? Woof. DTMFA, FMC!!

Amelia is protected and watched over by her silent guardian until she turns eighteen. On that fateful day, the King can claim her as his prize. Julian, the King, a celestial being ruling over the Nether World, has waited patiently, but now his time has come. The time to take her as his bride and regain his rightful throne in the celestial realm. Amelia is the key, but over the years, patiently waiting for the day to arrive, his feelings develop into much more. He wants to possess her, body and soul, but how will Amelia react to being swept away from everything she has ever known?
Fallen King is a steamy, spicy quick read. It enraptured me from the start, drawn in by the picturesque writing style. “ His voice skates over me softly like silk sheets sliding over my skin.”
The sparks fly between Julian and Amelia, and I couldn't put the book down. Kenzie Skye has created a believable environment with prominent characters and I did not want the story to end.
Amelia is an orphan and has no idea that she is the key to Julian getting his kingdom back from his brother. Julian has been watching, directing and meddling in Amelia's life since her birth because he knew he could use her once she turned 18 years old.
So Julian pretty much kidnaps her before anyone else can get their hands on her and brings her back to the underworld to keep her safe and explain things to her. The only problem? The more time Julian spends with Amelia, the more he grows to care for her, so much so that he's beginning to think that she might be more important than just using her as the key to get his kingdom back.
These two fell for each other hard and Julian wasn't expecting to have as strong of feelings for her as he did. Amelia finally feels like she has the family that she's always missed having being an orphan. When her ancestry secrets are finally revealed, it was a great twist.
King Julian has lost his kingdom. While Amelia was a baby a seer told Julian that Amelia was the key to regaining his kingdom. He has been behind the scenes for the last 18 years, pulling strings to protect her and his interests. However, over the years she has become More to him than just a key to regaining his demon kingdom. He wants her for her.
Once Amelia turns 18, she is fair game by universal law. He can them pull her into his realm.
Amelia has dreamt of Julian all her life, so she trusts him as her guardian angel.
Misunderstandings and mayhem ensues when a new prophecy comes from Julian’s Seer. This book covers a gamut of emotions as you read. From sugary sweetness to hot to giggles to tears, and more. I loved this book!
Received a copy of this book from Booksprout for an honest review.
Quick insta love Super age gap (cause you know he’s immortal and she’s 18). It’s a short blip of fantasy, with realms, the celestial and the netherworld. Amelia is an orphan who doesn’t know that she holds celestial blood and that she has had a guardian Angel of sorts watching her since birth. Julian knows Amelia is the key to getting his crown back but what he doesn’t account for is falling in love with her. It’s ok there’s not much story and there is a lot of repeating the same sentences ie Julian says something to Amelia and Amelia will repeat back like “I have been watching you”, “You’ve been watching me?” For a novella it makes for bland conversations.
As Amelia grew up there was always someone watching, waiting for the second she turned 18. Now that time is among her. This handsome stranger kidnaps her. He whisks her away to another realm, The Nether World. He's the King, Julian. Sometime over the years he became obsessed with his key. The key to taking his throne back. While Amelia is brave & sassy what fate awaits her? Will Julian get his throne, Amelia, her love or fall victim to those who wish to stand in his way? You'll love this book. There's love, action, and a bad boy that is everything a woman could want.

Honestly its great for only being about an hour read. Most people lack details and rush everything and it's hard to get into but despite this only being 7 chapters and an epilogue its still has good details to actually get invested into it. If the author actually put a bit more effort into the story and character building it could be a great book (longer) with possible room to make a second or trilogy out of it. If you're looking for something short and isnt just cringe writing for the lack of actual good story telling then this is the book for you.
If you're looking for a spicy short story about an immortal being watching a human child since they were born just so that they could kidnap them and sleep with them when they turn 18, then you're in the right place, because that's what this is.
It's written fine for what it is. Yes, there are plot holes and issues the size of Gilbralter, but it's only 60 pages.
There are some editing mistakes, like using the wrong name to refer to a character, but I got this for free, so I can't really complain too much.
At first it was a means to reclaim his kingdom; then, he fell in love. A sweet and steamy short story about obsession turning into pure love. Great character interaction! Wish it was longer.

Julian (H), King of the Nether World, has been stalking Amelia (h) all her life. She is the key to restoring him to the Celestial kingdom, but she's become more than that and he's now obsessively in love with her. And all he wants is to convince her to love him back. Hot and steamy quickie romance for the fallen Celestial and the young woman he wants to make his queen.
Julian rules the Nether realm after his brother took his celestial realm from him. His seer saw they key to regain control and that was Amelia. Amelia had a tough life this far and now that she turned 18 her whole life changes again. A great PNR, sweet, romantic, steamy , darkish and safe with a sweet HEA😍😍😍😍 and a whole bunch of drama(no OP) and twists and turns in between🥰
This book makes me feel gross. He watched her WHOLE life and waited til the MINUTE she turned 18 and stole her away. He admits to listing for her for YEARS. He keeps referring to her as a child stressing how young and pure she is . It was only 62 pages but I couldn't even get to 30 without feeling gross. No thanks .

I'm not going to lie, I went into this book half-expecting to hate it. Skye is a new author for me and after reading her Vampire's Kiss book I had low expectations for the other books I picked up by her. Surprisingly, I liked this book. The fallen celestial in here was quite the gentleman. He put in the work to woo his girl instead of forcing her to accept their union. Their romance was sweet.
A wonderful story about the depths one will go for when they find their true love. A beautiful romantic suspenseful story that is a great page turner. A very happily ever after ending.

Imagine being King but happening to wait for your queen to become a age. Good story and relatable characters. It's fast pace so it keeps you reading and just enough spicy scenes to not overwhelm you with it. It also has a hea as expected.
I simply can't. The hero keeps calling his love interest 'sweet child' 'my child' and other child combinations and honestly that's fkng gross and borderline disturbing.
Thank you author for ruining a potentially mediocre reading time.
I liked this sweet though a bit cliché story about an immortal who's come to claim a virgin he's watched for her whole life and who is the key to reclaiming his kingdom. Naturally, things don't go quite as planned but there's still an HEA so it all works out in the end.
This short story was so sweet! Great plot, sexy steam & an over protective obsessed man! Very quick read, little angst & HEA. Just the perfect amount of everything a short should have! Definitely a must read! Great job
Wasn't a whole fan of being constantly reminded that she just turned 18 & all, along w/the "child" every few paras but the celestial realm concept was good, though the whole demon/netherworld/king was a little ambiguous at times, but I made do. Nice short story.
