In a nutshell, this is an in-depth analysis of native and foreign language use by multilinguals and how they express and perceive emotions in their different languages. The authors of the study look at many variables and you can also find excerpts from relevant interviews with study participants. I consider this to be a definite must-read for any researcher studying the connection between languages known and used and expression of emotions, but also for teachers, psychotherapists and counselors working in multicultural contexts, multilinguals who want to better understand themselves and their use of their languages, etc.
