I’m done with River’s shit. She has this self-sacrificing attitude that pisses me off. When she is stalked and assaulted, she tells no one.
She’ll proceed to say shit like this:
It is. It is one of those stupid thoughts people have when they think they can take care of shit themselves. Like, girl, what are you doing! Tell someone. Anyone!
Instead of doing anything about this recurring situation, she decides,

She has no self-awareness, because she’ll say,

And again, I don’t really care for Kai. These past two books has set him up to be endgame and I’m not here for it.

A) Nate (yes I have given him a nickname...that's what you do to the love of your life, no?) is dirty and dangerous and has a secret! I love a man with a secret. My new favourite.
B) The Rich One who?
C) I love River. I want to be her bestie. She needs a girl bestie hug.
D) These Misses N.O. One people need to release every month because the suspense is killing me, how am I supposed to wait until August?!
And most importantly...
E) I now think Kai needs 2 giant porcupines covered in itching powder stuck up his bum. If River doesn't ditch him soon, I'm going to be very sad. Knob.
I know this is only book 2 but I frigging LOVE this series. It is everything. Drama, love, sex, heartbreak, secrets, laughs, romance...the list goes on and on.
If this is these authors writing new them genres and it's THIS good, then I need to know who the real them are to devour their other books. (But I probably have and don't even know it! How weird!)

Ok, so seriously, I need to know who N.O. one is, because the way they write together is magic, and I am under their spell. I mean I can’t stop reading this story! I need to know what is going to happen next for River and the men in her life.
The Kinky One picks up right where The Rich One left us, River is crushed by Kai’s news and decides that she needs to finally move on. She take a chance on Nathaniel, aka Candy Aisle Guy, and she has no idea what that chance will bring, when she realizes that he is so much more than he seems. And throughout it all is the underlying danger that just won’t seem to go away.
Listen the title of this book says it all, this book is kinky, it’s so hot you might have be careful you don’t melt your kindle. This series is just addictive, I am invested in these characters and this world. The way the authors paint a picture is so visual I feel like I’m laying in a backyard on Staten Island with the smell of weed in the air.
You must read these in order, otherwise you are going to miss out on so much, so start with “The Rich One” and don’t stop until you have to. I know that’s what I’m going to do!

I went into the first book in this series having zero clue what it was about, just knowing that I needed to read that one before picking this one up. I am 100% invested in this kinky dark story, and coming up with my own theories on whom certain people are and what's really going on. This second book of the series was so much better than book 1, in my opinion, but still as dramatic and heart-stopping. Can't wait for book 3!!!

So hooked.
Wow, this series has more depth with each book. This one had me in my feels a few times. I really want River (FMC) to have more in life and when I think she is getting it…bam cliffhanger. Side note: Nathaniel is total book boyfriend material for me, I like The Kinky One! Off to read book 3.

I don’t know where to start, especially to not give any spoilers! Book 2 of River’s story pulled me in so fast, I didn’t move the last 3-4 hours since I started it. I absolutely love this series and the stomach dropping twists, mysteries, and absolute tenacity that takes place. The 🌶 🌶 🌶 🌶 was on point, and I’d probably slip and call a certain someone Daddy.
River is a complex and stubborn woman, to a fault, and I have a weird time deciding if I’m in awe of her confidence or ticked at her decisions/thought process. If she doesn’t let someone in soon she’s going to finally reach a breaking point. I’m so glad some things that upset me last book were addressed and cleared mostly up this one, but there’s still a ton unknown about the stalker and the last 5% of the book. Um, excuse me? That cliffhanger, which brought up SO many new questions, was kind of rude. Can we get The Filthy One yet? Seriously, I can’t wait to get it preordered!

Totally left me wanting more
Well I devoured book 2 very quickly.
I read book 1 earlier today and had to start book 2 immediately.
I’m so in love with this series and the characters. River is incredible and I’m super excited to see where things go with her. Especially when it comes to guys. 😉

I don't know what it is about this book and especially the writing that right from page 1, I was sucked into River's world once again like nothing else.
There's just something about River too and the way this is written that makes me absolutely love River for how she handles things and for who she is.
This one definitely plays with the moral lines of right and wrong but honestly if you're reading this book, then you'll definitely need to be a whole lot open minded to what society typically deems as right or wrong.
But I loved how our authors play with us emotionally while giving us such a strong female character in River, and the Men..
oh my THE MEN IN RIVER'S LIFE.... LET'S JUST SAY I'M HELLUVA JEALOUS OF HER. 🔥😻😻😻. But not where Kai is concerned. That man has yet to redeem himself.
Oohhh.. This one gives us the Kinky one and his story definitely hits deep and I felt like there's just so much more at times to anyone's story that we are unaware of and instead of judgement all one needs sometimes is someone to look out for them.
This one takes us deeper into River and Candy Aisle Guy's Romance... And my goodness was I pleased and pleasantly surprised for how SEXY Candly Aisle Guy aka Mr. Nathaniel Reed turned out to be.
Nathaniel was sweet and caring where needed and also SOOOO FREAKING CRAZY HOT WHERE INTIMACY AND BEDROOM PLAYS GO... AHHH... THAT MAN HAD ME SALIVATING AND SWOONING OVER HIM IN THE SAME BREATH.
NATHANIEL KISSES LIKE A DREAM AND DEFINITELY F**KS LIKE YOUR WILDEST FANTASIES.💋💋💋💋🥵🥵🌶️🌶️🌶️
But poor River though, my heart goes out for her for the difficult decisions she has to make and for not being able to have what she wants.
She's a strong and family oriented woman for sure, for how she cares for her brother.
This one is a journey of finding love in the unknowns and loving and losing, of hurts and pains but also of standing and fighting for yourself, this is the journey of River and I feel so fortunate to be able to take this ride with her.

This book was absolutely amazing. The way these authors write is so completely captivating and the way they end this book, I’m going to need the next book like yesterday. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘺 𝘖𝘯𝘦 is full of drama, love, spice, angst, suspense, spice, mystery, and did I mention spice?! These lovely authors brought it all! River is seriously one BA chick and I love her! (can we please be friends?) Also, those secrets a certain someone is hiding?, yeah I’m going to need the answers to those pronto! A definite must read!

Reading after winning the book 1 giveaway and liking its realistic NY vibe. The opening w/ Kai instead of the girl River is confusing not only because I don’t know what’s going on, but this doesn’t sound like a man’s thoughts. It was clearly written by sentimental women. I don’t need to hear how he loves his beautiful best friend every six sentences, we get it.
I’m glad he’s all WTF to her vague recap of “dealing with a stalker who left a sick gift,” and that she continues her domme out call work we really see in-scene. It’s interesting one of her clients has a no touch rule so not to feel like cheating on his wife, he just wants to be taunted and belittled until he gets a mental and physical release.
The humor in this book is cringey though. It’s either cursing or dad jokes and as corny emojis. It doesn’t suit the serious tone. “This man could make a nun’s ovaries come out to play” is so not hot but phrases like that are everywhere.
Backstory reminders from book one are woven in well but, uh, let’s get back to moving that story along. A “nerdy” basketball game skipping over him questioning the severed d!ck she got in a box…? Odd order of things. I just can’t get over the try-hard voice of “I’m a bad b!tch” here. I was hoping this would be a series I’d want to finish but I don’t even feel like getting to the end of this book. Maybe I’d try another saga by these authors because I did enjoy the first installment so much…

Kai’s news of his engagement has devastated Rivers hope for them. So River decides she needs to move on and here comes CAG, ie Nathaniel. There is something that has me suspicious of our man Nathaniel but he is a delightfully delicious, successful Dr who can make one’s panties melt.
The kink in this book was so hot, I thought I might need to invest in AC for my flat! This series is just oh so addictive. Now River does once again make the mistake of getting entangled with Kai who in all honestly is yet to grown on me but that could still change.
With the ending I am so intrigued as to what secret Nathaniel is hiding and will be diving straight into book 3!

Okay Tyler who? Hello Nathaniel and welcome to the party bud! I honestly haven’t been this invested in a complete series in what feels like forever. I consumed this book in a matter of hours and honestly I’m not ready to stop. I have so many questions. What is Nate hiding? Why is Kai marrying Freya (hate her)? Is the stalker going to come back? Will she come clean about her job?

It keeps getting better and better, yall! This story followed River and Gas Station Guy 🤣 gas station guy actually had some pretty hot page time. He seemed to fit in with River and her family really well. The only thing is, I don’t know how it would make him feel to know she was an escort. He made the comment “I don’t share” which is swoon worthy! But, it makes it seem like he wouldn’t be okay with any of it. I’m curious how this series is going to go! I like that each book follows deeper into a new love interest, while still giving page time to the past love interest. It makes the gears in my mind whirl. What does this mean?! I started the next one in the series right after finishing this one! It’s a great series, I’m really glad I started it!

I already knew I was going to love this book as I loved the first but this book was even better than the 1st. The characters are so relatable and lovable! They draw you into their lives and you honestly start to grow attached! I honestly cannot wait to read the next in the series!

Just waiting for the mystery to be solved
While this book wasn’t as much as a wild ride as book one (you know what I’m talking about) I feel like it did cement my adoration of the FMC, River. All I want is for her to be happy and discover who she is going to get that HEA with.
River is fiercely loyal, loving, caring and strong. She has her weaknesses but she does not let them define her. She does her best to do what is right and she’s such a caring person. I like that we did get to see other parts of her work, the deeper parts, what you might not think of an escort doing. I also enjoyed that she was able to experience a bit of a relationship, even if all of the drama and turmoils didn’t help.
I feel like we weren’t on the edge of our seat as much but the big mystery wasn’t any closer to being solved. I have some theories but probably aren’t anywhere close to being accurate.
The ending leaves you a little saddened and confused. It’s not a massive cliffhanger, I think it hooked us just enough to get in to the next book.

The Kinky One is such an amazing follow up to book 1. The plot thickens, there is more mystery surrounding the characters and it keeps you guessing. The smut is top notch and so well written! These books are a perfect combination of amazing story line and being spicy!

If you thought the first one was a ride wait till you hop on this one!
4.75⭐️ for the emotional turmoil and basically feeling like I was on a rollercoaster ride and wasn’t sure which way I was getting off.

One of the reasons I love River so much is for the way she picks herself up & believes she can tackle any situation thrown at her. It’s easy to identify with her bc I’m also the oldest sibling and had to grow up fast. River had to make some serious life changing decisions while young in order to protect her bay brother & I respect that. It’s rare we see her walls come down or her insecurities on display but this second book adds a new type of turmoil.
In this book we see River struggling to maintain her double life while also trying to find her own slice of happiness. The authors start giving us pieces and peaks at the softer side or River, the side that’s wants things for herself, the side that worries about finding love that comes with acceptance oh herself and her profession, and the side that is a bit lost.
The conflict she faces in this between her new relationship and her long time love is so hard to watch. Not in a cringy way- in the way that makes you feel torn & also wanting to yell into the void for her!
I like the twist on the “kinky one” bc at first thought you think it might be a client 👀 Who knew Dr. Reed was a secret freak 👏🏼🔥 His openness to kink matched River’s insatiable appetite & just makes me root for him more!
And then the end?! 😪 GIRL. We’ve got some BIG CHOICES coming up and man…I forgot what a ride this series was! I genuinely don’t remember what happens next (this is a reread for me) and I can’t wait. Literally starting it right now!
Side note- I really loved the bit with her broken soldier client. I thought that really highlighted her care & passion in helping people that need an unconventional type of way.

One of the reasons I love River so much is for the way she picks herself up & believes she can tackle any situation thrown at her. It’s easy to identify with her bc I’m also the oldest sibling and had to grow up fast. River had to make some serious life changing decisions while young in order to protect her bay brother & I respect that. It’s rare we see her walls come down or her insecurities on display but this second book adds a new type of turmoil.
In this book we see River struggling to maintain her double life while also trying to find her own slice of happiness. The authors start giving us pieces and peaks at the softer side or River, the side that’s wants things for herself, the side that worries about finding love that comes with acceptance oh herself and her profession, and the side that is a bit lost.
The conflict she faces in this between her new relationship and her long time love is so hard to watch. Not in a cringy way- in the way that makes you feel torn & also wanting to yell into the void for her!
I like the twist on the “kinky one” bc at first thought you think it might be a client 👀 Who knew Dr. Reed was a secret freak 👏🏼🔥 His openness to kink matched River’s insatiable appetite & just makes me root for him more!
And then the end?! 😪 GIRL. We’ve got some BIG CHOICES coming up and man…I forgot what a ride this series was! I genuinely don’t remember what happens next (this is a reread for me) and I can’t wait. Literally starting it right now!
Side note- I really loved the bit with her broken soldier client. I thought that really highlighted her care & passion in helping people that need an unconventional type of way.

These two have created a series that just keeps getting better and better, as our relationship with River deepens and we begin to find out more about her past the more we can understand the person she is today. This book brings IT and will take you on an emotional ride that you are not prepared for.
River is more broken emotionally than I think even she realises, she's has had to love with the lies and betrayals of those she thought she could love and trust her entire life and sadly for her history has a habit of repeating. The toxic relationships of her childhood are just cycling round her hitting time and time again, she needs to find the strength to break them once and for all. The Kinky one gives her a small taste of what they could be like but she's currently like a junky desperate for her next fix of agony, not yet ready to leave her addiction to pain behind.
The Kinky is a man of many many layers, whilst not outwardly as wealthy as Tyler his familial wealth is vast but under the polished exterior a different type of man lurks. He is Kinky, he is rough and damnding, his primal tendencies are enough to melt anyone but aftercare, compassion and kindness bleed out of him when he's with someone he cares for. He will do anything to protect River and make her happy even if that means hurting himself but he has a big dark secret that he hasn't shared and I need to know what it is.
This book really cements River into you heart, you want her happy, you need her valued and loved. She makes you want to fight for her to heal those broken parts will the Filthy One be able to do that?
