DNF @ 11%. The hero is pressuring the heroine to get married when she isn’t ready. She asks to wait to plan after the holidays and he says no let’s go to the court house today. 🤨 They are currently engaged and he breaks that off after she refuses to jump and marry him, ignores her texts during the holidays and turning their shared home into a mess. He then stays in their shared home and she packs her stuff and stays at a hotel.

Omg get your tissues ready because what Ben & Elle go through will have you in tears. I read this in one sitting because I was completely hooked. I absolutely love these characters and was completely hooked from page one. This book hits a little close too home and maybe had me more emotional but it was absolutely an amazing read. Another amazing book by Heidi that I didn’t want too put down. I will always love this Beaumont series. It gets better and better each read.

I just read this book in basically one sitting. Since I found out we were getting a new Beaumont book in Elle and Ben’s perspective I have been patiently…(not patiently) waiting to have the next book in one of my favorite series by my favorite author! I will forever love this series and the Beaumont crew! At the beginning I was so mad at Ben, but I understood where both Ben and Elle came from! It was interesting to see how their entire year goes thru many downs and a few ups and also finding each other as a couple. I will forever read everything by @heidimclaughlinauthor. Maybe not all at once, but I am working through them!

Geez Give Me Forever is one of the most emotional books I've ever read, and let me tell you, I was ugly crying for most of the book (and that's quite the accomplishment since I do my best to stay away from crying over much of anything LOL). Elle & Ben have been together for a while now, and they're engaged, however the long engagement no longer suits Ben, so he makes a decision to end their relationship. I felt for Ben a great deal, and I do wish Elle had handled things a bit better, but I still found myself slightly upset at him to be honest. She's hoping things will blow over but he's pretty set on his decision until his whole world blows up in his face with a health issue. I'm telling you this story is an emotional gut punch cover to cover so be prepared with tissues. All of a sudden, those other issues don't seem to matter & Elle's going to stick with him whether they get back together or not so Elle developed into a better version of herself. Of course the whole family is together to help support Ben, and they even added a bit of humor to the emotional mix. And that's all I'm going to say so you'll have to just hit those one click buttons to see how it all played out as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This one had me in tears! I cried for Ben and what he was going through. I cried for Elle and how she was trying to figure out life as a successful career woman but also a loving fiancée. This was a beautiful story about realizing that family doesn’t always mean those related by blood. Family are those people who come through for you and support you during the hardest times of your life. I devoured this book, staying up late to finish it one night because I just couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait to see if we get books about Eden and Paige!

HAVE THE TISSUES READY!!

Ben and Elle are one of my favorite couples and to get more of them is a dream! This story is one that you won't be able to put down..

I loved every word of this book and all the emotions it evoked from me!

I have loved Ben from the time he was introduced, and all the times he was a side character in one of the other books. Just something about him always draws me to him.

Elle is such a strong chsracter and to see a different side of her is amazing. You get to see all the layers of Elle in this book!

I could not put this down... I had to know how it ended!
Such a beautiful story written by Heidi that will capture your heart.

I HIGHLY recommend you read at least all the second generation books and the Beaumont Christmas book before this one.

This story was like coming home. It’s like a giant warm hug in book from of course. Heidi has a way of writing these books that make me feel like I’m part of the family. This book was no exception to that, I laughed, I cried, and I can’t get enough. Get the tissues ready, because you’re going to need them! Ben and Elle are really tested this book, and it broke my heart to see characters I love so much go through hard times (but it’s worth it I promise). There are of course mentions of what other characters are up to, and how things are going for them. Through the good and the bad this family doesn’t waver, they’re together through it all no matter what. So when Ben and Elle’s world is flipped upside down, they don’t even hesitate to spring into action, and do everything they can to help.

The way this plot and the timeline is weaved throughout other books is beyond phenomenal. Heidi I don’t know how you do it, but many times I was like oh this happened right as this was happening in this book. Ben and Elle’s story is the perfect addiction to this series, but i knew it would be.

I, like so many others, asked the author for more Ben and Elle. To be honest my actions might be considered begging. Heidi McLaughlin not only answered my plea, but she gave me everything. She poured her heart and soul into this book. You might ask how I know this. My answer is that you only need to read Give Me Forever and you will know, too.

I read the story. Then I read it again. I closed the book in a state of euphoria. I closed the book, grateful that so many years ago I had discovered such a talented writer. She put me through so many emotions and in the end all I felt was a state of calm. I struggled along side so many of the wonderful characters of the Beaumont Series. Their love and support for Ben and Elle picked me up when I was crashing. Ben and Elle weathered the storm and now walk in the sunlight.

Give Me Forever began as an Ugly Cry, a really heart wrenching Ugly Cry. I bawled more than I will ever admit. The characters were constantly challenged. For this reader the tears were worth it. The tissues overflowed the trash can. Every tissue is a thank you to the author for giving her all.

The ending of Give Me Forever has me overflowing with hope, a hope of forever. The author makes the reader work for the HEA. There were times I didn't think they would make it. Thankfully the author gave me the hope to keep going. She gave the characters the hope to keep going.

Give Me Forever is an inspirational story. It reminded it me that love can make you stronger. If you are lucky enough to have the shoulder of a friend to lean on then you have everything. For some, family is everything, and they will hold you up when you can't do it for yourself. For me the most important thing was that blood doesn't make you family, love does. Give Me Forever is full of love.

I may have closed the book but the love remains.

01/22/23 I don't care how many times I read Give Me Forever it still brings out all the emotions and still despise Brenda.

05/03/23 The audiobook is out. Hip Hip Hooray. It was glorious listen that I will listen to again and again.

I adulted all day so I could start reading this just before bed. Thinking, I’ll read a couple chapters and pick it up in the morning.
*snort*
I didn’t put it down. Elle and Ben are not my favourite Beaumont couple, I don’t connect will Elle as much as other characters. But this book grabbed me by the heartstrings and wouldn’t let go. Ben, oh Ben. I don’t know what to say.
Elle and Ben go through a lot in this book, but I feel like they needed to to get to the place they’re at by the end.
Unexpected, emotional, raw.
It’s always great to catch up with the OG Beaumont crew and their kids. I’m hoping there will be more as the teenage kids get older.
And I’m left with just one question, maybe 2.

What is going on with Nick? And why do I care? He’s my least favourite character but I need to know!

I received an advance copy of this. All opinions are my own.

So much love and so much pain!

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

In the 5th book in the Beaumont series of books we get out heart shattered from the very beginning and the blows just keep coming and so do the tears. I can with all honesty say I cried probably through 70% of the book. But there was so much real love along the way. I loved Ben and Elle’s story. The author writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shockingly intimate I have become a huge fan of this author. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors Blurb: Elle James has it all: a loving fiancé in Ben, a promising career as a music manager, and a supportive family. She couldn’t be happier with her life. That is until the unthinkable happens and she must accept the consequences of her actions and figure out how to come clean to her family or continue living the lie.

Ben Miller had it all: a loving fiancée, a budding career, and the support of people who loved him like family. That was until he wanted more, and his fiancée was unable to meet him halfway. He makes a decision, one that affects everyone. When his life takes an unexpected turn and he’s diagnosed with a life changing illness, he finds himself fighting for more than just love.

With their happily ever after slipping through their fingers, will Elle and Ben be able to survive, or will life’s curveball be too much for them to handle?

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

This one really goes through some things. Elle and Ben are going through some things and I get it, Ben needed to feel like he had a space in Elle's life. I didn't think his request of setting the date for the wedding was out of control, nor was his answer to break up. He just wanted to matter and not be an after thought or come in last all the time. I get that Elle is building her career, but she can't do that at the expense of someone she professes to love.

Things were so awkward for them after. Got even more awkward after Ben found what he did. He needed support, but all of a sudden there was no one. I'm glad that he told Quinn and that Quinn talked Elle in a way that made her talk to Ben to find out what was going on.

Ben's family was awful! I'm so glad that both of them realized that they would be better off some place else. Beaumont was perfect for them, laid back place, one where family was, where they could just focus on Ben doing what was needed to get better.

Things were a bit harrowing towards the end, didn't need the extra stress, but things worked out for them in the end. I think the marriage now was a good thing for Ben and Elle, they realized what was important and what wasn't. The way that they planned things was good. The marriage for them, the party when they got out of the hospital for the family and the big ceremony being planned for everyone, because this clan does not do small.

What I’m about to say IS NOT CRITIQUE but advice from reader to reader to honour the author and the beautiful characters I’ve come to love ❤️ PLEASE do not read this unless you’ve read the previous books or at least one of the following “ A Beaumont Family Christmas “ or “ Fourth Down” in my case I chose the Christmas option as I felt I’d get a fuller experience of the family and I’m grateful I did because I did get a bit of background. I will be reading the series , however this time I’ll do it from the beginning ❣️📕

This family and it’s extensions are amazing people , a people you want to be a part of 🥰

There were 2 things that really pulled at my heartstrings though the first was despite the fact that Harrison and Katelyn have grown up children , they open their hearts and home to a precious little baby , Ollie , the way everyone accepts this and enfold him in their family was just to precious ❤️🙏

The other thing is family is not blood alone , I just look at Ben , he and Elle broke up , he finds out he’s got cancer and Quinn ,Elle’s brother is there for him and ensures him he won’t face this giant alone .
I appreciated the fact that the author took the time to focus on “man cancer” , it’s not often a topic and also the emotions are so very real ❣️

I loved every page of this read , let’s not forget the coverart which is just gorgeous 🥰😉i cried hard , I had a few tense moments and moments of frustration but I just fell in love with the people of Beaumont and can’t wait to start at the very beginning ❣️

The Beaumont family continues! Seeing how these relationships keep growing and growing for over 20 years makes you remember why you fell in love with the characters so long ago. Seeing Elle and Quinn made me smile because they still bicker but love one another fiercely!

Now onto Ben and Elle….

First of all have the tissues ready because Ben is in for a fight. He struggles physically, mentally, emotionally, you name it. In Ben and Elle’s first book I’m not going to lie Elle got to me at points (and I feel that’s how Heidi planned it). Even at the end of the first one she still came across as bratty and very self absorbed in ways. Well our little Elle is all grown up and showed us how much she loves Ben and was willing to change everything to make sure her man was happy and healthy. I loved seeing them grow but kind of keep their relationship on the back burner for a majority of the story.

On an ending note I want people to think of the most comforting feeling that reminds you of home (a warm blanket from the dryer or your favorite dinner cooking in the oven) and this is what this book feels like when reading it. Heidi dribbled in updates on other family members (Peyton/Noah, Katelyn/Harrison, Betty Paige/Mack, even Liam who in my opinion would make an interesting mayor lol!). I love keeping up with the families as I know my fellow readers do as well.

Also PS….Has Nick gotten eaten by a lion in Africa?! We need answers Heidi!!!

My second read of Heidi McLaughlin..

This story is about Elle and Ben..

I would definitely suggest getting tissues at the ready.

Elle and Ben are a couple who have been together since school. Their family is a tight knit family who is there for one another.

This book gets you hooked, each chapter is from the character point of view which is something I like, it makes you feel connected with the characters and their story.

Elle has it all, the family, the money. She's got a promising music career as a music manager.
Life takes a dramatic and life changing route, how can things go back to how they was and what will happen along the way?

Ben had it all, a loving fiancée, a great career and support and love from a family who's taken him on as one of their own.
His life takes an unexpected turn and he gets diagnosed with a life changing illness, ben finds himself fighting for more than just love.

Would definitely recommend getting lost into Heidi's words.
Can say this book made me tear up

I’m gonna be honest and start with Ben and Ellie have always been my least favorite Beaumont/Next Gen characters. Their first book was written great but I just didn’t mesh with the characters themselves. I was totally on Ben’s side when he left for New York before they got together. I felt like Elle always took their friendship for granted and he deserved more. I was skeptical about what a happily ever after would look like for them at the end of that book. I’m warning you there are going to be some minor SPOILERS beyond this point. In the beginning of the book when Ben chooses to leave I am totally with him! If she’s still as self absorbed as before then he deserves better! However, I absolutely love how Heidi helps Elle grow during this entire book. She grows as a person and they grow as a couple. Even when they’re not together their friendship preserves and what they have is just as special as Noah and Peyton’s relationship. This book is so full of emotions I need to re-read it so that I can digest it deeper.

All of the previous Beaumont characters rallying together for one of their own was amazing and brought tears to my eyes on several occasions. Quinn is the man! He puts life into perspective on a couple of occasions. Harrison and Katelyn are amazing parents and are truly loving out loud. The glimpses into future character books is priceless to me as this is my all time favorite book world.

This amazing story will pull at your heart strings, bring tears to your eyes, and have you cheering on Elle and Ben! 5 stars for this emotional must read!
Ben and Elle have hit a road bump in their relationship, he wants to set a date now, she's got a lot on her plate. He feels like she's putting her business before him and he's had enough and tells her he's done and walking away.
Elle can't believe she's spending the holidays alone, and lying to her family about where Ben is. But one thing she refuses to do is get married without her dad walking her down the isle, while her family is there, why doesn't Ben understand that?
When Ben finds out he's ill, he wants to push Elle further away, he doesn't want her back in his life for her pity, but having his mother and brother here also isn't helping him, he needs her, but is afraid to ask her.
Follow their emotional journey, you will laugh, cry, and pray they find their way back to each other! Don't miss out grab this one asap!

In a surprising and emotional journey, I stumbled upon an audiobook that captivated me from the start. Drawn in by a beautiful cover, I anticipated a lighthearted tale for my daily tasks, but what unfolded was anything but easy. I found myself immersed in a world filled with heartache, despair, and unexpected twists. However, in the face of the challenges, the story beautifully showcased the immense power of love. It revealed how love can transcend difficulties and bring hope in the darkest moments. Be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster, and keep a tissue close at hand. This standalone listen left a lasting impact on me, reminding me of the profound depths love can reach.

Lastly, I would like to express a heartfelt thank you to libro.fm for providing me with this unforgettable listening experience.

The story has pain, secrets, and heartbreak. This is an emotional journey that leaves you in tears throughout.

If you have not read the below I they are also in this series
Holding Onto Forever (Beaumont: Next Generation, #1)
My Unexpected Love (Beaumont: Next Generation, #2)
Chasing My Forever (Beaumont: Next Generation, #3)
Peyton & Noah (Beaumont: Next Generation, #3.5)
Fighting For Our Forever (Beaumont: Next Generation, #4)

This is Elle and Ben’s story. They are struggling as a couple. They are both going through things that hurt the relationship. Can they over come all the ups and downs they have going on? Or will they have to give up on each other? They both realize that family is more then what you are born into. Family can come from outside sources and love you just as much or more than blood ties.

I recommend this book.

Doesn’t everyone find comforting in being home?
Every time I pick up a new Beaumont novel I am right back at home, falling in love with these characters all over again!
I have found myself wondering many times how Ben and Elle’s story continues; however, I wasn’t expecting this one!
Make sure you have some tissues ready! My heart hurt for both Ben and Elle, but it was also warmed by the love and support that one family can show for one another! In this book both Ben and Elle grew so much in a short amount of time!
I also love to get a little update on all my Beaumont characters while reading, it always has me thinking who’s story takes a turn next!
My love for this family of characters and Beaumont has never wavered! I can’t wait to see where we go from here!

So like most of us fangirls of Heidi and the Beaumont series, I may or may not have begged Heidi to give us more Ben and Elle. I felt like their story was unfinished and I needed to see them get married.

When I started to get heart palpitations and was ugly crying in the first chapter, I knew I was in for an emotional journey. I am been a huge fan of the Beaumont series from the beginning and each book we get always feels like coming home to me. If gives me such a cozy feeling, it's like a deep hug from your mom or grandma. It's the best feeling.

Ben and Elle go through A LOT in this book and my heart broke them more than once (cue the tissues and comfort blanket.) The journey was so worth it and Heidi will slowly put your broken heart back together by the end. I love how she was able to weave in all the characters we know and love so much as well as keep up with the timeline of the other books.

Give Me Forever is an inspiring story and reminds you that family isn't just blood and that love can make you stronger. I will forever be indebted to Heidi for pouring her and soul into a book that so many of her reader begged for. It will remain a top read for me.

I’m a huge fan of this author’s Beaumont series, so of course, I’m loving the next generation books as well. Ben and Elle’s journey in My Unexpected Love (book 2) was a very emotional read. Just when you think these two are finally basking in their HEA, the author decides to put them on yet another emotional rollercoaster ride and drags our hearts and emotions right along with them. She’s bound and determined to make all the couples work hard for their HEAs and just as determined for readers to shed many tears during the journey. However, at the heart of the book (and both Beaumont series) is the idea that family isn’t always blood, and the 4225 West family is still looking out for and supporting one another, even as it grows. From tears to laughter and back again, Give Me Forever has it all. Buckle up, Beaumont fans. This one’s a doozy!

This is the 5th book in this amazing series, and this is Ben and Elle’s story. These two are in love and engaged, and have careers that they love, and a loving and supportive family. When Ben wants more, and Elle is unwilling to meet him halfway, and then he is diagnosed with a life changing illness, will they be able to survive these challenges? This is a beautifully written story which is an emotional roller coaster, with 2nd chances, romance, family, friendships, hope, humor, love, and is an entertaining page turner, which leads to a heartwrenching read.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Give Me Forever is the newest installment in the Beaumont Series: Next Generation, where seemingly happy couple, Ben and Elle, clash over mismatched priorities, and have their entire world rocked by a sudden diagnosis of a life-threatening illness. The world building in all the Beaumont books has always been some of my favorite, because the characters are so beautifully written. As a reader, I’m immediately sucked in and fully invested in everything that is happening. I feel like I know these people. It makes the banter more witty, the emotion more palpable, and the overall impact of the book deeper and longer lasting. With these characters, you know that family is tantamount, and that they will rally around each other to face any challenge, and they certainly did not disappoint in this book! My emotions took over on couple of occasions and I needed tissues, in response to Ben’s health concerns and his relationship with Elle, as well as a scene with Peyton. Heidi McLaughlin is a master at conveying authentic emotions. But even though this book covers a couple painful topics, it is so worth the read!! If you’ve read any of the Beaumont books, you know these people are about love, whether it’s romantic, friendship, or family, it will find a way to flourish the way it’s meant to!! I can’t wait to see what happens next!!

What a Book!!

I have read this whole series, I can’t wait for each book to come out. I’ve fallen in love with every character. However, I’ll be the first to admit I never connected to Elle or Ben. I felt Elle was shellfish and spoiled and Ben was just a back drop. This book made me love them both as much as I love Noah and Peyton. I cried through the whole book and couldn’t put it down. Amazing job! Amazing book. Great story! Can’t wait for more!!!!

Oh my god! In one day. Perfect 10 star.

In order for a story to be more than the allotted stars of five, to me I need to have read it in a matter of hours. And to have felt deeply what the characters went through. It was an heartbreaking story about loss, second chances and finding a way back to each other.

Ben & Elle have been together for a long time. But they want different things and it drove them apart. Ben’s time of need brings Elle back to him.

This story really pulled on my heart strings and made me shed quite a few tears. There were some of sadness, despair and then joy. These character broke my heart many times over but the author was able to bring everything back together to make my heart weep of joy. This story was perfectly mastered and executed. It was HIGLY addicting and captivating. The storyline was plain AMAZING.

This is a binge worthy & page turning kind of story. A Beaumont Family Christmas Novella should be read first. There are parts in that story that will come back in Give Me Forever.

Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.

Oh my, what a heartbreaking story from Heidi McLaughlin. Ben and Elle's story broke me from the very beginning but their love for each other also made my heart mend.

When Ben and Elle disagree over setting a date for their wedding things spiral out of control causing them to say thing's they both regret.

Then Ben makes a discovery that put's life into perspective, but will he confide in Elle and will they find their way back to each other.

Definitely one for all Beaumont fans just remember to have tissues at the ready.

This book brought me home!! I missed these characters so much. Elle and Ben have been destined since day to be together. They both needed this life lesson to remind one another that they will always fight for love. Heidi as usual knocked this story out of the park!
