I enjoyed this but sometimes with Lana Sky’s mind games I get really confused about what is happening. I’m not sure what it is.
I’m on the second book but finding myself stalling on it. I think because the secret identity is blown out of the water. I like book one because the mind games is hero thinks heroine is her sister who is a golddigger type not afraid to use her body to get what she wants. Heroine has to pretend because it’s the best way to save her nephew from another crime lord and she’s supposed to be dead due to an obsessive ex. At times, her ex has more of an overpowering presence than Jaguar, because he’s scarred the heroine. It’s messed up that dark romances have now made me relate to the villain as the romantic lead 😂😊

We met jaguar previously - didn't like the man then, he was scary evil
Now though that I've spent time with him?
He is terrifying -
The four horsemen of the apocalypse would be a welcome visit over him
I don't want to spoil anything so this will be brief
Pita is on a mission and nothing is off the table to accomplish it
Including trading her soul for Jaguar
Or letting the world believe she's someone else
Only the game has changed up
The past is back
And her savior might be playing for the other side
Though personally- I think he knows more than he is letting on
And Horatio? I don't trust him at all
This is one of Sky's darker reads
There are no allowances for gender
All is fair in war
If you are squeamish or have any triggers then I would recommend you pass on this one
For those of you who delight in the more malevolent and enjoy the darker side of humanity - You are going to want to dive into this one right away
It ends in a to be continued

This story hooked right from the start and didn’t let go. I loved it! Of course, I knew about Jaguar from the previous series and I couldn’t wait for his story. It’s as thrilling as I thought it would be. The writing is terrific in this author’s usual style that grabbed me by the throat, held me down and didn’t let go. The intensity just ramps up as the mystery unwinds in excruciating slowness with bouts of information drops. Jaguar is much like I expected him to be. Ruthless, dominant, brutal and super sexy. It took me a minute to warm up to Lupe but as her story was revealed I was captivated by the fierce heroine. Her need to protect a loved one took precedence over everything else. She’s the bomb as she captivates the fearsome Jaguar and holds her own with him. There are a couple of sexy hot scenes but none of the cringeworthy acts like with Dom and Ada. I think the heat is just beginning with these two spectacular characters. Can Jaguar gives Lupe what she desires and save her from her villain? Yup, Jaguar may be a brutal beast but the real villain of the story has yet to show up except in Lupe’s mind. Jaguar needs to replace those memories and Lupe could give him what’s missing from his life. So exciting! The ending left everything up in the air and Lupe in a vulnerable place. I can’t wait for the next installment in the thrilling series with mesmerizing characters, heart stopping suspense and sexy romance. Loved it!

Jaguar and Lupita holy hotness what a weave of a game they play the dialouge is amazing and so addicting filled with lies, danger,and a whole lot of devious games as Lupita enters Jaguars dark complicated world. I never knew what was coming next, it has my mind reeling and heart pounding.
This was amazing and so very well written with never a dull moment with these two and I loved it all.

Heady cocktail of desire, danger and deceit
Blood Diamond is the first book in a new trilogy by Lana Sky, and I LOVED IT! It is a heady cocktail of danger and desire as Lupita, having nowhere else to turn to seeks the help of Jaguar Domingas, the most ruthless cartel kingpin of all. Jaguar was featured in earlier books in the El Mundo de Sangre world, and I have been longing to learn more about him since he first appeared as he truly is a bête noire type of villain, a man to be reviled and feared, with no hope of redemption.
My sympathies were well and truly with Lupita, a woman who is desperate, a little crazy and traumatised by a past where she had a lucky escape from a man such as Jaguar. She thinks she knows exactly what she risks yet is nevertheless prepared to sacrifice herself for the sake of another. What she is not prepared for is Jaguar’s level of ruthlessness as he seeks to peel back her layers and reveal her secrets and the true woman beneath.
The sexual tension between the couple is electric. Jaguar finds Lupita a challenge as she is so unlike the women he is used to and in return for his help and protection he demands everything, including her soul… after he has had a taste will he decide to keep her, or will he destroy her and spit her out? Can she trust him to keep his side of the bargain?
I hugely enjoyed this multi-layered read which is awash with danger, tension, and deceit and full of unexpected twists and turns. I also enjoyed the side characters who are part of this world. I love that this author’s work is never predictable, neither the reader nor the characters never quite know what is around the corner for them. The book ends on a cliffhanger which left me begging for more and the next instalment, Blood Debt, cannot come soon enough!

I enjoyed the plot and the characters, but two things bothered me a little: the constant mention of the harem (it was off putting) and because I felt zero connection between them besides the sexy part. However, I have to consider that this is a trilogy, so I expect them to build a relationship in the next books. I really hope Jaguar starts showing his feelings, until this point I felt none.
The last chapter left us with a big cliffhanger and I’m really curious to know what happens next.

When Lupita's nephew is taken by his father after his mother, Lupita's twin sister, disappears, her only choice is to seek the help of infamous narco Julian Domingas aka Jaguar. In order to get Jaguar to help her, Lupita must promise her entire self to Jaguar, body, mind, and soul. As Lupe is drawn further into Jaguar's life, an unforseen danger presents itself and Lupe must rely on Julian to keep her safe without forgetting who he truly is... a deadly narco. This book is the first book in the Diamante de Sangre series and the fourth book in the El Mundo de Sangre series, but in my opinion could be read without reading the previous books, though they do offer some context and backstory.
This book was fantastic and I read it in a matter of hours! It was the perfect amount of dark and dangerous with insight into a world that very few will actually have real world experience in. I liked both of the characters and thought that Lana Sky did a great job making a potentially irredeemable character likeable enough that I was excited at the prospect of seeing him fall for Lupe. This book was very well written, cohesive and did not have any holes in the plot or areas where I felt confused or like I had missed something. Overall this was a 5 star read and I can't wait to read the others in the series!

I love this series so much! I love how it’s an interconnected series because characters from the previous books still make an appearance. I was also really excited to read Jaguar’s story because I loved his character in the previous books (his personality was intriguing and something I wanted to read more about). The pacing is good and there’s a perfect balance between spice, plot, and intense scenes. The ending has me extremely excited for the next book! This book is a dark cartel romance and discusses many mature themes. It also has a lot of dark content so if you’re one to read warnings beforehand, make sure to do so before diving in! Julian Domingas aka "Jaguar"is known for his violent reputation as one of most powerful & dangerous drug lords in the world, he's jaded & cynical has seen it all when it comes to schemers & spys wanting his power.
Lupita Sanchez will do everything she can to save her nephew Francisco from his abusive Brutal cruel father Braulio Rivera her twin sister Tiena abandoned even put herself in the path of most powerful Narco called Jaguar to get his help to save him take down Braulio once & for all.

Blood Diamond follows Lupita “Lupe” Sanchez and Julian “Jaguar” Domingas as Lupe dives into Jaguar’s narco world to request his protection for her and her nephew. In turn? She offers her soul.
Lupe is an amazing, fierce female lead and I loved her independence and her take-no-shit attitude. She’d do anything for her nephew, and her loyalty is ironclad. Despite playing a game of deception with Jaguar, she leads with a fierceness I respect a lot. She knows what she wants, she knows how to get it, and she knows how to play the game to her benefit.
Jaguar is rude, possessive, and hot as hell. He’s more intelligent than he comes off, and he loves the game that he and Lupe are playing. They’ve found their match in each other and I’m excited to see how it’s going to play out in the rest of the series.
The plot was also really good, once it picked up I was left with more questions than answers but in a good way. There are multiple players on the board and some have yet to reveal their faces and their endgames and I’m left biting my nails, nervous how everything is going to go down.
All in all, I was very impressed with Lana’s book!

This is the first book in a new series that is a spin off from the Dinero de Sangre series.
I literally devoured this book in two days. I’ve been wanting to read a book with a strong heroine FMC and Lana has delivered with this book. Lupe takes a risk going to Jaguar for help after the disappearance of a family member. She risks her life by seeking out help from Jaquar, which we were introduced to in the the Dinero de Sangre series. Jaguar is one of the most powerful, dangerous, and ruthless man in the cartel and we see a little more about him in this book. Lupe schemes up a plan to catch his attention to help her with her mission.
This book was very dark with unexpected twists and turns. It was filled with danger, loyalty, tension, and a bit of chemistry. This book ended on a cliffhanger, so I’m excited to start the next book in the series. I hope that the next book is just as intense and dark as this one because it was an exciting read and I’m curious to see what happens next.

I have received an eArc of this book and I'm leaving the review voluntarily.
Loved the dynamics between Lupita and Jaguar, I mean it was great. I loved how Lupita was smart and cunning in her own way, and wouldn't let be talked down. YOU GO GIRL 👏
Was I expecting at least a mention of Domino? Yes but only becuase it was said that this book picks up right after the Dinero de Sangre, and we didn't get any mention of the things happened in the previous trilogy. But that's fine the whole new plot was good, honestly I wasn't sure what to expect entirely so lol hard to be mad about it.
Honestly I was expecting more abuse etc considering how Jaguar behaved in the first trilogy, like man it was sick. And because of that I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this book at all but yeah it's nice to see he is not deranged as he was portrayed before. But then it makes you what Domino went through that he behaved like he did. Sorry okay I see that I'm rambling now haha but yeah I would totally love to talk to someone about this so if you wanna discuss the book let me know :)

I have LOVED Jaguar since he first showed up in the Dinero de Sangre series, with Domino and Ada Maria 🖤 He stole every scene he was in!! I couldn’t wait for his own series, and now here we are 🤗 Jaguar is such an unpredictable, manipulative, mysterious character, whom specializes in twisted mind games. He is the ultimate bad boy 😍 In this series, he meets his match in Lupita. A woman who would do anything to get her nephew back, from his abusive cartel father. The only way Lupita knows how to do that, is to go to an even scarier, more abusive cartel boss that everyone fears more. Lupita definitely catches Jaguar’s attention. He might help her, but she’ll have to pay a ton of prices, nothing is free when it comes to Jaguar. Even if it’s your soul he wants. Lupita is already broken, still dealing with an abusive past, with a very dangerous man that she thought was gone forever. Is he back?? If so, that just might complicate things worse, with Jaguar, herself and getting her nephew back…..

I love a well written dark cartel anti-hero and Lana Sky has done it again.

This book is about Lupita and Jaguar (Julian.) Jaguar was initially introduced Dinero de Sangre series as a vicious, cruel, bloodthirsty drug Lord and human trafficker. Some of these characteristics do follow him into this book. But it is also evident that these are not all of his traits and he is capable of others. Lupita has a twin, Tiena, who has a son by another drug lord. Tiena is missing and her son is with abusive father. Lupita has a plan to pretend she is Tiena to lure Jaguar into helping her. Meanwhile she found out her psychotic ex lover drug lord she escaped from is near. Everything about this book is amazing. The characters are impeccable, world building is astounding, and the story is both breathtaking and breath holding!

I am a sucker for stories with Latino characters. That's the main reason I bought this book. Plus, I love dark romances. Here's the thing I have already purchased the next two books in the series. Yep, the story is that good, so I obviously want to know how it turns out. Without giving anything away, I can say that both main characters are manipulators, as are the side characters. The main couple Lupe and Jaguar come together in the most deliberate of ways. With many lies between them, what is clear is that family, loyalty, respect and love are on the line. The unraveling of this story is complicated by circumstances. The unraveling is also intricate in a delicious way. The spice is there, and it does not drive the story, even though it can. The characters, plot, chemistry and storyline is what you fall in love with as a whole. Enjoy.

Ugh this story was so captivating and pulls you in from page one. Lupita has one mission and that is to get back her nephew. In order to do that she needs to ask the most powerful dangerous man for help. Jaguar is not one to messed with or lied to. Lupita draws him in under half truths pretend don’t to be her twin sister. Haunted by her past by the one man Diego. She long thought him to be dead. Now Lupita must figure a way to get her nephew and get far away to live a normal life. Jaguar has other plans then just giving her what she wants. I have a lot of unanswered questions and with that cliffhanger I’m itching to know what happens next. I seriously can’t wait for Blood Debt. Lana is one of my all time favorite authors and her stories never disappoint, ever.

I was really anticipating this book after reading the other series in the same universe, and while it didn’t disappoint, it wasn’t what I expected.
The other series was depraved, and so I did expect this book to be somewhat in the same direction — perhaps even more. I’m not saying it’s all sunshine and roses, but compared to its predecessor this was fluffy, so that’s something to consider.
That said, I really did enjoy it! And the characters are unhinged and wild, and probably beyond redemption. My main reason to read this book was how fascinated I became with the main characters from what I saw in the other series, and while not disappointed — thoroughly surprised.
I am itching for the next installment, which is the finest compliment there is; or so I think at least.

Lana Sky strikes again, and it was one heck of a strike. If you want a strong heroine who has been to hell and back and can still take on one of the most notorious and feared cartel kings, then look no further.

Then there is the all powerful Jugar who has everything a man could ever want, power, wealth and a harem of women; however, he soon finds out that he may want something more, and that could be Lupe. Lupe to him is a mystery and can stand up to him toe to toe. The only problem is she is not who she says she is and when he finds out her lie, will he still protect her and the only thing she cares about or will it be her end?
I so can wait for the next book in this dark delicious series and don’t you know it ends with a cliffhanger! Just the way I like it!

What could be worth everything, even your soul? Lupita 'Lupe' Sanchez believes a life for her and her nephew, Franco is just that. In order for this life to exist, Lupe has to go all in with Julian 'Jaguar' Domingas. Luke has know dangerous men all her life but Jaguar is not just dangerous. I love the layers that this author creates and the unpeeling that begins. The twists and turns that reveal the details of this amazing world which this story exists. Simply amazing. As always, I was hooked and could not put this book down until I completed it. Anxiously awaiting the results of Lupe's last comment as the drugs took effect. Enjoy!

Blood Diamond is the fourth book in the El Mundo de Sangre series.(1st book in the Diamante de Sangre series).
Having read the previous books in the series I was already aware of Jaguar's charchter and very much intrigued by him so I was excited to get my hands on this new book and once I started it I was hooked immediately.
Lupe's character is great and her backstory and motives makes her more realistic and approachable, her relationship with Jaguar is very interisting, their interactions and the way things develop between them was done extremely well.
Overall this was a great read and I absolutely loved this part and im very excited to find out what happens next.

FIERCE! Need MORE!!!
No words to fully describe this read except prepare to be Hooked till the end., or until you read the mind blowing cliffy that has you screaming this can not end with those words. No way. Why is Lana is so cruel? So helll yea it's good as it takes you on some crazy twists and turns that has your emotions running amuck and than you get tantalizing chemistry to heighten your senses that makes you crazy with need to keep reading and forgetting about the responsibilities of life. I definitely need more of this fierce and dominating series that has me frazzled and desperate for more.

I definitely did not like Jaguar when reading the Dinero de Sangre trilogy, however, I am starting to like him in his story with Lupita. He is still a ruthless, dark, and sadistic man but we see a little more about him in this book. Lupita needs his help to save her nephew so she goes to him. She is keeping some secrets but she does catch Jaguar's attention. This story was dark, steamy, and exciting. Can't wait to read the next to find out about Lupita's past catching up with her and Jaguar's reaction to finding out Pita's truth! I received a review copy of this story and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

I'm having a hard time typing out this review. My fingers are still healing after I burnt them on my kindle. Well Ms. I love Lana Sky's books, how did you do that. Easy, I was reading this sizzling hot, delicious, incredibly well written book, Blood Diamond
Annnd.....it was so damn hot, it was like my e-reader was overheating. However, that being said, I would be amiss to not mention that the storyline and the characters make this a must read, page turning, five star plus read. Definitely recommend this book.

This is the 4th book in this series but it can be read as a standalone. This story is about Julian/Jaguar and Lupe. Lupe is desperate for help to get her nephew and when she gives her body and soul to Jaguar, will he help her? Does he trust her? Can she trust him? Fast-paced read with loads of drama and suspense. The chemistry is intense and the scenes sizzling. I was hooked from begging to end. I loved it and can’t wait for more!

Lupe and Jaguars story definitely was one that had me gripping my kindle and has me chomping at the bits for the next one. Lupe is a amazing character and she finds herself in the lions den when it comes to Jaguar but in order to get his help he wants a lot more then she’s willing to give but her options aren’t plenty especially with what’s he’s willing to give. Love the suspense and rollercoaster ride

Loved this book! It was a great mix of danger, grit, darkness & steam that I’ve come to love from this author. Lupita is a desperate, determined, strong heroine who has given everything to get to this point. She knows her last chance is Jag. For her to even be considering approaching this dangerous drug lord we know this is her last resort. What results is a dangerous game of cat & mouse, fueled with many layers of secrets. Can’t wait to read more!
