The Devil Within
A GRIPPING, ACTION-PACKED CRIME THRILLER - THE FIRST NOVEL IN THE OPHELIA HANSON SERIES
‘I hate the smart ones, Leslie. They’re far harder to catch.’
A devious serial killer is wiping out criminals who have managed to get away with deplorable acts, leaving clues at the scenes of the crimes.
Ophelia Hanson is a smart but tough Lieutenant of the Cranston Row Homicide Division in New York. Her sex, intelligence and her colour mark her out as different from her colleagues, liked by some, loathed by others.
Overcoming personal troubles, Ophelia throws herself into the vigilante killer case. With pressure mounting from the top, including from her captain, Paul Haggerson, Ophelia becomes increasingly desperate to find the evidence which will help her find the vigilante killer.
When tragedy strikes, Ophelia’s demons resurface. She doesn’t know who to trust – or where the killer will strike next.

About the author
Annette Austin
6 books7 followersI have written and published eight novels. My first novel, The Fall of the House of James, spent some time at the Number 1 spot on Amazon, (History of Antebellum U.S. Chart.) The other seven novels are Always A Slave, A Slave's Vow, Betrayal of Love, Between Love and War, The Devil Within, To Sleep With A Stranger and A Sweet Taste For Revenge. After a really challenging time, the sixth novel in The James Saga, A Sweet Taste For Revenge, has just been released and is available on Amazon. I will hopefully begin working on the seventh novel in The James Saga, Victory Or Surrender, shortly.
