Rate this book
Dorothy Cameron Disney was an American writer born in the Indian Territory that became the state of Oklahoma. Educated at Barnard College, New York., she worked as a stenographer, copy writer, journalist and night club hostess before becoming a full time writer. She is one of Mary Roberts Rinehart most gifted followers.
The Greers are nice, ordinary people, friendly and respectable, and when a dreadful accident leaves them homeless and helpless their next door neighbors do not hesitate to take them in. But, suddenly they find themselves at the center of a police investigation as the senseless explosion turns out to conceal a deeper, darker, more purposeful crime.
Somewhere in the lives of these ordinary people is hidden a motive for murder.

Excellent mystery, with additional suspense in the beginning before the explosion, it's location, and extent, are revealed. Great character driven fair-play whodunnit.
