I found that this book encourages lying through elaborate story telling. The seahorse “embellished” his stories to make them big and exciting, but the reader knows they aren’t true. In the end there are no consequences and everyone thinks his elaborate stories are so cute and fun.

Very cute read aloud chapter book. The illustrations are fun and my kids loved it. As an adult, it was just okay (not my favorite read aloud but I've read a lot worse).
