Jeffrey Brown has made a half dozen books about the Star Wars characters as kids, and now he transfers that gimmick to the Marvel Universe, giving us a generous helping of Thor and Loki as mischievous tots.
I had tired of the Star Wars books, but this change in direction reminds me why the first one was fun. Jumping franchises is a better way to milk this joke.
This is such an adorable little comic! I will admit I didn’t understand all of the jokes as I haven’t watched all of the movies but my brother who loves Marvel spent the entire read laughing his socks off! The illustrations are great and this would make the perfect gift for every marvel lover!
This was cute as hell!! The artwork is fabulous, and many of the pages I just stared at for a while, taking in all the fine details once I was done reading the page. It's a simple and short read with just many comics that don't really connect or tell an overall story, so don't expect that. I would really love to see this adapted into an animated show. I think that would have potential, honestly.
Good illustrations and funny moments on the pages. The book is comprised of "scenes" and does not tell a story. While the scenes have Thor and/or Loki in them, there are a few that also include some of the other standard Avengers.
From the author who brought us a number of Star Wars comics, this is a fun quick read. A passing knowledge of the characters from Norse Mythology, Marvel comics and the Thor movies may be best but not necessary.
My kiddos have asked me to read this to them time and time again. They absolutely love looking at the pictures of all the things Thor and Loki get into during their stay on earth.
