Survive the cousin visit, check. Listen to Nanami vent about her frustrations, check. Study for exams…a work in progress—but it won’t prevent the pair from having some fun in the sun in Okinawa! That was the plan, at least...until Nanami has a miserable run-in with the student council president, Sakuma, at the hotel. And to add insult to injury, he’s in the same group as Suzumura! Are his derisive words enough to ruin the whole trip for them…?
Definitely my favorite volume so far and I'm pretty sure it's because we get soooooo much page time with Andou! I'm all for seeing two guys who are best friends just be best friends! Plus I was surprised by Andou's backstory! He has always been such a strong and wonderful character and to hear how things haven't always been that way (because of how other people treated him) definitely made my heart a little bit sad.
AND WHAT IS THAT PRESIDENT'S DEAL?! Talk about a total jerk!! I was totally offended by all the mean things he told Nanami! But ooooo buddy did she do a mic drop on him later! Like tell it girl!! I absolutely LOVE when she stands her ground and wants to stand up for her friends (and boyfriend). She doesn't stand down though I was afraid for her for a moment near the end!
I LOVE the hugs to recharge! So cute!! These two continue to grow more confident in their relationship and so happy for them! <3
School trip time! This student council president seems to be bad news as well. He seems nice enough to everyone else, but there is something going on when Kyouhei comes up, and that's leading to some bad interactions with Nanami. Of course, Kyouhei doesn't seem too concerned about it so long as he keeps his distance from Nanami and doesn't get her worked up again. We also get a bit of history finally on Mizuki, which is nice given how good of a friend he's been to these two lovable dorks.

Despite me being afraid to pick this volume up, I quite enjoyed it! It has been so long since I've read one of these volumes, that I was so sure I'd have forgotten everything and need to start over. But it wasn't too difficult to keep going. I liked the chapter of the school trip and the dynamics between friends. I will be continuing! I just hope the next volume comes out quicker.
I thought this one was very good! We got a little more insight into Andou's past and why he transferred from his old school. I liked that there wasn't another female rival when we met Tama during the school field trip.
The humor was good, and I'm looking forward to finding out why the school president is such a d*ck to Suzumura and Nanami.
i really love this series and enjoyed getting to know more about one of the side characters in this book and the student council guy i found annoying, but want to know his motives or if it is just jealousy. also the teacher student plot line and seeing that side of the character where he does put those he cares about first. also seeing the main mc being protective of mc was really cute
