I generally don’t like anthologies because they are short stories, and I like to read longer books. However, there are quite a few authors I like in this anthology, so I dived in. This anthology is a great collection of urban fantasy/paranormal romance stories to satisfy anyone who enjoys those genres. I for one really enjoyed Rebekah Ganeire’s story in this. After reading this, I hope this is either a series already out or will be one coming. Give this a chance; you might find a bunch of new authors to love. Highly recommend.

FOR SHIFT’S SAKE: Margo Bond Collins & Ariel Dawn.
Prequel to Scared Shiftless
Good story about a novice witch, Evie and Angel, who is unemployed looking for work, who get caught up in a mad scientist's Ivan Cambridge's scheme to create a hybrid shifter army. What he doesn't account for is the connection between the two of them and how it will impact him and his future plans . This is the taster as to how the series will progress. Looking forward to the release of the series.
DARK DREAMS: SA Daniels.
This is about Cait who doesn't know that she was once a fae queen betrothed to Fionn. But because of his cruelty her lover Cormac helped her escape. Now centuries later, her King, Fionn has tracked her down and plans to make her his again. This is a prequel to the series Realm of the Sithean due out June this year.
FOWL THINGS: Lulu M. Sylvian
Pandora, a witch, is a research assistant in the W.Duchamp Archives. A job that she really enjoys. She is in love with Dr Merle Armitage, whom she gets to see regularly as she does all the searching and delivering of his requested research papers. But he barely knows she exists. However he does eventually find out about her feelings for him. But it does not go smoothly for the two would be lovers as Merle is clueless about relationships. Something is terrorising the town and tearing chickens apart. Merle knows what it is. Whilst sorting his research papers, she drops them. Whilst rearranging them she realises that he is about to use the information the wrong way. She rushes over to his apartment - will Pandora be able to save the day? Loved this story and the role the chickens played in it too.
HIDE AND SEEK - Andra Dill
Marin owns a magic spell shop but all starts to go wrong when her charms start to be used to hide things and when people start going missing too the finger gets pointed in her direction. But all is not as it seems and someone is changing her charm spells to cover their tracks. She is determined to find out who is at the bottom of it all but ends up as a suspect. In amongst all this chaos she risks losing her business too. Will she be able to solve the problem and save herself and the missing girl? An intriguing ‘Who Dunnit’.
HOCUS PURRCUS - Pepper McGraw
The matchmaking cats of the goddesses have been assigned their latest task - to find cats for the witches. Some of the coven are looking for love but not their leader Pippa, however she does agree for the coven to cast a spell to attract potential males to the area. Meanwhile the cats arrange for Pippa to ‘find’ a cat which she calls Hocus Purrcus. When the wolf shifters, chameleons and vampires start arriving in the town it means trouble for Pippa. Especially when the alpha wolf knows she is his mate. Good read with a few laughs around the matchmaking cats and our main characters.
HORSESHOES AND FAIRY RINGS - Z.Z. Warlander
Falling asleep in a fairy ring led to Blaze’s life turning upside down. Or should I say turning into a horse. Falling under the spell of the fae but not quite fully leads to all sorts of complications. With the help of his friends Minho, a shifter, his girlfriend, who is a witch, and his new found human friend they go into the fae world to try and win Blaze’s freedom back. A great adventure with new found friends.
RETURN TO RAVENCROFT - Rebekah R. Ganiere
Neve is a witch but she has no clue. Her Grandma has seen to this. That is until warlock cousins Callum and Aegus turn up to try and encourage her to join their covens. But it all goes pear-shaped until her Grandma intervenes. A bit of a cliff hanger with this one but hopefully there will be a follow on as it’s a good story.
THE HARBINGER - Rebekah Lewis
Ravyn Corvus is a crow shifter but is still yet to change. She has been closely guarded by her family and now has escaped to a college on the other side of the country. When she gets there Daniel O’Connor catches her eye and she catches his. As she gets to know her room mate she suspects that she too has a ‘gift’. An intriguing story and I look forward to reading more in this series when it is released.
MOON SERVANT - Tera Lyn Cortez
This is the story of Annarah who as an orphan has been raised in the temple of Selene as a Moon servant. Believing that she is not important she finds out after the loss of her best friend that she is the key to confronting the danger that is coming. This is only part of the story but a good read nonetheless.
WHAT THE FANG? - Jo-Ann Carson
Rebel Black is a book nerd witch that runs Fangsters, a school for delinquent teenage vampires. When someone starts stealing fangs from the vampires it becomes her job to find the culprit. But how is she going to do that when she isn’t allowed in the vampire's sleep area. Not helped that she is being blackmailed and the head of security, Onyx is missing. A great supernatural who dunnit!
LIVING WITH MONSTERS - Cara North
Courtney buys a home that nobody else wants as it has a reputation for being haunted and a history of death. As she settles into her new home things go bump in the night. But all is not as it seems but will she be able to help the three ‘men’ stuck in the house? Lovely romantic story.
SANGUINES SHADOWS - Ezrabet Bishop
Mari is a witch who is juggling work and her schooling at the Montelier Supernatural Academy. All is going along nicely until one night she is attacked by a group of men who turn out to be rogue werewolves. Being left for dead, head vampire Roark and Fenris who is the Captain of the Guard for the Queen of the Dark Court come to her rescue and Roark turns her. Now being Roark’s only daughter she is under pressure to marry another vampire from a noble house, but she only has eyes for Fenris. Will she be able to convince him that he is hers?
FIRE WITCH - Gina Kincade & C.D. Gorri
Tana McKenna doesn’t trust anyone especially after her mother was murdered. Being a fire witch she potentially has a lot of power, but she is trying to conserve her energy for when her father needs her to help him. She tries to keep to herself but her roommates have other ideas. She suspects that all is not as it seems at the academy but as she tries to investigate she is hindered by one of the sentinels, Brandon who she is attracted to. When her father is arrested at the sight of her mother’s murder, Brandon, her three roommates and a few others try to resolve the problem.

Overall, I enjoyed this collection of paranormal stories (see my caveat below). The volume includes a number of my favorite authors (like Erzabet Bishop, Margo Bond Collins, C. D. Gorri, and Gina Kincade), while also introducing me to several new authors that I will be looking for more from. I greatly enjoyed the variety of supernatural beings, which include shifters, vampires, demons, dragons, fae, and of course, witches. The characters are engaging and the stories are compelling, with plenty of heat and steamy scenes, too. (Recommended for 18+). I enjoyed all the stories, but I was less enthused with those with cliffhangers. I understand the author wants to hook you into reading more of their books, but in a collection of short stories by different authors, I expect each story to be self-contained and complete. Most were, but not all. FYI.

This is a collection of authors that have gotten together to collaborate on this awesome collection. I am not familiar with all of the authors but just know that I will be looking for more of their books in the near the future. C.D. Gorri is a favorite author of mines in the paranormal realm so, when I saw her listed as a contributing author I knew I was in for a treat with “Fire Witch” . If you’re a fan of the paranormal world this is a collection that you will not want to miss out on. There is something in this collection for everyone’s reading pleasure. There are dragon shifters, demons, witches, vampire, magic, great characters along with great plots.

I enjoyed these magical tales, there are some excellent stories but also some cliffhangers, but I loved all the books. There are vampires, shifters, demons, dragons and the witches are the hero's mostly. This anthology gives you an opportunity to enjoy authors you might not have read before. I really liked For Shift's Sake, the prequel by Ariel Dawn and Margo Bond Colins. I will definitely read more from them. And of course I have my favorite authors in this anthology, Fire Witch by C.D. Gorri and Sanguine Shadows by Ezrabet Bishop. Wonderful Anthology, excellent stories, great read.

Wonderful set with stories from so many authors whose work I enjoy reading.

One of my favorites was Return to Ravenscroft by Rebekah R. Ganiere - Neve is a lovely woman with a strong affinity for plants. She's always rescuing them and bring them back to their fullest potential. On a rare night out with friends she meets a very handsome man, then a few days another. What's up with all that? lol Read it and find out. I for one can't wait for the rest of this series, and I just adore her Gran!!

Reviewing: Fowl Things by Lulu M Sylvian

I love short stories that still have good character building and story line! I knew from the cover that Pandora(Pan) was curvy but I never really figured out how curvy. The story takes place in a small town and not everyone knows about magic. Pan is a witch and she is in love with Merle. She assists in the archives and Merle is so caught up in helping a paying customer get rid of an unwanted entity that he is completely oblivious that Pan loves him. I won’t give away anymore but I really enjoyed this read.

If you have ever wondered if the paranormal was a genre that you wanted to try out then you couldn't go far wrong with this collection. If you already enjoy it then this will be a great addition. Here you will find some of the very best that there is to offer from the traditonal witches and warlocks right through to the more unusual of shifters. Each takes you on a different journey and the cast of characters is captivating. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Can't rave enough about this wonderful collection of thirteen stories. If you love Paranormal Romances Stories about magic entwined in the storyline, I recommend this collection. This collection included many of my favorite writers that I had a hard choice which story to read first. There were hours of pleasurable reading. The characters were personable in stories that were intriguing and entertaining. I volunteer to read and review this wonderful collection.

I chose to read these collection because I don't want to miss the stories of the authors I follow. Some of the authors in this collection are new to me and this is the best way to sample their writing. The authors did give us a taste of their writing.

The stories are of different lengths. Some are prequels, some are short stories by themselves, some stories to be continued.

The characters made for such an enjoyable read. The author of Fowl Things did a great job with naming Pandora; it gives the story a much more mysterious ambiance. Almost makes you wonder what the hidden meaning of her name will become, if there are future stories.

The characters all work well together to make the stories flow; which adds to the enjoyment of reading the book. The team work that the characters achieve to fight off evil, keep you enthralled in the stories, page by page.
