His connection to the Vlerick family severed, Fate returns to the royal capital hoping for a peaceful time, but he and Roxy are soon lured out to a nearby forest. There, they fall into an ancient monster’s trap that switches Fate and Roxy’s bodies! Sealed in Fate’s body and subject to Gluttony, Roxy faces death by starvation, while Fate is powerless! How will they survive the spell, and if they do, can they withstand the monster?
There's always an amount I wonder whether "girl displays openly physical attraction toward other girl, as per normally happens in manga for what reason" is LGBTQ+ or just a cheap fetish thing, but I'll tag anyway with this disclaimer at the top. I suppose I could rework my shelves to be more specific, but would anyone REALLY care?
The story takes a significant departure in this volume, with a thing between Fate and Roxy. I... suppose that's at least sort of different, in that ! It's different-ish, anyway.
Otherwise, still kind of the same power creep, especially after they entered the whole "Domain of E" thing (which I think the anime commenters theorised had something to do with scientific notation... makes sense, with all the high numbers no longer having any conceivable meaning). Still B-tier, even animated, though of course any show with flashy fight sequences will always have an audience, despite the absurdity of the plot.
I don't HATE the series, clearly, if it's still on my shelf when stuff like World Trigger, which I LIKE, gets read once then thrown in a free library. I just feel like I've already invested the shelf space now, so I'll get the entire run, then binge it at once, THEN donate the lot.
(This DOES assume it doesn't magically go on for 100+ volumes like Naruto or One Piece, though, but I think I would actively find a stopping point if it DID.)
