Chalk full of illustrations this book will have your imagination running wild! Such a fun book to read and look through while coming up with your own explanation of what’s going on in each scene! Spooky Fun Read!!
Wonderful illustrations that are rich in detail that children and adults will instantly be able to follow the storyline. An original book well worth a look
Alien Farm: Scary Stories For Kids was a very unique afternoon read with the grandkids. First of all there are no words in the book. Say what? Wordless it is and wonderful too, because the reader is aloud to create their own story (and as scary or not too scary) as they read. It’s wonderfully illustrated, basically black and white pictures with yellow here and there to highlight alien activities. Unique and entertaining, especially for those with vivid imaginations.
I really like the idea of this picture book! The artwork is fantastic too! I believe there is a purpose for only putting pictures without words in a book for readers who are 8-12. It will be great to specify the purpose in the introduction section so that readers know what the book is for. Perhaps students can use the book to work on creative writing based on how they understand the story? I would use the book in this way for my students! :)
I came across this book, and decided to read with my son, who loves all things spooky! I thought it was awesome that it’s a wordless book as we were kept so engaged and had to use the illustrations and our imaginations to tell the story! The illustrations are really beautiful an indeed scary. This was perfect to get in the spirit of Halloween!
This wordless book encourage creative writing and expression in children. I think that will be a good addition to any class for that purpose and also at home. The illustrations has lot of movement that keep you engage and want more.
I love unconventional things! As a creative writing teacher, I see so much potential in this book as inspiration for children! Since it’s wordless, the reader must make sense of the pictures and create their own narrative. I love that!
Words are not the only form of communication - wordless picture books also engage children in storytelling and critical thinking. As wordless books tell stories without text, they are an excellent tool for building comprehension and literacy skills. The author of ALIEN FARM can definitely show young readers how to build a basic story structure - the narrative successfully follows the beginning/middle/end format. Colour palette is wonderful - nothing is more spooky than the yellow-black combination. Illustrations are a good fit for the narrative and the characters are memorable. I expected a more powerful ending - no matter scary or funny. Overall the publication can help children identify objects, animals, aliens, and actions and spark young readers' imaginations. I received a free copy of the book from the author.
Alien Farm: Scary Stories For Kids is a phenomenal, enchanting, thrilling, shocking, scary, unexpected, and unique read! This book is an incredibly fun spooky story. It speaks solely through its illustrations which are more than enough to captivate its audience. In black and white with dashes of yellow it is clear this story takes place in the dead of night.
Questions popped into my head as I was reading this book. Some are answered and some are left unanswered. Although the reason for the alien invasion is unknown, one thing is clear this farm will never be the same.
If you child loves spooky stories which aren't too fighting, books which speak through its illustrations alone, farm animals/farm life, and mysteries this book is for them!

i enjoy wordless picture books as it engages young readers and allows them to interpret illustrations and messages in the story. This book allowed readers to describe scenes, make inferences and predictions. This book is well illustrated and the pictures definitely made the scenes appear scary. Well done!
I've never read a wordless story before. I can definitely see how this will engage a child to use the pictures to figure out what is going on in the story. The illustrations are well done and set a spooky mood. This is for older little ones that like spooky stories.
Awesome! The writer's idea for a wordless book is innovative as it can stimulate children's critical thinking, but I wish he could add so clues. I received a copy of the book from the author for free.
Something spooky for the kids who love this genre! I love how it allows the readers to unleash their imaginations out of the illustrations because it is a wordless book. The illustrations are very captivating!
I love the artwork! This is a very unique book that reminds me of graphic novels but without the text. It truly allows the reader's imagination to run free. Honestly, each page could tell a story on its own, that is the magic of wordless books. Ideal for reluctant readers who enjoy alien stories.
A quick, kid-friendly spooky read that leans more playful than scary. The story and illustrations keep things light while still feeling fun and mysterious.
