Loved this series more and more as it went on. Love the descriptive language Selina uses, and the world she created. The characters are written so well, and I enjoyed reading as each character developed more.
This series had me laughing out loud, clutching my chest with shock, getting mad at a character, and constantly had me wondering what the outcome would be. I thought I'd cry towards the end but for once I surprisingly didn't! But my heart broke along with the characters.
Definitely will read again and recommend!

This was a solid YA paranormal urban fantasy series, i enjoyed the variations of monsters the author created, it was different and refreshing, the whole shift concept according to the type of monster they are facing was such a fun idea, it ended up giving the story another angle. Another aspect i enjoyed was the dream concept majorly in the first two books, as part of the creature Evelyn was, similarities to a dragon in terms of the hoarding possessive dreaming nature of the dragons.
I also enjoyed the slow burn between Rylan and Evelyn as well as the other characters like Rushelle, Liam, Cherry, Harper, etc.

We ha e the end to the series, but you never know it could lead to a new story. So much going on it this book. Can they stop the people wanting to open the demension? What will happen if it opens? Who will die who will live? Can they protect everyone? What will happne to Everly? Will her dragon become more and out of control?.

I’ve decided to review these four books as a complete series as I think it does them more justice as a whole, plus I was too busy getting them read to stop and review each one, and now I wouldn’t really remember where one finished and the next one started. 🤦
We start with Everly returning to her hometown of Shroudhaven after her mother’s death, with her larger-than-life social media star and best friend Tammy. Everly is full of anxieties and fear as she is returning to a house that was never really a home, bringing up memories of her family that she never felt love by but also another family that was never hers, but where she felt more loved until it all fell apart.
Everly and Tammy soon get themselves caught up in events that they could never have prepared themselves for, finding out that there is a whole other world that they have been totally oblivious to, threatening not only their very existence, but the lives of everyone they hold dear.
Along the journey there are a host of other characters that you will come to love, and of course those you’d like to see karma take a massive chunk out of. There’s the gorgeous best friend from her childhood (constantly in her dreams), his heroic brother, the warrior mother, the smut writing house matriarch, brooding teenager (what fantasy could be without one of those), cheerful friend and then there’s Denny…definitely a one of a kind….thankfully. Of course, there are monsters and enemies, even a zombie animal or two, and as you can imagine, things are not always as they seem.
Books one through to three (I rated four stars each) are entertaining, enthralling and will have you wanting to know what happens next, and I found them well written and enjoyable, then I got to book four. Well, book four picked up the pace dramatically and I found it extremely difficult to put down as there was just so many exciting things happening. I think this is why Everdark Cursed was my favourite (I rated five stars) of the series….fast-paced and action-packed. Yes, there were favourites lost during the battles and through heart aching betrayal, but there were also many moments of humour and a few additions as well.
Overall, I would recommend the Beshadowed series as I did enjoy the stories, adventures and finding out how it all ended.

I absolutely love this series by Selina Fenech, but that wasn't a surprise because I love all of her Fantasy series and have read most of them.
Her writing really makes the characters come to life, it's like you when you read her books you are in the middle of her stories and you actually are living in that fantasy, or you can imagine it clearly as if you are watching a film. This series was absolutely amazing, really exciting, you couldn't stop reading, the characters were amazing and the plot was really thrilling and exciting. I would reccomend this book to everyone!.

Selena has truly outdone herself with this perfectly ended series. Action packed from page 1, it has undoubtedly left me absolutely sobbing. I have followed Everly, Harper and Rylan's journey from the very first book and have been in awe at how much they have all overcome to get to where they are now. With soo much love, laughter and happiness it overshadowed the heartaches but barely. Because without both, there is no balance. This book was truly an honour to read and I am soo heartbroken to say goodbye to amazing characters that I have grown to love over the years.

This is the final book in this series, and wow, what a ride! Now, there are things happening… no, but I can’t say that for fear of spoiling anything, and I don’t want to do that. I’ll just tell you that there are a lot of emotions involved! I really sat on the edge of my seat the entire time, sometimes mumbling no no no… I was so invested in this story, with these characters! What a brilliant read!

Thank you Selina for sharing your talent with us. This series was a page turner from book one! I am sad for the story to end but what a ending!!!! I recomend this series to all Selina's fans, and if you are not one you will become one after reading this. The characters were true to themselfs from the start very charming and well rounded.

Oh my goodness the ending to this series. I cried so many times worrying about Everly and her friends. I was scared for her and her sanity. I was mad at the Darkfrey leader. This was a good but sad ending to the series. I would love to read more stories before during and after for some of the different characters in the books. Thank you.

This is a wonderful addition to this thrilling series!
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable.
Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story.

The last book of the series! And it provided a great emotional ending. Everly, Harper and Rylan battling creatures from the everdark and then some others. Not about to leave any spoilers here so I can only say it was a great pleasure to read the series. Highly recommended!

Everly and all are back for more action and adventure as they try to stay out of trouble. So much trouble leads to twists and turns as I was glued to the end to see how it would all end. Entertaining and fun to read.

This entire series was absolutely amazing. All the characters, each individually wouldn’t work. But, together they were unstoppable.

Although this is YA it feels quite juvenile and written for a younger audience. It was a different magic system which could have been explained much better. I read the entire series and because of that I will give a generous 3 stars.

I really enjoyed this series, the characters pulled me in from the beginning. The whole world in this series was fresh and new to me and I enjoyed learning more right with Everly all along the way. This was a satisfying ending to the series.
