A tragic moment, a new Mate, and a vicious plot of revenge.
Xayla Louis, a lone wolf, thinks she’s in control of her life, and her inner wolf, until the day she runs into Alpha Evander of Wind River…her Mate.
Within hours, Xayla’s life crashes around her, putting events in motion that leave her alone among strangers. Xayla struggles to maintain her sense of identity and her place in a pack. Will Xayla be able to control her wolf and navigate this new world?
Will Alpha Evander be able to find and claim her as his? Or will one mistake cost Xayla her life, or the life of someone she loves?
This book stirs up a storm of emotions and may occasionally leave you feeling frustrated enough to throw something. I deeply relate to the grief that Xayla endures. Each character encounters their own distinct challenges at different points in the narrative. I had sympathy for Eve, while Stevens received the consequences he warranted. Ultimately, I found myself enjoying every character in the story.
*I said I was up for a chase. * *You keep your dirty wolfcapades to yourself. *
Shit ending. The number of pages is wrong by 30. Typos throughout, dialogue is so unrealistic to how anyone would speak. Props to writing a book and somehow getting it published but you need an editor, this felt like a draft.
I loved this book and although I cried in the end. I get that Authors pour their hearts into their books and sometimes we are just not in a space to make it all fuzzy and warm. The story was captivating and the villain was written in such a way that you wish you could take him out yourself.
This book made me laugh, want to cry, yell, made me happy and sad. To say I hate the villain is an understatement! He is awful! Katy did a great job writing them to where you truly get that hatred. But then there are so many other loveable characters! I love Evander so much! He is so caring and understanding. Poor guy goes through so much. And Xayla! She has not had an easy life. She is strong willed and stubborn but I wonderful character, one of my favs! I recommend checking it out!
