The world of magic and violence that Sam and Samantha live in is never simple nor easy, but when witch Jalice turns up, demanding that Samantha Demonslayer take responsibility for the situation in New Orleans, the politics are about to go off the charts, and so is the body count.

Meanwhile, Jason is up to his neck in demon trouble, but the odd part is that its the demon who is in trouble, and it's a human causing it. Working without a net is going to get him killed, or at least stuck in a basement for a good long while, so he's got to up his game and find some people to back him up when Sam and Samantha are off saving the world again. As things start to converge and problems multiply, new friends and old friends are going to go up against new enemies and old ones to try to get to the bottom of what's happening in New Orleans and beyond. They always walk a tight rope, when it comes to battles like this, but this time if they fall, the whole war may be lost.

I may have mentioned before that this is my all time favourite author and all time favourite series.
This book number 12 , I think , is the longest.
It is so easy to gel with the characters. Even if you read a lot of books, like I do, it takes no time at all to get back into the “ feeling “ of oneness with them all.
This time we had the extra bonus of old favorite characters from other series joining the cast.

So much attention to detail and so all encompassing.
My words feel so inadequate in describing the depth that this story goes into but it’s such a joy to read. It literally takes over and transports me to another world. I especially love the “ Paradise plane”. A true” chill” place that we could all do with.
Chloe has exceeded herself with this one.
I loved it so, I hope you will too.

I know it isn’t the end

This book was so good. I love Spake he is such a crazy character. I love Sam and Sam. I love Jason and the people he is gathering. Carter and Abby, I would love to see deeper into that storyline.
