A home renovation show brings them together ~ will they update more than an apartment?

Paige

I need my independence.

My parents’ apartment is a battlefield, and I can’t wait to escape. So, when my brother’s best friend asks me to partner with him on a home renovation reality show competition, I’m all in.

The fact that I’m wildly attracted to him and he seems determined to friendzone me is irrelevant. It’s not like I need a new romance.

Or so I thought…

Jesse

I’ve been living someone else’s life.

When my sister died, I fulfilled her potential. I never really focused on my own.

Until now.

With Paige’s help, I have a shot at finally making my dreams come true. I know I have what it takes to be a great carpenter.

But do I have what it takes to keep my mind—and hands—off Paige?

Seems unlikely…

They’re complete opposites with nothing in common but a little forced proximity, and an incredibly inconvenient attraction. Will competition bring them closer to happily ever after—or heartbreak?

For as long as Arell Rivers remembers, she has been lost in a book. During her senior year in college, she picked up a romance novel … and instantly was hooked.

She started writing her first novel, No One to Hold, because the characters were screaming at her to do so. The story started coming out in Arell’s dreams and attacking her in the shower, so she took to the computer to shut them up. But they kept talking.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Arell has what some may call a “checkered past.” Prior to discovering her passion for writing romance, she practiced law, was a wedding and event planner and even dabbled in marketing. She lives with a very supportive husband and two mischievous cats. When not in her writing cave, Arell can be found making dinner in the crock pot, working out with Shaun T or hitting the beach.

She hopes you enjoy her stories about flawed men, strong women and the passions that ignite!

Idle is a steamy romance about Paige and Jesse. Jesse has a love for carpentry, even though he is working as a banker full-time. When an opportunity comes that can make Jesse's dream come true on a home renovation show, he jumps at the chance. The only problem is, he needs a partner that knows interior design. Here enters Paige. Paige is his friends sister, and seems a little bit unsure of her life. With each other's help they have a shot at making their dreams come true, both in life and love.

This is a friends to lovers, brother's best friend, opposites attract romance. I was amazed at how much chemistry Paige and Jesse had, even when they were just working together and getting to know each other.

Paige was a bit pretentious to me at first, she didn't seem to understand the world and how it worked, based on the privilege she came from. It could have easily become a spoiled princess scenario, but she really seemed to come into her own while on the renovation show. Jesse, I think, was a sweet guy, but he seemed to be encumbered by the expectations of his family, and living a life that wasn't really his to live. It was sad to see how much he doubted himself and how his inner monologue was so negative because of his history. When they were able to overcome their doubts, their heat, and passion was amazing.

This was a great story in the Sins of Our Father's series and I can't wait to continue in this series! Thank you to the author for a copy of this book. All opinions are 100% mine.

Paige is the spoiled little rich girl (using the family car service for a few blocks!) whose life is upending thanks to her father's possible legal problems. Suddenly her trust fund might be in jeopardy so she needs a source of income and she can't stand her parents arguments any longer so she needs to move out. Luckily she has talent as an interior designer and the profit from her last house flip.

Jesse has been living his dead sister's dream and fulfilling his father's expectations all his life. He has a successful career in banking but his heart and true talents lie in being a carpenter. When fate throws them together as contestants on a reality home renovation show their career dreams could come true. For two people who are opposites the romantic sparks are soon flying.

Arell's story gives us a backstage view of what happens on a tv reality show, including the flirting, bickering and personality clashes you might expect but also how stressful competing against other teams can be.

Paige and Jesse soon recognise each other's talents and work together to create the best space they can while at the same time becoming increasingly unable to ignore the feelings that are growing between them. Jesse wants to put his career first but Paige is such a flirt and a tease that eventually he is unable to resist her and wow their chemistry is smoking hot!

Arell is a wonderful story teller and Idle is one in a long line of my favourite books from her. I was totally engrossed from beginning to end, wondering if they would win the competition and would if they would finally fall in love forever. Arell throws a few unexpected twists and turns into the story that kept me on my toes and gave the story a very interesting ending.

Sometimes the perfect person for you is who you least expected it to be...

You'd be surprised how much you can have in common with someone completely different from you. This is Paige and Jesse's story in a nutshell. Their story is wonderful and exceptional. At first you can't imagine how they would be attracted to each other with all their differences, but they are. Paige is at an impasse in her life. She wants to flip houses but has become uninspired after only flipping one project so far.

Jesse is expected to be a banker in his parents' eyes. He wants to follow his sister's dreams, but at the same time realizes he has no desire to go down that path. Paige and Jesse decide to go on a reality TV home improvement show as a team. Sparks fly between them, but in the back of Jesse's mind he hears Theo telling him that his sister is "hands off". Also, Theo is Jesse's best friend.

Their story has romance, a lot of steam and soul searching by both of them. There is also a surprise that will knock your socks off. This is my favorite so far in the series.

A home improvement reality show turned love story!

Idle is the fourth book in the series and features Paige, sister of Theo from Anger (Book 2) and "cousin" of Xander from Pride (Book 3). Paige is not involved in the family corporate business drama introduced earlier in this series and is trying to make her way as a designer/ house flipper. Her first attempt was very successful and gave her a taste of independence away from her over bearing parents with whom she still lives.

Jesse is Theo's best friend and a successful banker. Unfortunately he is living the life his sister wanted before her death. Jesse feels like he has to step into her role in banking to continue the family tradition set by his father. His passions, however, are in carpentry and woodworking and he has a real talent. When presented with an opportunity to step away from his job for a few weeks to be on a reality show flipping an apartment he is quick to find a way for it to work Unfortunately he needs a teammate - enter Paige.

Jesse approaches Paige who is less than enthusiastic about it. Her family has enough drama and being on a reality show with even more attention doesn't seem like her idea of fun but it does give her the chance to flip another property and potentially get a show of her own with Jesse.

The attraction between the two is palpable from the beginning but neither acts on it. Paige finds Jesse lacking in manners and Jesse is "threatened" by Theo and Xander not to touch Paige. Ultimately the two throw caution to the wind and explore what is between them but the pressure of the show threatens to end them before the have a chance to really begin.

This book as a host of characters and even more family drama continued from the first books. The other contestants on the show are interesting and provide good competition to Paige and Jesse on the show.

I received an advance review copy of this book and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The VOW-cubed kids story continues and this time it is Paige “Little Bit” Hansen, the youngest of the “O” in VOW .. Ogden Hansen. She needs and wants to get out from under her father’s roof BUT she has only had one housing flip and being an interior designed .. one flip doesn’t make you a fortune. So when her brother and cousin suggest she does an new up and coming Renovation TV competition show with one of their NYC Business School friends she hopes this is her way out !!

Jesse Dimon is a banker and his heart really isn’t with banking BUT he made a promise to himself to carry on his sister’s dream of being banker just like Homer. Except he does very well with his ETSY store Handmade by JD and when this opportunity of the reality show comes up he knows he needs to try and prove to himself and Homer he is more than just a young, smart, intelligent Banker because Carpentry is in his heart.

So why not become a force to be reckoned with .. a talented and brilliant Carpenter and a smart and beautiful Interior Designer and WIN this thing !! Except when feelings get involved it could ruin everything OR make it SOOOO MUCH BETTER !! Even though Jesse was warned off by Paige’s brother and cousin that she was hands off, sometimes when you spend 24 hours a day, 6 weeks together things can happen !!

We always know there is a BUT in there somewhere and YES it comes in the form of a Cowboy from Texas names Bo and he and Mary Ellen, his partner will do anything to win the competition or shall I just say Bo will do anything !!

Can Jesse and Paige keep it together to win this or will they go back to there unhappy jobs and life ?? The chemistry these two have and the love of remodeling is off the charts or shall we say .. off he RATINGS !! Can’t wait for more ! Ohhhhh .. and can I say now how much Ogden will get what he deserves !! LOVED IT !! Arell DID IT AGAIN !!

Idle, an interesting title in this ever-moving family saga of WOW-cubed investigation and family fall-out. The author brings us into Paige’s life in this novel, a young woman who has been living with her parents in the midst of their legal turmoil. Banking (literally) on her trust fund, she has flipped” a house recently and with minor success, and would like to expand construction into her resume along with the interior design. When Paige discovers that all of her family assets are frozen, she turns on the only other alternative she has…participating in a reality TV show with her brother’s friend, whom she doesn’t know well and gives off serious negative vibes. BUT, it will solve her money woes, although she knows her construction inexperience will count against her and her family drama is a key reason they may want her to participate.
Jesse is our banker turned construction developer. Although climbing the corporate ladder his real love is designing and rebuilding units. He knows in his heart that if he places and wins on the Reality TV show “Renovation TV”, he’ll make a name for himself, share a bundle of money with Paige and get to host the show. Most of all, he can quit his day job. The only hitch is that he needs a partner, and Paige is his best alternative after other contacts turned him down.
Amid quirky co-contestants, family drama and the usual construction issues, Paige and Jesse grow to appreciate each other and find their differences, well, aren’t so different.
Idle incorporates more of Paige’s family issues and background than some of the previous books, and I felt more in tune with the background flow of the story, as well as past characters. As much as Idle can be read as a stand-alone, I’d recommend starting at the beginning with Vice, to soak up all of the drama and rationale of this family drama.

Sins of the Father Continued

The latest book from the Arell Rivers “Sins of the Father” Series. It is a must read not only for her fans, but for fans of a wonderfully told story.

Paige is the daughter of a family whose life is in the public, thanks to her father and uncles, who are at the heart of an FBI investigation for their illegal business practices at VOW-Cubed.  All she wants to do is lead a normal life doing what she loves; flip property and perform the renovations.  Oh yeah, and gain her independence. She’s still living at home and desperately wants to be out from under all the pressures of her family.

Enter Jesse, a banker and friend of her brother’s. He has been so busy leading a life that isn’t his that he’s about to choke under the praise and recent promotion at the bank.  His family feels he is doing everything he’s supposed to, gaining prominence and doing something reputable.  Unfortunately, Jesse is doing it only to keep his family happy; and to honor his sister. What Jesse really wants is to make a living doing what he loves; carpentry.

When a once in a lifetime opportunity presents itself, Jesse convinces Paige, to become his partner on Renovation TV, He convinced her that they can have the things they both so desperately want. After some hard selling, Paige agrees.

As they grow to know each other during their time on the TV show, they learn a lot about themselves as well. Like the fact they both work together well and have a growing attraction to each other.

Arell weaves a story that allows the reader to feel the emotion of each of her characters. A HEA story that can be read by itself or as the continuation of the great series. IDLE it is a must read for lovers of romance.

Idle (Sins of the Fathers #4) by Arell Rivers is a contemporary forced-proximity opposites-attract romance told in first person dual POV.

Paige needs her independence to escape the constant fighting at home. Ever since the public scandal at VOW-cubed Media involving her father and uncles’ alleged illegal business dealings, her parents have been at each other’s throats. So when her brother’s friend Jesse offers her an interior design opportunity that will keep her away from home for up to six weeks, she accepts. Paige isn’t a designer, but she’s flipped a house and did the design work herself. Hopefully, her skills will be good enough to help Jesse out.

Jesse is a banker who’s been living sister’s dream, but carpentry is what he really loves to do. When he finds out about an upcoming competition show on Renovation TV, Jesse needs an interior designer to apply with him if he wants to compete. This opportunity could make his dreams come true, but Jesse has asked everybody he knows, and they’ve all turned him down. When his friend suggests he partner with Paige, she’s his last hope.

I enjoyed Paige and Jesse’s story. As characters, they were both believable and likable. They had tons of chemistry, and when they weren’t driving each other crazy, they made a great team. I’m looking forward to Quinn’s story and the next book in the series.

Another fantastic read by Arell Rivers. Jessie is working for a bank in a position he has no desire working. But he feels obligated. Since the death of his sister, he has put his dreams on hold and become what his sister dreamed of being. His dream is to become a carpenter and build furniture. His true passion.
Having a chance to be on this reality show and the possibility of winning he can finally prove to his father this is what he has dreamed to do and not sit behind a desk in an office. Paige agrees to partner with him as a way to get away from her parents and not be subjected to the constant yelling and fighting. She has flipped one house and was successful. Although she does not see her own talent. Working with Jessie he sees her talent and tells her every chance he gets. They work well together. He tries to hide his attraction for her since he was “warned” by her brother and cousin that she is off limits. She takes it as he is not attracted to her. She is unaware of the warning from her brother and cousin.
Idle is such an amazing read. I could not put it down. The chemistry between Jessie and Paige is what kept me going and never wanting the book to end. Arell Rivers gives her readers so much more that we expect. Her characters are so real. I can guarantee once you start reading Idle you will not put it down until the final word. I did not see the ending coming and I cannot wait for her next release.

Wow - Paige and Jesse's story is awesome!
Book 4 in the Sins of the Fathers series and the one I have enjoyed the most.

Paige is pampered and spoilt, lacking direction and does not truly know what she wants to do with her life. She has successfully 'flipped' a house but is not confident in her design skills and really just wants to get out of the toxic atmosphere in her parent's house as they deal with scandal.

Jesse loves carpentry but works as a banker, carrying a lot of guilt arising from the death of his sister. He has a shot at fulfilling his own dreams on a reality tv show but needs a compentent partner in order to do so. They are brought together by Jesse's friends who also happen to be Paige's brother and cousin (Theo and Xander have their own stories in previous books in this series).

Arell has also given us some very believable supporting characters who are woven into this story, which at times had me shouting and wanting to throw the Kindle across the room - Bo I'm looking at you!

Idle follows Paige and Jesse in their journey of self-discovery and growth and sizzling attraction as it plays out in front of the cameras. Will they win the show, will love triumph?

Watch out for a sneaky little cliffhanger featuring Quinn - her book is next and I can't wait to read it!

Stephannie's 4-Star Review:
This story is about Paige and Jesse. Jesse has a love for carpentry, but out of survivor's guilt and his father's pressure, he is a banker.  Jesse wants to enter a home renovation show, but he needs a partner with interior design knowledge. Paige has flipped houses before and she is his friend's sister. She is a hot mess right now and doing something like this show with Jesses would be a great escape from living at home while her father deals with his legal issues.

I really enjoyed this book. These were some parts I didn't love and I didn't understand why Jesse called his parents by their first names and it wasn't really explained. I loved Paige and Jesse's chemistry. They had a connection from the start but he didn't check the boxes off her list and didn't give her a lot of attention that she sought out.  So she enjoyed Bo's attention; I didn't understand that at all. Paige needed to grow up and I think by the end she did. But there were parts where I questioned what she was doing. She got mad over ridiculous things. Jesse was found Paige very attractive and they got along and enjoyed each other but she was supposed to be off limits so he didn't pursue her.
This was a good story in the Sins of Our Father series and I can't wait to continue in this series and see what happens after that mini cliffhanger ending.

Arell River's Idle is the 4th book in the Sins of the Father's series. Idle is about the younger sister of Theo and his college friend Jessie who works in finance but loves carpentry and building furniture. Since the fates of the three business executives of WOW media conglomerate's situations go from bad to worse when all their funds are seized and frozen by the government, Paige realizes she needs another income source than her frozen trust fund. Jessie has the perfect solution for her to partner with him in a reality tv show where they flip a New York apartment. The prize is recognition for their carpentry and interior design work, with the grand prize hosting their tv show. Jessie is warned off romancing Paige by Theo (Paige's brother) and Xander (a family friend) as being untouchable. What can go wrong? Paige and Jessie's slow-burn attraction heats up as the show and works on the apartment's progress. Will they, as a couple, explode or implode? Can Paige help her family's tarnished reputation? Will Jessie's carpentry work and furniture finally be sought after and become lucrative enough so he can leave the world of banking? This book was so much fun to read. It was pure enjoyment. The next book in the series, Sinful Beats, will be a crossover novella to introduce a new rockstar series.

Idle by Arell Rivers is the fourth book in the Sins of the Father series. It is a slow burn, forced proximity trope that definitely brings the “opposites attract” expression to life. It is sexy, funny and angsty and I loved it. Jesse, our hero, might just be my new favorite from this series and that’s saying something.

The story focuses on Paige and Jesse. Two very different people thrust together by a project that interests them both and could help their personal situations if they are successful. From their first meet, I could feel the tension. But author Arell Rivers had me laughing at Paige’s inner dialogue. Judgy, much?

The banter between them is awesome. Funny, snarky filled with innuendo and sarcasm. The push/pull is potent. I love that it is written In alternating POV betI enjoy being in each of their heads. Jesse is Paige’s brother’s best friend and is trying to respect the “off limits” bro code but it’s really hard.

I love their journey and how they complement each other. Their story is steamy, funny, sweet with twists that will keep you turning pages to the end! Great seeing our characters, from the other books as they are integral to the story arc but this book can 100% be read as a standalone.

Kudos to author Arell Rivers for another fabulous story. Looking forward to Quinn’s book coming soon!!

Idle is the fourth installment on the Sins of the Fathers Series by Arell Rivers. Paige and Jessie were both introduced in earlier books but were not truly developed until now. We truly get to know both in this book, both their past and their present. The story is well paced but at times too predictable almost to the point that it seemed as if I had read it or something very similar before.

Paige and Jesse do not like each other at all at their first meeting but both were attracted to the other making them both have conflicting emotions. Jesse's were worse because his best friends warned him to stay away from her. She was their baby sister and cousin.

Paige and Jesse are both very talented and work very well together. Their back and forth banter is very enjoyable and you can see their attractions growing with each passing day but that does not mean that things go smoothly along the way.

The finale of the Renovation show is disappointing but mostly to me it was confusing. So much after the finale is concentrated on the winners' tv show something that I personally so not remember being mentioned before.

This, like all of Ms. Rivers books has an HEA but it comes so late that we don't get to learn what happens next or get to see the much talked about and long awaited weddings of Theo and Xander. It is an enjoyable read as are all of Ms. Rivers books.

This is an Awesome story about Jesse and Paige. Jesse is working as a banker. Jesse was trying to live the life he thought his family expected of him. Paige is a house flipper and is staying at her parents apartment [which is a battlefield]. An awesome opportunity comes along that can make Jesse's dream come true and it is on a home renovation show. Jesse jumps at the chance but, he needs a partner and someone who knows Interior Design and that is where Paige come in. Jesse has to convince her to do the show with him. Paige doesn't care for Jesse much as she thinks he is a Neanderthal but, doing the reality tv show with him could be her ticket out of her parents hectic world for a few weeks. So Jesse and Paige got picked for the show. Doing the tv show together was great for both Jesse and Paige as the chemistry between them built up great. Can Paige and Jesse win the contest and will their chemistry continue?? To find out you truly need to read this book!! I truly loved this book and looking forward to the next book in the "Sins Of The Fathers Series"!! I received an ARC of this book from the author in return for voluntarily writing an honest review.

I love a good slow burn and this one meets it in spectacular fashion! Paige and Jesse have great chemistry but the threat of her family keeps him at bay. Jesse did a great job and pushing his feelings for Paige back every time they were close to starting something. It was almost the patience of a saint if you ask me. Paige was getting frustrated as she thought she was finally getting somewhere with him but he would pull back. They both needed to concentrate on the competition and hopefully fulfill both of their dreams.

I think I connected with Jesse a lot as my sister was also taken too soo in the same manner and it made me feel for him and what he is going through. Paige was raised differently but some of the same and was finally getting out from under her father's thumb and pursuing her passion. I mean it is hard enough when you family is in the spotlight due to a scandal that having a camera on you pretty much 24/7 trying to keep your feelings in check is hard to do.

This is an HEA and I can't wait for the next installment when we find out more about Quinn the host of the renovation show and how her connection is playing a part.

Jesse Dimon has a passion and a gift for designing furniture and woodwork. Paige Hanson is somewhat directionless—she flipped a house a while back, and loved it, but doesn’t have anything new to work on. What she does have is a ‘list’— a test of sorts that only she knows about — and she gauges potential relationships against that list. Jesse fails spectacularly, so she hardly listens when he proposes a partnership to try to win a spot on a reality TV show that will feature design and build teams that will redo a group of similarly distressed apartments in New York City. But when things go south for her parents’ relationship and with the lawsuit against Vow3 media, she decides to take him up on the offer. They actually make a great team. And they like and respect each other.

This is a fun story! You will enjoy the banter and the back-and-forth dynamics between Paige and Jesse. There’s a little bit of heartache in the telling, but the ending is worth it! There are also some interesting surprises in store for readers as well!

Sometimes we assume someone is idle because theyre not doing what we expect of them. However, many times once we find our true purpose idle can take on a new meaning.
We are just biding our time until our destiny takes off.
Never is this more true than for Jesse and Paige.
Paige is trying to find her way. Holding a job and finding her forever place has eluded her for quite a while.
Jesse knows what he wants and is biding his time hoping to be able to move forward to his true destiny.
Presently both are idling.

Together they start to renovate more than just an apartment. They begin to renovate each other.
This is a slow burn with a lot of heat.

I don’t do spoilers. It’s not fair to the author. Read for yourself to get the full enjoyment.
This is the fourth book of this series but it can be read by itself.
I’m sure once you read it you’ll go back and read the other books in the series.

You’ll laugh, tear up, feel the heat and be drawn in the VOW world.
Seriously, we could all idle for awhile because I’m sure we all could use some renovations.

Another win for this series!!!

This is such an amazing series.

In book four we learn more about Jesse Dimon and Paige Hansen.

Paige is an interior designer who just recently flipped her first home.

Jesse is a banker who loves to work with his hands and wood to create unique pieces of furniture.

When Paige's brother Theo, who is also Jesse's friend along with Xander and both of their significant others, plan a meeting between the two of them with the hopes that they will tryout for a reality renovation show to showcase their talents by renovating an apartment, they decide to go for it.

It allows Paige to get away from her bickering parents and Jesse to really showcase his talent on national television and finally do what he's dreamed of doing since his first woodworking class in high school.

This is definitely a slow burn 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
Lot's of passion and plenty of eyebrow raises and a twist you may not see coming at the end.

A definite read with a happy ever after.
May be read as a stand-alone.

This was a great story that was engaging, entertaining and a page turning must read. When Paige and Jesse first meet you think they would never end up getting along. But as they decide to go for it on the TV show that's where the real entertainment is as they wade their way thru everything while competing for a chance at new careers.. The way that Paige and Jesse support each other is fantastic until it isn't. Creating their angst and drama they need to get thru and when they finally get to the other side oh so worth every page to get their. I'm loving this series by Arell Rivers and the appearances of Theo, Xander, Amelia and Chloe along with other family members keeps this series entertaining. I'm looking forward to the next book as each one is more entertaining that the previous one. You definitely don't want to miss out on the latest release in this series.

This is a brilliant addition to this series.
Jesse loves carpentry but is living the life of his deceased sister as a banker. When an opportunity to appear on a reality TV show renovating an apartment he wants to apply but needs an interior designer.
Paige wants to expand her property flipping portfolio but doesn't believe in her own skills so when Jesse asks her to be his partner on the show she initially turns him down. But when her trust fund is frozen because of the FBI case against her father and family she changes her mind.
Their creative juices flow together and they make it through to the final. They also start yo get closer and their chemistry is electric.
I loved how they were together but can it lead to more if they don't win the competition.
Plenty of drama and so much emotion with a few twists but can they get their HEA.
A must read.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Paige is a house flipper and desperately needs a reprieve from her family's business scandal. Jesse is an unfulfilled banker - want to be carpenter who runs a small furniture business on the side. When Jesse hears of a design/renovation show looking for contestants he decides to look for a partner and confides in his friends (Paige's brother and cousin). They introduce the couple and together they decide to enter the show. They are both excited that their team is chosen and leaving their current unhappy situations they start the competition. Jesse's instantly attracted to Paige, but Paige ... not so much. During their daily renovations they start to look at each other in a different light and things suddenly get hot and steamy. Loved the story line. The characters were delightful, and I always love a HEA.

I enjoyed reading this story! This is the 4 book in the Sins of the Father series and it is about Paige & Jesse. Jesse is banker but loves carpentry but he is fighting demons and when the chance to go on the Renovation TV he wants to go for it but needs a partner so he ask Paige if she will do it with him. Paige did flip a house so she told him she will think about it. When Paiges parent are fighting again she says yes to be able to be away from them. Jesse & Paige are picked to do the show and the way Arell describes what Jesse and Paige are doing I can picture it in my head as I am reading. I love watching those kinds of show so reading about this was good. Paige also learns a secret her father is keeping but I won't tell you you will have to just reading this story , I look forward to the next book Sinful Beats 2023 can't come so enough. I highly recommend this book!!!!!

An unlikely pair sizzles with chemistry! A quirky take on a brother's best friend trope with a reality TV spin to it. I liked the characters and their main portrayal, but I find the background continuation of this series to be a bit weak and not keeping us on the edge of our seats enough through the possibly criminal father drama. I need a little more to fully engross me.

Paige is underappreciated and at her wits end from still living at home with her battling parents. Seeing her find a way to shine is heartwarming.

Jesse is a sweetheart, but he's living his life for all of the wrong reasons and seeing him finally get the recognition he needs to be himself is rewarding.

I recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone that likes a bit of family drama in the background as each sibling/cousin finds their happily ever after.

This a beautifully written story of a man dreaming of carpentry work where he designs an does each piece by his own hands. He's been living his dead sisters dreams for years but he doesn't enjoy the work or being coupled up in an office everyday. When he hears about a reality show where teams of two design and revamp an apartment he wants to go for it but to do that he has to get her on board. The chemistry between Jesse and Paige is smoking hot. When she agrees finally he knows its gonna test his will to keep hi dps hands off of his beautiful partner he was warned off by his best friend an her brother an uncle. But as they work hard side by side they find themselves growing closer until they give into their desire. There are so many twists an turns to this story you will be riveted until the very look at page.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.

Jesse is a banker and Page's brother's best friend. He lives his life fulfilling the dream of his sister who died, when his real dream is to become a great carpenter.
When the opportunity arises to participate in a reality show and show his full potential, he invites Paige to join him. And although she’s reluctant at first, the situation in her home following the accusations against her father and partners leads her to try to change her life as well.
While participating in the reality show, feelings between Jesse and Paige go beyond the pro line and they start making plans for the future, but when things don't go exactly as planned, will they be able to get through it all and move on?
I loved the story and the characters, and the surprise at the end promises to bring a lot of story as well. I highly recommend the reading.

Jesse is trying to live the life his late sister wanted to live, following their father into the banking world. But his real passion is woodworking. When he has a chance to see if he could make it a career on a TV renovation show, he just needs to find a designer. Enter Paige - the younger sister of a good friend. She has limited experience but she needs to escape the drama surrounding her family. As they work together, they realize they are good together personally too.

I have read the other books in those series and enjoyed them as well. I liked the two main characters - they both are trying to find their way in the world, stepping away from their families to be who they are.

I read an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

A new author for me. This is the 4th book in the Sins of the Fathers Series. I did like the dual POV as I prefer that and I also like the forced proximity, opposites attract romance genre. This story follows Jesse and Paige. Things are rough at home since the scandal brought on by her family. She’s always like her brother’s best friend Jesse, so when he offers her an interior design opportunity for 6 weeks, away from home she happily accepts. that will keep her away from home for up to six weeks, she happily accepts. Jesse’s love is carpentry but he’s currently a banker. He learns about an upcoming competition to get on a show on Renovation TV, he’s thrilled but must find a designer to apply with. This is his dream so he approaches Paige.

Where have I been ? And why have I not read Arell Rivers before now ? I seriously am shaking my head . All I can say is wow just wow , because there really are no perfect words to express all the reasons I just adored this absolutely amazing book . I will definitely be going back to read the first 3 books . Idle is a contemporary Brothers Best Friend romance and the emotional love story of Jesse and Paige . And man do they have undeniable chemistry between them . I’m not going to give any details away as trust me when I say this is one your going to want to experience for yourself. What I will say is that I can Pretty much guarantee once you start your going to have a really hard time putting it down .it’s that freaking good
