It's gonna take more than a little betrayal to keep Ten from fighting for those that need help the most.
Ten has faced the greatest betrayal imaginable but has somehow survived. Trapped in the darkness she soon learns that not everything in the dark is out to get her. Also, it becomes abundantly clear that not all monsters live in the dark. Can Ten recover and reclaim her place in the Dragon Guard. Does she even want to?

Ten lives a life in the a Dark, coming back from the dead. Book 5 is about the life and death struggle Ten goes through. Before returning to Epoch Sol Ten recovered while lining with the people of the dark. An exciting book to say the least! I'm on to the next book.
Tennegan (also called Ten) gets to experience it all this year as a young Dragon rider. Mentored by the best dragon Rider in Misdreous, befriending Mina, the Maiden of Lux (very much like the Oracle) and struggling to understanding Mina’s losses when she is taken from her home village to be the maiden - and then facing her own deep personal losses, she has a lot to process.
Ten and Luxion her dragon are also sent on missions that shape who they become as part of their growth with shocking results. This novel has it all, fighting, friendships, love, loss, betrayal, greed, generosity - it is one WILD and truly crazy ride and a rollicking good read and an absolutely worthwhile book.
This is better than the previous book and I do want to know the what happens next to this interesting story, but the books feel short to me and more plot lines need to be advanced in a better way.
I felt like this was only half a book especially since the previous book was so dark. It took this entire book to heal a fraction of what happened in the last book.
Anyways I want to see some true progress being made in the next book.
Love dragons and a female heroin? This is the series for you. Well developed characters in an unusual yet believable world. Story of triumph and determination, the human condition of greed, politics, consumed resources and a subservient class vs a conscious world of caring, even in darkness. A unexpected union of dragon and a former servant girl. Can't wait for book 6!
Frankly, this series keeps getting better with each book. Action and twists, love, loss, plus oh so many characters of depth! (Ha ha, you’ll get the depth humor after you’ve read this novel… only after the 4 books preceding it…)
The creatures, the cultures, the conflicts…. All part of a perfect epic stew recipe that is the tale of Ten and Luxion. Read them! ENJOY!
Book 5 has the same problems as the other, but at this point I'm committed and must continue. The MC has dreams of the maiden and feels she must go back and help her with something. She has been gone about a year and everyone else thinks she is dead, but the maiden. She must save a servants life and goes back to the city.
Ten finds out many things about the people of the dark.
The most important thing was so wonderful she had a hard time grappling with it: The people of the dark were not at the monsters the dragon riders made them out to be.
They lived underground where it was safe. They repaid her efforts to save their lives by saving hers.
Very enjoyable. Slower paced than previous books, more forced on Ten’s changes during her 1.5 years in dark realm. I’d love another chapter, but it’s fun to have a cliffhanger.
I've devoured this in just over half a day and I loved it!! I really enjoyed learning about the Aeotarai and their way of life. I am saddened that she didn't get to stay longer and I'm anxious to see what will happen in the next book. Cannot wait for it.
I need more. Like I know the next book will be out in a week or two but I'm absolutely obsessed. I have very many feelings and to leave me waiting hurts my soul lol
I’m loving this series. It took a while to get into but each book brings an added layer. Not to mention the cliffhangers!! Thanks Jada, I think. The next releases in only a few days and I can’t wait!!
Jada has built up this amazing momentum and I just couldn't put this book down until I finished it! I want to say more but am too anxious to get started on the next book! Enjoy! Huzzah!
Talk about twists, turns and upside downs. This is my favorite in the story so far. Ten has finally found some much earned peace only to be pulled back in to the mess and, then there is the ending...right outta left field!
This series is an emotional roller coaster. I honestly don’t know Ten can possibly NOT lose her mind. There’s some messed up shenanigans going on. Kudos to the authors on this amazing collaborative work.
I’m really amazed out how good the fifth book in this series was! Ten in the dark for a year was a lot of fun! I wish it could have lasted longer. It reminded me of avatar. Really great work with this series Jada, I am enjoying it!
I have read this series almost nonstop. The characters are so real and their complexities are unveiled little by little. I never know what is going to happen next. Enjoy this series if you enjoy fantasy and excitement. Love it and will continue reading.
This series is very well written and keeps your attention throughout. It is a complex story that is tied together extremely well. I can’t wait to get to the next book in the series.
So much happened to Ten. She met Kapuna, who nursed her back to the living, Jaime an exile, who helped with her therapy and so many more. Her good bye to Moe made me cry. In my opinion this was the best book so far.
I have really enjoyed this story, which isn't over yet. The story is so common, but totally different. So far there are 5 books in this story, can't wait for the next one to come out.
