This is Erika and Reed’s story. Erika and her daughter April have been estranged for years, and she is thrilled when she gets an invitation to her daughter’s destination wedding, hoping this will bring them back together. Reed is a wealthy CEO, who is a bachelor, and is the fun uncle to his sisters’ children. There is an instant attraction between Reed and Erika. This is a well written quick read, which has family, meddling, and love, which leads to a steamy page turner.

Starting Over . . .
Erika was an addict who ignored her daughter for much of her life, oblivious to all she was missing and not sharing with her. Her ex-husband had custody because Erika wasn’t fit to care for her daughter. She missed most of the visitation dates. And it wasn’t until she was attacked in the park and badly beaten that it occurred to her that she could not continue this lifestyle and survive.
So when her daughter, April, invites Erika to her destination wedding at the Mountain Ridge Resort, it’s a major step toward reconciliation and healing their relationship. Erika vowed to focus fully on April to prove that she is no longer the selfish mother she always had been.
Reed is the uncle of the groom. He meets Erika and is attracted to her. But this weekend belongs to her daughter and she won’t let herself fall for the groom’s uncle! Can he convince her to give him a chance?
Erika still seems to be missing the point. She can best prove her love for her daughter going forward, not looking back over the worst times. And being oblivious to her own future also indicates that, despite her age, she may still need to learn and grow as she moves forward and learns to trust in herself and others.

An older couple find love at the wedding of the daughter of the woman. Erika is an independent woman, who is successfully overcoming a past life of drug abuse. She has fought to survive her past life. Now she is attempting to re-connect with her daughter. Her daughter has accepted her back, and has invited her to her wedding, at a resort.
Reed is a wealthy CEO, and has never married. He is also attending the wedding of his nephew, at the resort. When he arrives at the wedding site, he accidentally hits Erika with his car. The couple feel an Immediate attraction, but Erika is resistant to falling in love.
Reed pursues Erika, and eventually they begin to date and a relationship develops between the couple. Erika continues to open her heart to Reed, but when they return to New York, the couple has a good talk, and work things out. The couple finally obtain their HEA.

Erika and her daughter April have been estranged for years so when she gets an invitation to her daughter's wedding she's hoping this will bring them closer together. Reed is is the uncle of the groom and has never found the one for him until he meets Erika. I loved the way the author brought Erika and Reed together and how a spark is ignited between them. This is well written love story with likable characters, a great storyline, steam, and a perfect ending. Summer Wedding is part of the multi-author Mountain Ridge Resort series and I look forward to reading the rest of this series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Erika is in the wedding party of her daughter. They were estranged for a long time due to Erikas addiction, but now they found their way back together. Erika met Reed by chance while being hit by his car 🤣 Their attraction and connection was instant. Everybody saw that, but Erika was hesitant and tried to fight her feelings and her attraction. Reed just knew that Erika is the One so he fought for their HEA🥰🥰 Instalove, sweet,romantic, bittersweet, steamy and safe with a sweet HEA and no drama😍😍😍😍

This was an okay love late in life romance but I just didn’t find the storyline plausible at all. Erika’s previous addiction seemed to have one affected her but everyone else just forgave her and that just bugged me. Her relationship with Reed didn’t make much sense to me either. But the story was well written and I really liked April.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a short romance with a lot of healing and love. Erika is a recovering addict that is still working to right some wrongs. The most important is with her daughter so she is very happy to be coming to the wedding. Reed feels the chemistry between them. He hopes to teach her to love herself again and accept his love also.

very good
It’s not often that you find a more mature couple as the main characters in a romance novel. This was my first book by this author and I liked it very much. Red and Erica were such great characters in the story as were all of the supporting characters not is a story of redemption and forgiveness. For a short novella it was very well done.

Finding love again when you least expect it
Summer Wedding by Rose Bak is part of the multi-author Mountain Ridge Resort series. This story pulls at the heartstrings, or at least it did for me. Family can be complicated and that is what this story is about, along with finding love when you least expect it. I really loves this book and the characters of Erika and Reed.

Erika is going to her daughter's wedding. They had estranged, but we're now back in each others lives. Reed is going to his nephew's wedding and almost hits the woman of his dreams with his car! Turns out ahe is the mother of the bride! Will Reed convince Erika to give him a shot?

The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Erika and Reed and does not let go. The story keeps us turning the pages with doubt, guilt, insecurities and love.
