I still loved her though so it hurt like hell when she walked away.

Selena is in trouble after stealing evidence to bring down a corrupt man and a hit gets taken out on her. So she turns to the only man she knows who will protect her, her ex husband Joseph.
This was great but way too short. I felt it rushed and needed a little more padding to make me happy with it. The story was great though. I'm enjoying this series. Full on drama, romance, steam and danger, I really enjoy these military team books and this was pretty close.

This is Lena and Joseph’s story. A quick second chance romance. These two got married when they were thirty. It worked well while he was a Navy SEAL. Did she like him being gone all the time? No! But knowing what she was signing up for when she said I do.
It's when he retired she couldn't handle it she asked for a divorce. Even though they both love each other beyond words, to this day Joseph has no clue what happened. She's still angry. But calls him when she is almost murdered in her bed.
Lena has been gathering information against a senator and now he knows it. He wants her dead and he aims to have it.
Good story. Lena is a bxtch at first. Poor Joseph must ask her a half dozen times what was the reason for the divorce and she won’t tell him. Their chemistry is hot though I give them that.

This is a great story. Selena and Joseph are no strangers to each other and when an attempt on her life takes place, Joseph's ex-husband is the only person she trusts to protect her and keep her safe. It's a story that holds your attention from start to finish. There is danger, action, drama, betrayal and also plenty of steamy scenes and romance. I like the Navy Seals storyline and this Reagents Protection Agency series. The author has done her best and I'm already looking forward to the next part in this series. This is highly recommended and well worth it!

Second chance stories are some of my favorite! Lena and Joseph’s is no exception! Although they didn’t get married until 30 when Joseph was a SEAL, the divorce wasn’t until after he retired. She knew what being a SEAL wife was going to be and accepted that. Even though they divorced they both still love each other. It takes Joseph time for him to convince Lena to tell him why she divorced him. But he’s determined to protect her when her life is in danger!

I like the background of this series, helping people in need. This book has an ending, but then it completely finishes with a cliffhanger. It seems small but yet maybe not. I volunteered to read an advanced copy of this book.

The heart wants what the heart wants. Doesn't seem to matter that they called it quits. When danger comes calling she knows one man that will stand before her. Sizzling the pages!
