Jacob:
I used to be “the man.” The guy everyone admired. I could take any team in any game scenario and score the impossible winning touchdown. Now, I spend more time on the sideline in a baseball cap than in my helmet. I thought it was bad when the team wanted to push me closer to retirement by setting me up to mentor some of the younger guys. That was before they decided to use me in a publicity stunt!
The only reason I agreed to do this promotional tour is because the woman in charge of it, the new owner’s daughter. She’s funny, smart, gorgeous, and too damn young for me, but I can’t stay away. Instead of feeling old and irrelevant, when I’m with her I think I could rule the world. If only they’d let me.
Maris:
My father has never taken me seriously. I’m sure not why he bothered to send me to school if he had no intention of bringing me into the business. When he bought a football team, I decided it was now or never. Armed with my legion of social media followers, I decided to make enough noise that he’d have to see me.
My plan didn’t include the hot, older guy who’s been tasked with personifying the team’s public image. Moody, sullen, and aloof, he didn’t seem to want the job. But I’m glad he’s on this promo tour with me. I can’t stop thinking about him, and I know I should really stay away. But once we’re on the road, all bets are off!

Fabulous, I absolutely love this one. It was a nice, quick, short read.
Jacob meets Maris when she comes bursting into her father’s office live streaming the encounter wanting a job with his team. After some consideration from his general manager, they decide to give Maris a job with Jacob. They are going to do a promotional tour all across the southeast. Maris gets an assistant and their team publicist comes along. They load up the bus and are on their way, each of the bonding with one another. Maris wants Jacob to do an interview but she can’t find the right location on the bus, so he suggests they pull over and do the interview. Jacob talks to Maris about football, she starts to understand the game better. Jacob and Maris almost kiss until he gets a phone call from his sister in law. Maris storms away thinking he’s taking a call from a girlfriend. He tries to explain himself to her but she won’t listen. Then they are in an accident and everyone is taken to the hospital. Maris and Jacob are released, but Max and Maris assistant have to stay overnight. The bus driver had a stroke and that’s what caused the accident they are taking him to Nashville the next day. Jacob and Maris have to get a hotel room for the night, it’s right across the street from the hospital. There is only one room available so Jacob sleeps on the floor. When he leans up to say something to Maris she brushes her lips against him then they start kissing. Next thing she knows she is naked and Jacob is on top of her. She tells him she wanted him since the moment they met. She knows he is everything to her, she climbs on top of him and straddles him then she lowers herself onto him. After she snuggles with him, she asks him if they can do that again. She wakes the next day a little sore, but she’s not sure if its from the night they had or the accident. She runs to use the restroom, when she comes out she sees three men corning Jacob. Her dad, David and coach are there and she sees her father punch Jacob. Her father tells her she is coming home with him she protest but Jacob tells her to go with him they’ll talk later. Her father tells Jacob they won’t they’ll never talk again. Jacob calls his brother to come pick him up, all week long Maris avoids running into him at training camp. Jacob’s brother tells him she might be avoiding him until her father calms down. Maris assistant comes and talks to Jacob she tells him that her father has her convinced she’s a distraction to him, she wants to be with him but she won’t interfere with his career. He tells her to tell Maris she is wrong. Game day comes and Jacob can’t focus on the game, Maris is on his mind. The coaches call him to play but he tells them he’s not ready. They tell him it’s their call and put him in anyways. Jacob calls the play hikes the ball and throws, he sees the receiver catch the ball but then feels the weight of the defense and everything goes dark. Maris talks to her mother about Jacob, her mother tells her she has a plan. Her mother sees Maris is in love with Jacob. Maris goes to the next game and is in her family’s box, she hears the fans booing when they are down. She sees Jacob on the sidelines but she tries to pay attention to the game. Someone else goes down and has to be carried off the field, they find out it’s the backup quarterback, so Jacob has no choice he has to go in. Her dad tells her he’s seen Jacob win games in tougher situations. She tells her dad he’s a good man just to give him a chance. He tells her if she loves him he’ll back off and won’t come between them. Jacob snaps the ball he can’t shake the defense, he’s got a guy running right at him. He fakes his move to the left but then twist and turns right and the guy blows passed him, Jacob crosses the end zone. The crowd chants his name, and Maris rushes down passing security. She rushes out onto the field somehow finding Jacob and he picks her up and swings her around. She kisses him and tells him that was incredible. He tells her he’s glad to see her, she tells him it’s nice to be seen but she has a question for him, she asks him if he’ll marry her. She doesn’t hear his answer but she looks over at the Jumbotron and there’s a messages, she proposed to him and he said yes. One year later, Jacob retired, he now has two careers, once a week he joins Maris and they talk about what’s going on with the team on a livestream. The other career he choice he’s the new quarterback coach for the team. Maris comes to greet him and takes him by his hand and leads him back to her office. She asks him if he wants to skip out for a while, he tells her if upper management won’t thinks he’s shirking on his responsibility. She tells him she might have some help with that, it will be fine.

Just ok....
The storyline had so much potential but fell flat. Was boring at times and the high points of the story were severely lacking in detail. The 1 steamy scene was lackluster and boring. Needed more detail. All over just blah. 2.5 stars, gave 3 for the decent storyline and idea.

Bus life!
These two go out on the road for a social media tour to promote the new football season. After an accident with the bus driver they stay in a hotel. Things do not end well for them in the morning. There is a bit of an age gap for them but they for so well together.

This series has been great. Great Characters and story line. Jacob and Maria’s love story is the icing on the cake.

I enjoyed the beginning of the story. It’s when they hit the conflict that it lost me. There were such a big communication and I don’t fully understand the resolution did not make sense to me.

A weird start. The heroine just barges into a meeting talking nonsense and I just didn't like her at that moment.
