In the heart-stopping conclusion to the Timeless saga, Simon and Elizabeth Cross have successfully reset the timeline — but the danger is far from over. The evil Shadow Council, now calling themselves the Continuum, are hellbent on eliminating the ultimate threat to their young Charlotte Cross.
Simon and Elizabeth, along with their friend and fellow time-traveler Jack Wells, must do everything in their power to protect Charlotte or all will be lost — for them and for the world — for all time.

There’s oodles of adventures in this second part of a two part Out of Time story. It’s not Elizabeth and Simon leading the charge, though. This one rests predominantly in the hands of Jack and Charlotte and it’s Charlotte who must save the Council and the world. I really enjoyed their travels through time while on the run from the nasty Arrows, hit men of the big baddies, the Continuum. Meanwhile, Elizabeth and Simon are spending their days researching what happened to put them all in this position in the first place. Poor Elizabeth wants to get out and DO something instead of watching Simon type on the computer, looking for just a clue, a hint or a thread they can tug on that will give them answers. They also serve who sit and wait is not Elizabeth’s idea of fun at all. Wait they must, though, especially after Peter Travers let’s some of his secrets spill while not giving all away. Which makes it especially exasperating for them and for us.

A breath-taking sprint to the finish of the current 'little difficulty'. While initially the focus is on Elizabeth, separated from Simon while heavily pregnant with Charlotte (so a jump into the past for her) the climax has Charlotte and Jack running from timetravelling agents of the Continuum...
Some crreative use of timetravel, with a sprinkling of changed timelines and the merest whiff of a paradox (and good use of the term 'timey-wimey' from another timetraveller) make this another in this series.
I'm with Elizabeth on not trying to think too hard to figure out everything. We've got lots of timelines to work through and people from them change events as we go.
Simon and Elizabeth are back in their own timeline...kinda. There are still difference and they don't know who they can trust. Nothing is more important to them than keeping their daughter safe and Jack is ready on that front. Still no matter how well they plan, or how much Simon researches, they can't cover all the people and timelines to survive with their family and the council in tact.
The Out of Time series is just an incredibly enjoyable series, but one to be read in order. The characters are amusing and likable, the adventures exciting and the dialogue flows and is believable. The only thing I find off and more than a little creepy is the hints at a romance between Jack and future Charlie. Do the math, by the time she is twenty he will be well over 50, and a man that has been her "uncle." Whether that is where the author is going , or not, it gives big ewwwww vibes.
The only complaint is the books don't come fast enough love all the characters and hope jack gets more books a love interest would be great and maybe a family it would be great love your books please write faster.
Monique Martin's time travel series is simply amazing. She captures the feel of each time and place the Crosses travel to, down to Elizabeth's undergarments! Great plot, characters, and so much more. I highly recommend this whole series!
I have completely enjoyed this series. I love the characters and the different times in history that they visit. I can’t wait to read another! My appreciation and compliments are extended to the author.
