Hot, kinky and every story brings something new and exciting to the mix.
The stage setting scenes didn't draw me in as much as they have done in previous years, but let's face it, we're not really here for that. We want the scorching hot, boundary pushing scenes that each year's contributors bring to life.
Prelude by Renee Rose - 4 stars
I thoroughly enjoyed this quite sweet but delightfully dirty encounter between bratva boss Ravil and seemingly straight-laced lawyer, Lucy, who perhaps isn't quite as innocent as one would assume. Their scenes were both erotic and sensual, Renee Rose convinced me of how well this pair connected. It was easy to believe in their chemistry and the intense attraction between them. I liked that there were no silly declarations of love after only a few hours in each others company.
The story has clearly been written so that the author can continue it as part of her Vegas Underground series. Whilst I may well choose to read more about this couple, I would be able to leave the story as is - a wonderfully sexy night of BDSM play.
Breathless by Eris Adderly- 5+ Stars
When do we get a full length Eris Adderly Black Light book? Oh My Lord! By all that's holy even Mother Theresa would have needed a hand free to read this smorgasboard of sexual delight. I'm telling you now - DO NOT READ THIS IN PUBLIC. Well not unless you are a massive exhibitionist and don't mind being arrested for indecent behaviour in a public place. If hell ever freezes over we can send them a copy of this story and it will soon be back to it's usual fiery temperature in no time at all.
Not only that but this book was packed with feels, both main characters had taken an emotional battering and the Hero had OCD type issues to boot. There is so much more to this than a couple of furnace heat level play scenes, there is character growth and a believable connection that develops between the main characters too. How Ms Adderly managed to achieve so much in such a short time I will never be able to explain, but the anthology is worth every penny of it's cover price for this story alone.
Burn by Kay Elle Parker - 4.5 stars
I'm not going to say which kink it is, but this contained one that would be on my hard limits list! That said, the caring, respectful and sensual way Finn lead Ava through her submission was absolutely beautiful. Instead of cringing and being taken out of the moment, I found myself revelling in the connection and bond of trust that this couple forged. I have a couple of this authors books on my kindle but I haven't actually read them yet - *hangs head in shame*. I will now be rectifying that asap.
Ava broke my heart at times, but in Finn she found not just a Dom, but a lover and potential life partner. One who would lend her strength when she was lost and give her release from the demons that haunt her soul. And it wasn't just one sided. Finn gained just as much from the vulnerable and shattered woman as she did from him. I adored these two finely crafted and immensely likeable characters and am totally rooting for them to find their HEA together.
Inflamed by Golden Angel - 4.5 stars
It's a Golden Angel story so you just know it's going to contain some buttstuff, but I'm getting ahead of myself. We've sort of briefly met both these characters in the longer BlackLight: Defended, though you do NOT need to have read that story to enjoy this. The first time he spoke to her, Elliott was a total ass to Lisa. Regardless of BDSM protocols etc he was plain rude, which leaves Lisa needing to prove him wrong. It leads to some great battle of wills and situations.
Elliott is a sadist and that was very evident in the way he, at times, mentally tortured Lisa. There was more than one occasion when I wanted to punch him in the face. Until suddenly I not only no longer felt that impulse but actually found myself completely and utterly falling for him. I adored Lisa from the start, she might be a brat but she was a caring and loving brat, and there's nothing wrong with curiosity and asking questions.
Whilst Golden Angel provides us with three fantastic and very sexy play scenes, the best thing about this story was seeing both Lisa and Elliott grow and adapt their thinking, allowing them to connect on a much deep level.

Let me tell you that I HATED Pierce when we first met him. His supercilious and rude attitude had me wanting to throat punch him, and when he kink-shamed Tori I could have whacked him in the nuts. And yet somehow as I read this story, somewhere along the line, I actually started to really, really like the man. He not only redeemed himself but he opened himself up to Tori in a way that had me swooning, yet he without him losing any of the sadistic, alpha Dom-ness that made him so sexy.
Tori was amazing, a strong female character that at times was vulnerable but never felt weak or insecure. She was very easy to empathise and identify with as she opened her mind (and body) to new experiences. As always, Jennifer Bene likes to torment us with edgy, boundary pushing kink scenes and this story is no different. Fantastic writing, emotional depth and character growth took what could have been 'eww' moments and made them very much into 'mmm' moments, and 'sigh' moments and 'hot & bothered' moments.
Trained by Sue Lyndon - 4 stars
This is a very sweet and gentle read, offering less in the way of hardcore kink but much more in the way of connecting with others. Xavier and Rachel were very interesting characters, both of whom had intriguing back stories. I would love to see this story extended and built on, allowing us to know more about them and see how their relationship develops and grows.
The connection between Kitten and her Daddy was very convincingly portrayed and I really appreciated how the author focused on feelings and emotional depth in this captivating story.
Unexpected by Measha Stone - 4 stars
Quinn and Jack are a great pairing, Jack sees beneath Quinn's facade and recognises the precious gem beneath. I really enjoyed how Measha included a less popular kink but spun it in a way that made it enjoyable even for those who would normally consider it a hard limit. She also portrayed the developing connection between the characters in an very honest and believable way.
This doesn't end with declarations of love, or life long plans, in fact it is probably one of the most real ending of the anthology, perfect for the situation and with enough of a happiness factor to satisfy even the most die-hard romantic.
Facade by Livia Grant - 4.5 stars
This book mixed some great kinky play with fantastic character building. Steph was really quiet complex and a tough nut to crack, she certainly had to be dragged into her submission. I'm not sure she was a submissive so much as a submissive for Sean. And that was fine as it led to some feisty, fiery play.
Sean was a hard-ass Dom, I quite got Steph's action in the swimming pool, but I still adored him because his sub's safety was alway paramount. And not just physical safety, Steph's mental well being was just as important. This pair were one of my favourite couples and, just like the previous story, I liked how this one ended.
In summary this is one fantastic anthology with something for everyone and not one disappointing story in it.

Roulette War Intro by Jennifer Bene and Livia Grant
One of my favorite parts of this anthology is the detail put into setting up the story for the other novellas and authors. There is always so much detail that it gets me excited from the get-go.
Prelude by Renee Rose
This story started by the author introducing the main characters, Ravil and Lucy, who are Bratva and Lawyer. Already from just their job descriptions, it sets the stage for opposites attract. The scenes were on the softer side but still showed the importance of communication and trust. I LOVED how this ended and cannot wait for more from Ravil and Lucy.
Breathless By Eris Adderly
This story gave me the opportunity to read more about scenes that I am not as familiar with. Their scenes built on the exercises of trust which both of these characters needed. Violet was just what Anson needed. I was bummed that they only made it through two scenes because I really enjoyed their chemistry and interactions. I hope to see more of these two in the future.

This was my first time reading this author and it sure will not be my last because this was my favorite of the book. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this gets expanded into a full book. There is so much to be unpacked and expanded on here in regards to Ava and her backstory which is what makes me want so much more. I would love to see Finn help her heal. The scenes in their pairing were hotter than a Las Vegas sidewalk in August. HOT. HOT. HOT. One scene/kink, in particular, has not been done (that I can remember) and it definitely piqued my interest.

I loved watching the back and forth between Elliot and Lisa. These two were both headstrong characters so it was nice to see the dynamics play out. They each gave as good as they got. I wanted more exploration of their history as to why there was such a pf Lisa trying to prove herself and Elliot learning he was wrong in certain aspects.

There is a reason that I fell in love with this series and that is because of this amazing author. She brought Pierce and Tori to life. I felt their emotions, especially Tory. I liked watching her come to terms with what she thought she wanted and what she ultimately, needed. Bravo.

My favorite thing about this author is her ability to take "tame" sexual activities (if there really is such a thing in the BL world) and ramp them up. She always puts care and attention into creating characters such as Xavier and Rachel, that her audience can get invested in. I loved the chemistry between X and "Dolly". He gave her exactly what she needed and then some.

I enjoyed the fact that the author didn't shy away from creating a character that was plus size. I also loved that the author pushed me from my comfort zone and made two kins that I am not as interested in compelling and enticing by creating a scene where I was involved (vicariously) in as Quinn and Jack.

This story started with one of my favorite scenes of this anthology. It was different and Unique. It kept my interest the whole time. I liked that Sean was attentive to Stephanie's vulnerability and saw that there was a lot under her sass. I liked the juxtaposition of "experience" versus "newness" in Stephanie and that Sean was intuitive enough to see past what others assumed about Stephanie and helped her to see that as well.
And the Winner is... By Jennifer Bene and Livia Grant
I loved getting to have a scene with Jaxson, Chase, and Emma. Their connection is always so hot and strong. I love the dynamic of Dom, Switch, and Sub showing again another facet of this lifestyle and doing it well. I won't spoil the winner, as that is part of the fun of this anthology. I'm glad that I didn't have to pick because both sides had some amazing scenes. However, if I HAD to choose, I would have gone the opposite way.
All that aside. This is, in my opinion, the best roulette of them all. I look forward to this book every year. It is my Valentine's tradition now and gives me some happiness as I help work in a flower shop on this holiday and the weeks leading up to it suck the life out of me. This helps keep me regenerated. Kudos to the authors for another amazing year.

This is my first foray into the exclusive Black Light clubs, and boy was this book entertaining! What a fascinating world. The premise for this book is Black Light West and Black Light East are competing by having their members vote on the best roulette scenes.
Prelude by Renee Rose
Ravil is a powerful player of the Bratva and Lucy is a defense lawyer who represents the dark Chicago underbelly. Ravil sets his sights on Lucy immediately. Lucy has baby fever. There is powerful chemistry even though Ravil scares Lucy. There is a mishap with contraception and they seemingly part forever. I see a continuation of this story in the author’s future. I enjoyed this read.
Breathless by Eris Adderly
Anson is a germaphobe who works for the IRS and he must have control of all things. He also doesn’t like certain textures, like rough wood grain. The Black Light series is one of my absolute favorites and the Roulette stories are always incredible. I highly anticipated this book and it surely doesn’t disappoint.
Prelude by Renee Rose is the first story and it really packs a punch. It’s about Ravil, a member of the Bratva and Lucy, a lawyer who is looking for something different in her life. While she is most definitely nervous about participating in this event, Ravil puts her at ease. I loved the chemistry between these two people who come from such totally different worlds. I’m hoping that this author will make it into a full length story, because I definitely want to know what ends up happening with them!
A new author to me, Eris Adderly wrote Breathless. This story focused on Anson, a quirky IRS guy, and Violet, a young woman who is looking for the right Dom. Anson has some issues, that are clearly defined in this story, and just makes you love the guy. These two have great chemistry and I enjoyed the detail of their scenes together. I will be reading more by this author.
Burn by Kay Elle Parker is an emotional read that will pull at your heartstrings. This story will hold you captive from beginning to end! The story of Finn and Ava will make you fall in love with these characters. He’s been looking for someone like Ava, and Ava needs someone like Finn. I so hope this author continues this story in a full length book! It’s incredible!
Inflamed by Golden Angel is the story of Elliott and Lisa. Lisa is a bratty submissive who Elliott is wary of. He is not the type of Dom who likes brats, but there is something about her he finds intriguing. These two dance around each other with their feelings and when the ball drops, will they be paired up? And if so, can he tame Lisa? This is a truly enjoyable read!

Epic - don’t miss out!
The heat is on! This was phenomenal - best one yet, which is really saying something. These anthologies are just epic, I love the intros which binds them all together, stories flow seamlessly together and mostly make you feel as though you are living the experience. What really impresses me is the ability to take kinks that are not your own and make them appealing. Kudos to all the authors, I’d give it more stars if I could.

Bold play with an unconventional, dom in Anson. Initially I wasn’t sure about him, but then loved how real he was and how he totally found his confidence. The total focus is captivating, unexpected kinks, well written and made appealing. Loved how accepting they are of each other’s quirks and the great communication.

This one packs an emotional punch as Finn guides Ava into a new world that can help quiet her demons. Ava is brave whilst Finn is caring and protective - their spins push the boundaries. Would love to hear more from these guys. Excellent.

I thought it was really sexy how confident he was and especially that he was interested in her mind not just her body. Excellent.
For an added bonus we are treated to a catch up with Emma, Jackson and Chase as they are reunited following the big events. Always a pleasure to revisit old favourites. So who will win? You’ll have to read to find out, I think you’ll agree it is a very close call but I think they make the right decision in the end. Looking forwards to more from this world....please?! I couldn’t recommend this book any more highly, such a great world the authors have built for us - if only it was real!!!

Eris Adderly gave me a front row seat at two intense, beautiful and steamy playscenes. Latex and breathplay are plays you don’t read a lot about and I loved seeing Ansom become undone and Violets trust.
Kay Elle Parker broke my heart with her portrey of Ava. She is much stronger then she think and seeing her blossom under the care of Finn was beautiful to see.

Oh, I did loooove this Black Light Roulette War book.
Sizzling steam that crackles off the page as the participating Doms & subs are matched together by the turn of the roulette wheel & Fate, as the little ball bounces into its slot. And then again when the subs spin a 2nd wheel to identify the particular 'scene' that will be played.
All I can say is I was impressed by the quality of the writing by each author, the plots they revealed, the depth of emotion & intensity conveyed in these short novellas. GAH!!! I soooo did not want any of these tales to end. I wanted to continue these stories, to learn MORE about these characters that in such a short time sucked me in to their experiences that exposed their innermost fears, wants, desires & hopes.
And each story IMO smoothly transitioned to the next, drawing me further & further into the Black Light world: I could hear the bouncing ball of the Roulette wheels, feel the anticipation, taste the alcohol, hear the snap of implements, see the sweat of the subs, the lust of the Doms.
This was an absoulutely stellar journey into the world of Black Light & I soooo hope these tales are made into full length books: because I would definitely read them with excitement. A wonderful read I vastly enjoyed.

Read the Introduction to the Roulette War - completely new to me and bit much names but got the gist that’s important and was good written for a newby.

This was an amazing story between Master R and Lady Luck. Who would have thought opposites can attract in a powerful steamy way? She’s a defense attorney and he is from Bratva Russian mafia. She is weary of him because she immediately knows of his background. He finds a challenge in her and does not want to forego this opportunity for perfect dominant bliss. Their seductive play goes beyond physical penetration and what unravels between them may lead to unexpected results.

Mister M and Miss Pain (Anson Morrow and Violet) gave a thrilling erotic performance. Miss Pain is in for one hell of a ride with a Dom that knows how to bring it to the next level. Mister M was everything she needed and then some. At one point she says “The wheel had given her to Mister M, and he’d made her feel like she was the only person in the club who mattered.” Mister M would ask her questions right before they start a scene, how much do you enjoy… Those questions really gets you going and sets you up mentally and physically for unexpected surprises. The first scene was such a tease, the build-up had me a total mess. Their “play” was super intense and the trust she showed him was spectacular. I like how he got over his issues as well as how she deal with her past Dom.

Master Finnegan and Ava are one sensational blistering couple. From the start he is attracted to her innocence and she is drawn to the overwhelming pain the Dom can dish out. Not a stranger to pain, Ava goes to BL to seek a refuge from the voices that torment her, forcing her to turn to pain to escape. Little does she know that pain can lead to immeasurable pleasure. With Master Finnegan she finds the perfect means to hand over control and feel pain to a point where pleasure and pain become one. Her intense emotions make Master Finnegan a goner for her seductive whimpers and responses. By the time their time is almost up, they have fused into one massive body of ecstasy, one deriving pain from the pleasure of the other, without lines or border to distinguish one body from the other. Kay Elle Parker took me on one hell of a sensual ride! I cant wait for their follow-up story.

Master Elliot has no idea what he is getting into. He walks into Roulette with a negative experience. He wants a proper sub, one with whom he will have a genuine experience with. He is paired up with Lovely Lisa and boy was that a firestorm from the start. She has a crush on him but he looks down on all subs, expecting the worse. What neither expected was how hard each would be pushed outside their comfort zones. Master Elliot was straight up and asshole but Lisa did not disappoint. Golden Angel was superb once again working in her mastery of butt stuff into a sexy af story.
Wicked
Pierce is a straight up asshole. I was really scared as I got to know him because he is so the antithesis of what a real Dom should be. He comes off as very selfish and doesn’t care about the sub. However as we get on with the story we see that perhaps that is a front he puts up because he doesn’t trust anyone to see the real him and accept him for who he is and not what he represents. The same can be said about Tori with needing her costume to meet the status quo but never quiet reaching the peaks she subconsciously sought to reach. Never did I think using derogatory names would be sexy but Pierce and Tori made it work. But that last paragraph was ALL THE FEELS!

Xavier was the ideal Daddy Dom. I honestly think this was my first time reading a full-blown Daddy Dom story. Daddy Xavier is a widower who has shut himself from love. Still mourning and holding on to his wife, he enters Roulette on a dare/challenge from one of his employees. He is paired up with Dolly/Rachel who really wins the golden ticket in my opinion because Daddy Xavier was the kindest gentlest the doms and Rachel needed someone like him. At one point Dolly experiences a profound panic and he gently assures her that he would be by her side the whole time.
Unexpected
This was another Daddy Dom story but it was not as sweet because the sub, Quinn, was a straight up bitch. Jack is quick to catch on to Quinn’s self-defense mechanism, aka her bitchy attitude. She isn’t even apologetic about it just sort of regrets it after whatever snarky comment has escaped her mouth, but she doesn’t seem to want to do anything about it. I don’t like how she admits to wanting to top from the bottom and how she constantly ruins the whole subbie vibe. Jack is very patient and sees something in her that I don’t even think she can see. Overall it was an enjoyable story.

What neither expected was how hard each would be pushed outside their comfort zones. Master Elliot was straight up and asshole but Lisa did not disappoint. Golden Angel was superb once again working in her mastery of butt stuff into a sexy af story.

Pierce is a straight up asshole. I was really scared as I got to know him because he is so the antithesis of what a real Dom should be. He comes off as very selfish and doesn’t care about the sub. However as we get on with the story we see that perhaps that is a front he puts up because he doesn’t trust anyone to see the real him and accept him for who he is and not what he represents. The same can be said about Tori with needing her costume to meet the status quo but never quiet reaching the peaks she subconsciously sought to reach. Never did I think using derogatory names would be sexy but Pierce and Tori made it work. But that last paragraph was ALL THE FEELS!
Trained
Xavier was the ideal Daddy Dom. I honestly think this was my first time reading a full-blown Daddy Dom story. Daddy Xavier is a widower who has shut himself from love. Still mourning and holding on to his wife, he enters Roulette on a dare/challenge from one of his employees. He is paired up with Dolly/Rachel who really wins the golden ticket in my opinion because Daddy Xavier was the kindest gentlest the doms and Rachel needed someone like him. At one point Dolly experiences a profound panic and he gently assures her that he would be by her side the whole time.
Unexpected
This was another Daddy Dom story but it was not as sweet because the sub, Quinn, was a straight up bitch. Jack is quick to catch on to Quinn’s self-defense mechanism, aka her bitchy attitude. She isn’t even apologetic about it just sort of regrets it after whatever snarky comment has escaped her mouth, but she doesn’t seem to want to do anything about it. I don’t like how she admits to wanting to top from the bottom and how she constantly ruins the whole subbie vibe. Jack is very patient and sees something in her that I don’t even think she can see. Overall it was an enjoyable story.
Facade
A fantastic story- one of battle of the wills between Sean and Karly. As a Dom Sean knows when to bring it on, especially with a sub like Karly who doesn’t have much of a sub persona. She is a former porn star with a career in sex toys. One would think she has the whole BDSM under her belt. Turns out she is more of a novice despite her professional experience in the sex industry. Given her no-nonsense attitude, she attempts to control the relationship but Sean is right there to rectify it and punish her for her missteps. Theirs was a phenomenal pairing and left me wanting more.

I want to start by saying that I totally concur with the verdict on the competition – thank you for that authors! A huge fan of all the Black Light books, but particularly each year’s Valentine Roulette, I have tended to dip in and focus more on my favorite authors’ stories. You can’t do that with this year’s roulette. This year there is a competition, brilliantly set up in Jennifer Bene and Livia Grant’s Introduction, pitting the East (Spencer) and West (Elijah) Coasts’ roulette nights, and Wars is set up with the East Coast stories first, followed by the West Coast. Not only does this make it easier to keep track of which is which, but it also helps when you want to be the judge yourself, before reading the verdict in the book. Again, the scene for each club is set, from the tension held by the Club Doms, to the MCs, adding to the reader’s own tensions.
East Coast: The scene set, the Doms draw numbers for their subs, and the subs spin the roulette wheel for their first scenes. And the first story is Prelude, by Renee Rose, one of the many that makes you want more and more and more of these characters, Ravil and Lucy. Bratva, Ravil is the antithesis of lawyer Lucy, who is nervous and uptight. One of the gentler stories, it sets up a longer one, and I can’t wait for it.
The next is Breathless, by Eris Adderly, and its name is evocative. Master M is OCD, unable and unwilling to touch anything that might compromise his cleanliness; he even refuses to take a number, preferring to memorize it. And he draws “Miss Pain.” Their scenes, especially the first (latex), were firmly vested in trust; again, I’d love more of these two.
Burn, by Kay Elle Parker – and wow. I mean, seriously, Finn is hot as can be and he draws Ava, damaged, living with negative voices in her head constantly, and the name says it all – this story couldn’t have been hotter!
Inflamed, by Golden Angel, reintroduces characters we met in Kawan and Melody’s story. Can I whet your appetite by saying flaming whips? Elliott has been pursued by Lisa and has snubbed her soundly. What are the odds he draws her at Roulette? She has a great deal to do to get him to trust her and for him to make her truly submit – is he up to it?
And then we move to the West Coast, and Jennifer Bene’s Wicked. Pierce and Tori are incredible. That Pierce can see how Tori is trying to protect herself while actually denying herself makes this one of my favorite stories, and it is one to return to.
Sun Lyndon’s Trained features an adorable kitten, and Daddy Xavier and Rachel do not disappoint. Can kitten play be steamy? Oh yes! And that’s just the start in this story.
Measha Stone wrote the next, Unexpected – another evocative title. Not the only sub to wonder what on earth she’d been thinking when she applied for roulette, Quinn is drawn by Jack, and she rolls diaper play. Insistent on her need for pain, she resists Jack when he reminds her that he is the Dom and insists on doing the scene, despite her feeling too heavy to fit any diaper or table. In many ways, theirs is the story that demonstrates a connection through play – not that the others don’t, but this one, there is just something more.
And the West Coast closes with Livia Grant’s Façade, a story that features a porn star, who opens her scene with a punishment for being late, and who emerges as inexperienced in terms of BDSM, regardless of her general sexual experience. Sean draws out her vulnerability, making her both human and relatable.
And the Winner Is: well, this includes Jaxson, Chase, and Emma, so it has to be awesome! It includes a scene when Chase gets home after attending the West Coast night, and it shows some part of their domestic dynamic. I loved how they decided on who would decide the winner, and I loved concurring with that decision too.
All in all, this is a brilliant Roulette that won’t let you put it down once you start it. So, what are you really waiting for?

The Black Light series is a go-to pleasure any time a new one comes out. But as filet mignon is to steak, when a Black Light Roulette book comes out, you know you are going to be in for a special, special treat.
This year’s Black Light: Roulette War is no exception.
The stories this year are phenomenal. The writing is as solid as ever, and the scenes described are absolutely delicious. Even some which touch on kinks that would be a hard limit for this reader (ABDL, fisting, etc.) were done so well that they were wonderful to read (sorry, Measha Stone, still not interested in ABDL, but damned if Jack and Quinn’s story wasn’t soooo good!).
There were a couple of stand-out stories for me: Eris Adderly’s Anson and Ms. Payne (Breathless), and Jennifer Bene’s Pierce and Tori (Wicked).
Anson for me is the sort of Dom I aspire to. Not the text-book bad boy millionaire playboy Dom, but the quiet, intense Dom that makes the hair on the back of a sub’s neck stand up, and a thrilling chill run down their spine. He was so perfect in his precise mannerisms and calculating ways (even if some of that was only on the surface), that I was immediately in love with him.
Oh, and Ms. Payne wasn’t too bad either. :-P
For Ms. Bene’s story, I really loved how Pierce grew into his feelings for Tori, as equally as she did in her feelings for Pierce. Often in these types of stories it’s the Dom who is the big, strong type that knows IMMEDIATELY what the sub is feeling, and how they can *help* them to achieve their wildest desires. Pierce *thinks* he knows Tori, and he does help her discover something about herself, but along the way he TOO discovers that old adage to be true: you can’t judge a book by its cover. And I loved that aspect of their story.
Also, I have to make mention of one particular section of another story (Burn). One of the best descriptions I have ever read of fisting came from Kay Elle Parker’s story, during her Dom Finn’s short monologue about where he’d gained his ‘experience’ for the fisting kink (not going to spoil it, but I legit laughed for a solid minute. 😊 ). Well played, Ms. Parker. Well played.
Don’t stop to question whether you should get this anthology; just do it. You’re going to love it. Just like in real life, perhaps not every kink is going to be your kink, but the stories and the characters within are NOT going to let you down.

I thought that this was a wonderful addition to this annual book event. If you enjoy sizzling hot reads that can hold your attention, keep you entertained and nudge you out of your comfort zone I highly recommend this book and series. This is my sincere review that I am posting of my own accord.
Prelude by Renee Rose (4 Stars) Was a terrific opposites attract story. Ravil and Lucy made a very interesting pair with amazing chemistry. This story does tie into this author's Vegas Underground series, so I do hope to see much more for this couple.
Breathless by Eris Adderly (5 Stars) This book was intensely hot and deeply emotional. Anson and Violet really captured my heart, while leaving me in dire need of an ice cold drink. If you like books with unique characters this book will hold extra appeal for you. This was a new to me author that I definitely want to read more from.
Burn by Kay Elle Parker (5 stars) I loved this book so much. Finn and Ava were beyond incredible and I fell so hard for them. I have only read one other book by this author (which I adored!) and I am thrilled that I found this book just as appealing. In my opinion this was by far the most emotion laden story of the bunch.
Inflamed by Golden Angel (5 Stars) There's plenty of sparks and tension as the unwanted attraction and push/pull played out between Elliott and Lisa. I thought that this one was a bit cute and very fun.
Wicked by Jennifer Bene (4 Stars) I enjoyed this read. There is a lot of heat, emotion and tension in Tori and Pierce's tale. Expect some boundary pushing in this story of self discovery.
Trained by Sue Lyndon (5 Stars) There is so much sweetness in this kinky story. If you love Daddy Doms this one is for you. My heart simply melted for Xavier and Dolly and the steam they generated raised the temperature.
Unexpected by Measha Stone (4 Stars) The sparks fly in this opposites attract story. I thought that Quinn and Jack made an interesting pair and I loved that this tale featured a plus size character. In my opinion, this is another boundary pusher. I liked it but for me this was only a good read.

This is also one that will push you out of your comfort zone but I thought it was 100% worth a few uncomfortable moments. I seriously enjoyed this story that relied heavily on the fact that things aren't always as they seem or look.
All together, this is a stellar collection of reads that are sure to have you feeling the heat on a cold winters night!

O.M.G. A Black Light Coast WAR!! A Roulette War?! Awesomsauce! Could these authors get anymore creative? I wish I could have been a fly on the wall at a planning meeting with these amazing authors. If you've read Golden's books, you know she loves her "butt stuff", but this went all the way to the top and then just toppled over into a free fall!!!

I love this novella length collection!! You don’t have to have read any of the previous books in the series. Wow. Just wow. Every time I enter the world of Black Light, I feel honored to have been invited here. (Compelled might be more accurate, though.) These authors have a gift with the English language and a seriously naughty turn of phrase or two (dozen). Not only does this book take us from coast to coast, it spans a wide variety of experiences. I cracked open this anthology thinking I knew what I was getting into. Hah! Not even close. Other than the recurring characters, there wasn’t a hero or heroine that was quite what I was expecting. These characters are layered, complex, multifaceted and completely fascinating. And the skills of the authors are beyond compare. Even the one novella I was certain I wasn’t going to enjoy because it took one of my strongest triggers and not just pressed it, it jumped up and down on it, made me love it in spite of myself. It sucked me in, ensorcelled me, and turned me into a believer. Complete credit goes to the author for taking me someplace I'd rather not go and making it an experience I enjoyed. I can’t believe another Black Light Valentine Roulette has come and gone already. Well played, authors. Well played.

And I thought Black Light Valentine would be less compelling as more were written, but I was so wrong as Roulette Wars demonstrates in spades. I am always impressed that the attention to detail is maintained like the blackout which appears in every West story and gives continuity to the book. There was a theme throughout all the stories both east and west that was carefully and successfully maintained that of the healing and process that one of the participants goes through thanks to the insight of their partner. Often it seemed that the partner was uncaring and pushing too far, only to see the healing power of BDSM.
Every story was so so hot and although I cringed a couple of times I cannot deny the turn on of each and every one of these stories. There were some new to me authors who will now be firm favourites - Kaye Elle Parker, Sue Lyndon and Eris Adderly. Then the other authors who have brought me pleasure with their own books but all together in Black Light Roulette are superb and bring the reader to new heights.

I received and Advanced reader copy. I am voluntarily leaving a review. This is the newest installment of the Blacklight series and its third roulette anthology. This year the Dungeon Masters of each club are pushing each other's buttons until a war is declared. Who is the best? There are vacation days and free months of dues up for grabs. There are some regular authors and some new contributors, They manage to incorporate the general vibe and tie ins throughout. Some of this year's new kinks explored include fire play, humiliation, breath play, pony play and latex. One of the characters is a cutter, so trigger warning. This anthology is a great addition to the series and there are plenty of HFN/HEAs for everyone. Strong 4.5 stars
