Great Combo
To Hell and Back
I liked this one, there wasn’t to much heavy stuff going on like the previous ones. Although, I think the events were important to build relationships with characters that only had a small spot lights in previous books. Mavericks honesty is coming through and the guys are finally starting to see that he’s not the sniveling coward they thought he was. Releasing Aria from her imprisonment in Hell, removing his ring that he tricked her into wearing, releasing Joseline from her contract. Actions speak louder than words in this series. I still don’t like how Aria was so wishy washy about the guys, feeling completely at home in their arms, being supported and cared for and the next, she’s second guessing all their gestures. I’m still confused on why she’s deathly afraid of Sayah, she’s don’t nothing but help them out of sticky situations. She’s afraid of not being in control but she won’t use or get to know her in a way she couldn’t before, now that she can talk somewhat. I hope that ritual worked, even though they were interrupted by Maverick. I felt for him there when he realized what they were doing. He likes her, and Aria has feelings for him too. It was all written so naturally, that it was easy to follow along. Was doing chores and had my ear buds in while my phone read out the chapters. Cant wait to read what’s next
When Hell freezes Over
Well, this books title is aptly named. There was so many situations where they were overrun with bad guys but they always prevailed even if they were bumped and bruised. The multiple point of views gave the book so much insight into each character that it was easy to root for them all. These darn relics are gonna be the death of me. Each time they find one, trouble finds them. And now someone found their stach, I refuse to beleive that Maverick did all that just to steal their relics. I think he went after who he thinks stole them. For some reason, Joseline’s name popped up. She was the only one Aria told about looking for them. With her contract broken, I think someone else swooped in and re contracted her again. Maybe Lucifer? Guess we will find out in the next book!
Hell On Earth
Wow, well Hell officially moved from Earth to Hell in this book. They spent alot of time down under trying to get all the original Sin Brothers to back their fight against Lucifer. I found it had the appropriate amount of fighting against Lucifer with the amount of build up we had over the course of the 6 books. I found this book to be completely action packed. Ari is kidnapped once again, but makes it out alright. I’m confused about the character that took her back to Cain, he was the kings assassin? Yet didn’t kill her on sight? I honestly don’t know what his true purpose was in the book. Also Serena needed a smack down, after everything she did to the guys, severely breaking Elias heart, taunting her with Lucifer, she needs a painful ending but there wasn’t mention of her at the end, neither after Aria’s kidnapping. She disappeared.
I didn’t like this book as much as the others because I felt like they were skipping vital parts that make a story flow perfectly. The guys didn’t “eat” a soul in this book. Nor was there talk of Aria eating once either. I feel like this book happened within 24-36 hours. There was no sleeping, no eating, barely time to shower, a not so quickly before they are off to the next thing on this list. I was really sad about Sayah. It
Broke me that they never fully gelled, how Aria was stupidly afraid of her for most of the series. I always knew Sayah wasn’t a bad character in the series. Just misunderstood, and the guys never pushed Aria enough to get her to listen that maybe she wasn’t trying to hurt Aria, but save her every single time she appeared. Sayah didn’t get enough credit that’s for sure.
Otherwise I would rate this 6th book a 4 star. It had its moments where I needed to know what happened next to where I could put it down on focus on life’s daily tasks. Good Series.
