3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK, or decent reads
============================

Our hero is a possessive ogre who, despite his age, has not learned to communicate. But then we wouldn't have a story to tell if it weren't for that.
Couldn't he have triggered the connections and called in favors owed to him earlier to get rid of his ex?
I'm sorry, but he was neglectful of his children. He could have put in a security guard to keep him informed about his ex's behavior towards their children and home.
Our heroine had a broken heart and a huge loss, I thought she even got over it well and ended up forgiving him.
Parallel conflicts with other characters fill in the gaps in the story.
In the end it was an OK read.

I’m sorry but

I wanted to love this book but I can’t. I’m sorry. Too childish and I don’t want to give anything away so I’ll leave it at that. Not for me. My opinion only. Thank.

Are we all just going to ignore that the hero in this is an a$$ the whole time? Like even after he is "redeemed" and has committed to being a better father, he's still pretty self-absorbed.

Shattering Trinity was the eighth book in the Rockers’ Legacy by Terri Anne Browning. It was a spin off from her original series. And although could be read as a stand-alone, it was much more enjoyable read in order.

I’ve taken a break from formal reviews for a while, but a couple quick thoughts: I enjoyed both characters, Trinity and Jarrett, even though it was gut wrenching emotional at times. I also enjoyed the storyline and how it incorporated the characters from not only this series, but other series as well. However, I wanted more detail. For example, our mafia friends (from another series) were mentioned for a clean up, but I wanted the details. It was explained through a narration that it was handled, but it was a vital part of the storyline that I needed more closure. I also wanted more from Jarrett at times. Otherwise, it was enjoyable and a worthy addition to the series.

2.5 rounded up.

I have read every book by this author. There are so many. I hate to say it but This book was such a disappointment. I didn’t like the two main characters. Like I said I have read all the books including all the Legacy books and knowing that Trinity and Jarret made an appearance in the previous books I had 0 connection to them. The romance between them was fast and we as readers didn’t get to feel their romance. I honestly didn’t care about them. Trins instant connection with the teenage kids was laughable. 2.5 rounded up star for mentions of the good rocker characters

Great book

This has been such a emotional book, I dont think Jarrett groveling was enough, but I liked their ending. My only "complaint" would be the lack of Family tree of the Blonde Bomshells and TK's families it got me quite confused at the beginning, although this is a romance and the main couple os Trinity and Jarrett, the relationship in between her and his kiddos was even more entertaining. The epilogue was not much of my liking BUT that does not mean that I find it bad just no my cup of tea for personal reasons.

Heartbreakingly beautiful

This book really touched my heart. Jarrett and Trinity's story was not one without enormous struggles and crippling heartbreak, but that is was made me love this book so much. Definitely my favorite of the legacy books!!

for a win

Jarrett was an asshole but he knew what he wanted he just went about it the wrong way. Trinity made him work his way back into her heart and made room for his kids.

My rating: 3 stars

What I loved: I liked how Trinity(h) was with Jarrett’s(H) kids.

What I didn’t like: I hated how Jarrett handled things. He knew his daughter wasn’t happy but still left to go on the tour. He knew Trinity had a migraine and just found out that he had a wife and kids and doesn’t call her to see if she is ok. It would have took 5 minutes (not even) to tell her that he is going away but when he gets back they can talk. I hated how everyone basically pressured her to say yes when Jarrett proposed. If it was me I would have made him suffer even more especially because I wouldn’t be able to trust him.

***Major Spoilers/ Details/Triggers: Miscarriage, child abuse. H is married but is in the process of getting a divorce. He is just waiting on the wife to sign the papers. They have two kids together. He barely is home because when he is all they do is fight and he doesn’t want his kids to hear it. h is the manager on tour and when the security fails to keep people off the stage they send the H to take over. H and h have an instant attraction. They start a sexual relationship. H doesn’t tell the h about his kids or wife. When h, with a bad migraine, goes back to the hotel to get drum sticks for the band member she runs into the kids and wife in the hotel room. H goes when the h tells him they are there. H just misses the h. H finds out that the wife has been abusing his daughter and the daughter has been the parent figure for the son. h passes out and is rushed to the hospital. H leaves with his kids and doesn’t bother calling the h to tell her what’s going on. H proceeds to take a vacation with his kids while his ex wife is dealt with, leaving his phone. Again he doesn’t call and let the h know. h finds out she is pregnant. When she gets an infection she has a miscarriage that results of her getting a hysterectomy. H finally comes home from his vacation and finds out that the h called. H goes to the h’s place and h basically tells him she is done and he needs to be there for his kids (that he doesn’t have time for a relationship especially since he couldn’t take a couple of minutes to call her). H gives her space and starts working behind the scene to be able to go with her on tour to be her head of security. h starts to have a relationship with the H’s kids. When h leaves on tour, H goes a couple of days later. H tries talking to the h and again h tells him off. H finds out that h had a miscarriage. He goes to confront the h. h worked herself to exhaustion. H texts her mom to tell her that she needs help. They come, they talk about the miscarriage and H proposes. HEA with the daughter getting pregnant and she giving her baby to the H and h.

Final thoughts: This was just ok for me. On to someone else.

I quite literally never write reviews for any books I read, but this book had me so mad throughout the entire story.

When Trinity and Jarrett's relationship was mentioned in hating piper I didn't even feel a connection to them. I instantly disliked Jarrett but gave a chance because I only saw Trinity's side then. but even after reading jarrett's i still don't like him at all. First he keeps all these secrets from trinity then he abandons her. He was basically NEVER involved with his children yet he keeps using that as an excuse for why he left and he still ends up leaving them to follow after trinity on tour eventually??

Then he makes Barrick and Braxton keep their merger a secret from Emmie and everyone else in their family barring their wives who are extremely close to everyone in their family so I could only imagine how difficult it was keeping this secret from them. this just shows how extremely inconsiderate he is towards Trinity's family. then he starts talking about wanting to marry Trinity yet not caring at all if he got her parents permission, he simply doesn't care about her family at all.

Another problem I had was his possessiveness, it was so unprofessional throughout the whole book. while he's on work he's growling at any guy trinity talks to, at least she noticed he was being unprofessional about that.

I had zero problem with trinity up until her fight with Shaw, which was also caused by ofcourse jarrett. I've always liked Shaw throughout the whole series it was always shown how much Shaw cared about her family and would try hard to protect them. the way she confronted jarrett showed she assumed he knew about the miscarriage and she was warning him not to hurt trinity. yet he made it seem as though she was gossiping to him about a conspiracy theory regarding Trinity's personal life. the way Trinity attacked Shaw made me immediately dislike her, she even threatened to purposely make Shaw and Jaggers experience on the rest of the tour miserable, she never striked me as vindictive before honestly. and then even after Shaw apologised she still goes on calling her a "whore" to Jarrett and even her parents.

The fact that she's working under Emmie and her mother definitely makes her feel like she has a right to treat others like crap because they're on her bad side. she acted extremely unprofessional and immature by threatening to make their experience miserable in my opinion. I don't understand why she's the only one that talks about one day inheriting the company when there are so much other kids.

I don't understand how Devlin was pushing her to say yes when Jarrett proposed but he doesn't even know how much he hurt her. it basically seemed like she was pressured to say Yes because they barely made up enough for him to even propose just like that.

I also don't get how Jarrett is much older than trinity yet despite his age he can't even communicate properly or the fact that he owns a whole security firm but couldn't place at least one guard for his children so he's updated on how they were doing and how their mother treated them.

It could have been much better.
The heroine meets the hero and they fall in love. He’s older and is divorcing his wife, has had two children with her that he had the only two times he had set with his wife and drunk…
He also had a vasectomy.
But he doesn’t tell the heroine anything of it and when of course she finds his wife and children waiting for him at his hotel room, well, let’s say she’s not very happy.
She leaves and he has to deal with his children that while he was abroad playing the hero his wife was abusing like crazy so now they are traumatized and he decides to spend two weeks with them on holidays.
I don’t know why but he doesn’t take his phone with him so you can guess how was the heroine for all the time.
There’s more.
She finds out she’s pregnant so she’s royally pissed because she thinks he tricked her.
The thing doesn’t end well, it ends quite badly and I don’t know why the author did this thing to the heroine, she deserved more.
That was the reason why I gave two starts instead of three.
I didn’t like what happened to the heroine. I won’t spoil but it’s a very bad thing and it was imo unnecessary. And the balance was in favor of the hero who didn’t deserve any good.
And eventually the hero, with his selfish and careless behavior, after not getting in touch with her for weeks, after deceiving her and lying and all, he’s the one who has it all.
Nope, I was not happy of the ending.

1. Although this book was supposed to be a standalone, the beginning read more like the continuation of a series. There were SO many characters mentioned from previous books with the assumption that the reader already knew who they were, what their relationship was with the main characters and their backstory. It was frustrating and confusing. Eg. Mieke, Kin, Amara, Cash, Riley, Nate, Charlotte, Jace, Barrick, Brandon, Harris, London, Genesis, Aubree, Emmie, Luca, Lyric, Bentley, Sixx, Ali, Kassa.
2. Jarrett was unbelievably unprofessional and patronizing to Trinity.
a. He called her “Baby”.
b. He fired the security manager without consulting her.
c. He told her what was part of her job and what wasn’t.
d. He changed the sleeping arrangements at the hotels without consulting her so that he could put her in a room with a door that connected to his.
e. He said “Good girl” when she did as she was told.
f. He reprimanded her for taking a personal call because he thought it was a bf. When he found out that he was wrong, instead of apologizing, he hit on her.
I'm not wasting my time on this POS book.

4 1/2 stars The h is a road manager for a concert tour. When extra security is needed, the H's company is hired. Sparks fly and they enjoy the eight week tour together every night. The h discovers that the H is married with two children when they show up in their hotel room on the last night of the tour. The H and his wife are in the process of getting a divorce but his wife is dragging her feet holding out for a larger share of his assets. Then the largely absent H discovers that his daughter has been the target of his wife's abuse. Despite assurances of a vasectomy so no worries about conceiving, the h does in face become pregnant. There are complications with the pregnancy but the H has disappeared from the h's life while he tries to focus on the crisis with his children. The h has to endure her health trauma on her own. For an older man, the H is clueless about being in love. The book is number 8? in a series with recurring characters and references to their plotlines but not enough to interfere with the h and H's story. It felt like opportunities for more OW drama were missed.

like Groundhog Day

Ok…I don’t leave reviews a lot but have finally decided to call out what almost no one has. I do want to say so no one thinks this is too harsh that I love and have read all of her books, but I am stupefied one major overlooked flaw by this author, editor and beta readers.
Spoiler alert….although not really.
How is it that EVERY female in every book in every series gets pregnant? Seriously!? That same plot line repeats over and over and over. The part that just makes me roll my eyes is that every h is somehow shocked when this happens. Really?? Every relative and friend you know had an unplanned pregnancy and now you’re shocked?

I am all for that as a story line, but why and how is it happening for every character? That is pretty much statistically impossible and I’m to the point now where I read they are tired and I roll my eyes because I know what comes next. I just wish every book was not based on an unplanned pregnancy.

Possession Isn't Love. Neglect Is A Form Of Abuse Too.

Wow so abandons his kids to an abusers.

Then continues to travel and leaves them at home again.

This man doesn't know how to be there for anyone.

Even by the end.

Oh sorry, he rubbed her feet once.

So glad he got excuses for the midlife toddler.

Trinity broke herself by not demanding more from him except to be his obsession.

His reaction to her miscarriage that he forced her to endure alone after having sex with her, for no contraception is 100%.

Neglectful Narcissist.

Read to see Trinity recover from her Trauma.

Instead she got infantilised and protected from it.

As always, the issues the disproportionately impact the deprived must never be properly resolved.

And women are always at the bottom of that pile.

His just possessive, not loving.

OMG let me tell you first off besides the fact that I knew this book was about Trinity. I need nothing else. TAB is an automatic buy for me no matter what so I don’t pay attention to the description.
After a crappy week and being sick I got a surprise book in the mail. Let me tell you excited can’t even describe. Bundled up on the couch and read this book completely.
I’m not a real emotional reader, but once you get to chapter 24, I had a few tears a couple times. As usual completely sucked me in to the story to where I felt like I was there , part of the story. All I can say is now how long do I have to wait for the next one? I would definitely 100% recommend this book.

laughter, tears, and good reading

Whether you’ve read any of TAB’s books or are new to them, Shattering Trinity is a great story. You’ll laugh at minor characters, I literally laughed out loud. You’ll cry for both the heroine as she struggles to heal and the hero when the truth hits him in the face. Ultimately Trinity and Jarrett will make you love their story and glad you read a great book. And if you’re new to the Rocker Series or TAB, you want to join her Facebook groups and read all the past books because you’ll want to know who everyone is. They are a family through and through.

My least favorite from the author

There was way too much drama in this story. Most of it was just stupid drama, and the tempo of the book was all over the place. I liked Madalyn and Banks, but I really didn't care for Jarrett whatsoever. When they were first together, his reaction to men around Trinity was quite alarming, and for him to be that psycho regarding her originally, to go to radio silence made me want to write off the entire remainder of the story. I feel like the ending was really weird and didn't feel natural.

wow

Wow, just wow! I have fallen in love with Trinity and Jarrett. Trinity on the outside is strong, loving, caring and capable. She exudes confidence and stability. On the inside she’s a little girl who needs to be loved. Jarret has never known a true love until he met Trinity. He has been absentee in his family‘s life but learns what that cost him. Can’t wait for the next installment with this series. Please hurry!!!

Solid average read

Enjoyed the book but struggled to connect with the main characters. Storyline was a bit all over the place with events happening but no real conclusion. It’s been a few months since I read the previous books in the series so struggled remembering all the side characters so probably not a book for those who haven’t read the series before.

Luv the legacy series as all the children are trying to measure up to their parents! Sone do and some don’t!! Trinity is trying to be Queen Emmie & her mom put together but she is slipping a little with her personal life! She experiences tragedy without support & tries to do it all herself which never works out! Eventually it all does come round ! Tears shed & smiles in the end !!

Like o!d times

This book reminded me of old times. A book I couldn't put down.
The story of a successful women and an alpha male. But what I enjoyed most was the extra characters. Our older rockers, their off springs. A reunion of characters. Would have like to see Emma make an appearance and put Jarrett in his place at times.

OMGGGGGGGG!!!!!

Jarrett was absolute Alpha overload and I loved every page. Trinity, so strong and powerful in her own right. Together, they are one powerhouse of a couple. I absolutely loved the banter between them even when she was keeping him at a distance. A fantastic story with a huge twist at the end. Loved, loved, loved and can’t wait for more!!!!

Yes! I was waiting for Trinity's story and I was not disappointed. The one thing I always liked about Terri Anne's books is that the h never forgives the H after he gives a mandatory apology and everything is all golden again. Nooo..her female characters make them grovel. And that is something I actually like. Work for it, not make a passing go. Waiting for more from you!

All of the Rocker books rip my heart out. I absolutely adore every one of them. I know that it was discussed that there was one more book to this series, and I'm so sad. They are all such great stories.

Another Awesome Read From This Author

I think I have a new man to love - when Jarrett takes over as security for the tour that Trinity is in charge of, you just know for the get go that its over for both of them, but first we need to get through a couple of things.

He had a panic attack, and everything was forgotten. Oh, you are live, and 30 thousand people are watching, so you have to accept. Urgh, the heroine was such a pushover. The story had promise, and the writing was good. But these doormat types with zero to no grovel leaves bad aftertaste.
