From a former international model comes this brilliant spark to ignite youth for God. Is Jesus Christ relevant today? Is He the answer? Natalie Moe discovered that even in the relentless world of modeling, God does make a difference. Using her own journey to illustrate, she shows teens that God is their source of strength and they can rise up and be warriors with a message of God's love. Each chapter closes with Scripture and responds to the heartfelt questions teens have, pointing them to the truth and igniting hope and passion found nowhere but in reliance on God.
I am 31 and I actually got a lot out of this book ❤️. My mom bought me this book when I was a teen. Never read it and had many of the experiences warned about in this book and the results that come from it. I wish I read it then but I had to walk through some struggles I guess and I can hopefully help teens not make the same mistakes I did. Better late than never.
The book, Ignite the Fire, by Natalie Moe, is a reality check for people who call themselves Christians. This book is a must read for anyone who find themselves in a tough spot in their walk with God. Natalie Moe gives out various real life situations for all audiences who find themselves in a tough spot. Natalie Moe herself started off her school life in a Christian school supported by a Christian family who really encouraged her to walk in line with God. Due to her father’s job, Natalie was forced to move all over the world witnessing different cultures. In such experiences, she witnessed how terrible living conditions can be for people in different countries. These experiences completely changed her perspective on life. She began getting involved in missions work with a Christian organization named YWAM. Upon doing mission work Natalie decided to devote her life to Christ. Moe founded the organization, Models for Christ, which helps upcoming models find a career while sticking to their Christian roots. While reading this book, I opened my eyes and heart to God as I realized my walk with God was not what it should be. I could really relate to the author as we both grew up in similar situations. We both grew up being typical Christians who went to church and loved God. However this was just the outside appearance. But as she witnessed different things and met different people, she really was transformed into a new person, as I did. Throughout the book, Natalie gave a description of how to spark a flame for God inside your soul that will never dim. The way that she separated the different sections really signaled what should be the main focuses in your Christian walk. Also, each section was the perfect length. The chapters were long enough to really get to the point but not too long to the point where your mind would start wandering. In the different chapters, Natalie goes in great depth and make sure that she does not leave the reader with any questions. I would recommend this book to anybody although I believe that Natalie Moe wrote this book intending the audience to be youth. I have come to this conclusion because she really stresses that you are never too young to make a difference for God. The last chapter is even titled “Youth On Fire” and includes stories of children around the world making an impact in the world. But overall this book made a huge impact on my life as I know it will yours if you read it. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars and would definitely recommend it to anybody that genuinely wants to be on fire for God and completely turn their life around.
